A NIGHT WITH A STRANGER : CHAPTERS 181 – 190
Jayden and Lucas arrived at the hospital, Philip was surprised to see how messy their faces and body were.
“What happened? What happened to your faces? Did you two get involved in an accident?”. He asked curiously.
” Where is Maya? I want to see Maya”. Jayden asked tensely
“What”. Phillips turned his gaze to Lucas and he gave him the go-ahead.” Ok, she is in ward 10 by your left-hand side”. He said and Jayden rushed off quickly.”What happened to you two?”.
“Is nothing”. Lucas said and sat down.
“OK, if you say so, I will get the nurse to treat your face”. He walks away.
Jayden finds his way to the room, he opens the door and is surprised to see Maya. tears crawled down from his eyes, he couldn’t believe the woman he had long and yawned for was right in front of him, he felt a heavy weight was lifted off his shoulders.
” Maya”. He rushed to her quickly and took her hand.”You are alive” ” He rested his head on her sobbing.”Oh gosh, I have missed you, am so happy you are alive”. He sniffed and caressed her face.” Please open your eyes for me, I’m here now, I thought I will never see you again, I am so happy you are alive”. He kissed her forehead and hugged her. “I missed you so much, please don’t ever leave my side again”.He sobs.
Some minutes later, Lucas and Philip enter the room to see Jayden sleeping on the bed next to Maya with his wrapped around her.
” He must have really missed her”. Philip said and Lucas sighed tiredly.”What do we do?”.
“Let’s leave him alone, tomorrow we will know what to do”. Lucas said and they walked away.

The next morning, Jayden woke up and smiled at Maya, he caressed her face and kissed her forehead.
” Thank goodness it wasn’t a dream”. He said and he got interrupted from behind.
“Um, sorry I didn’t mean to interrupt”. Phillips said clearing his throat.
” Who are you?”Jayden asked staring at him.
“Am Doctor Philip, I presumed we met last night”.
” We did?”. He asked confusedly and then remembered. “Oh, am sorry, I forgot”.
“Is okay, a man in your state last night will understand”. he said.
” Thank you for taking care of her”. jayden said.
“Not a problem, it is our job to take care of our patients, but the person you should be thanking is Lucas, he saved her life”. Philips said.
“OK, thanks again, but I have a request”. He said.
” Ok, what would that be?”.
“I want her transferred”. he said.
” Um, sure, no problem, but Lucas needs to be aware of your decision”.
“OK, I will pay for all the treatment you have made on her so far”.
” There will be no need for that, it has already been taken care of”. he replied.”let me check on the patient”. He moved to Maya and started to examine her.

THE WILLIAMS MANSION
Mr. Williams and his wife were seated in the living room watching TV when Ella rushed to them smiling.
“What is it dear? Why are you smiling?” Mrs.williams asked.
“Uncle is back”. she said.
” Which of your uncles is back?”.Mr.williams asked.
“Uncle Jayden, he is back, I can feel it, he is happy”. She said.
” Really?”. Mrs.williams asked curiously and Ella nodded.
“What does this mean?”. Mr. Williams asked confusedly, then his cell phone rang, and he was surprised to see who the caller was.” He is calling”.
“Who?”.
” Jayden”. he replied and picked it up.”Hello son?”. he said on the phone and there was a pause.”What?”. He stood up quickly.”Okay, we will be right there”. he hung up.
“What happened?”. Mrs.williams asked.
” Jayden found Maya, they are at the hospital right now”. he said.
Ella and Mrs. Williams gasped.
“What?”.
” Yes, we have to hurry,”.he said and tears pulled down from Mrs.williams eyes.
Meanwhile, after Jayden got over on the phone with his father, he called Theo to inform him of the news.
“Oh my gosh! We will be right there”.He hung up.” Yes!”.he said excitedly.
” What happened?”Ryan asked as he climbed down from the staircase.
“We have to rush to the hospital, Jayden just called to inform me that Maya has been found and she is alive”.
” What, seriously!”. He said happily.” I will call Mia to inform her”. He said and they walked away.

~~~HOSPITAL~~~
Everyone was present in the room with tears and happiness mixed together, but was surprised to see bruises on Jayden’s face.
“What happened to you son? Why do you have bruises on your face?”. Mr. Williams asked.
” Did you get involved in a fight?”.Theo asked.
“Yeah, something like that”. He said while caressing Maya’s hand.
” With whom?”Ryan asked.
“It doesn’t matter”. he replied.
” Finally, my mind is at peace, but how did you find her?”. Ma.lucy asked.
“It was a miracle aunt”. Jayden replied. ” I got to see Maya again all thanks to Lucas,”.he said.
Everyone was stunned and confused.
“Lucas?”. Mrs. Williams asked.
” Yes, he saved Maya”. He replied.
“He did?”. Mia asked surprisedly
” Yes, we met at the bar last night and we got into a serious fight and argument, and after that, he took me to the place where he had kept Maya all these while”. he explained.
“So, that’s how you got those bruises?”. Diana asked and he nodded.
The rest were still confused.
” How is this even possible? How did he find her?”.Theo asked confusedly.
“Truly they say ”Blood is thicker than what ”.Ma.lucy said.
” How do you mean?”. Mrs.williams.
“I–“. Ma. Lucy was interrupted as Lucas opened the door and entered.
Everyone turns in his direction.
” Hello people”. He said smiling and walking straight to where Maya was and he caressed her hair.”Hello kid sister, how are you feeling today?”. He asked and was about to kiss her forehead when Jayden pushed him off.
“What the hell?”. Jayden said.
” Did you just say kid sister?”.Mia asked confused.
“Yeah, I did, well, let me inform you all here that Maya here is my Kid sister”. Lucas said smiling
Everyone was stunned.
” What? What nonsense are you blabbing about?”. Jayden asked furiously.
“Is the truth”. Ma Lucy said and everyone wide mouth in surprise.
After a few minutes of explaining the whole thing to them, everyone became speechless.
” How is this even possible?”. Mrs. Williams asked.
“Well, I was shocked as well when I found out about it, I discovered she has the same blood group as mine, but when I went for a DNA test, it matched one hundred percent”. Lucas said.
“Are you kidding me right now? Maya never had any siblings, she is an only child”. Jayden said.
” Well, not anymore, she has a big brother now, and she is not alone anymore”. Lucas said.
“She was never alone”. Jayden said.
” Remember I said we will always see each other”. Lucas said.
“This can’t happen, an enemy of our family can’t be trusted”. Mr. Williams said.
“You don’t need to worry about that Mr. Williams, I still don’t like your family and I will not want anyone related to me to be part of this family”. he said.
” What is that supposed to mean?”.Ryan asked.
“What it means that I am taking my sister with me once she regains consciousness “. Lucas said and everyone was surprised.
” You won’t dare, Maya goes nowhere with you”. Jayden said angrily.
“And who are you to stop me? She is my sister and I have every right over her”. He replied.
” And you think I will allow you to come close to her?”.
“You can’t stop me Jayden, if I had known sooner that she was my sister, I would have ended whatever relationship between the two of you, no sister of mine would be in this family”. Lucas said and they stared hard at each other.
” Can you two just stop? Maya is here fighting for her life and you two are already making decisions for her, please let’s respect her presence here”.Mia said.
“Well said, now all of you should please excuse me, I would like to have a private chat with my sister”. Lucas said.
” What? Who the hell do you think you are?”. Jayden yelled.
“You should watch your words Jayden, I have every right to send you out”.
” You won’t dare”.
“Jayden please, let’s give them some privacy”. Mrs.williams said.
” Hell no Mother, there is no way I am leaving Maya alone with him”.
“Please, is just for a moment, he has the right”. Mr. Williams said.
“You people truly believe what he was saying, I can never trust him”. Jayden said.
“Please son, he is telling the truth, let’s just give him a moment with her “. Ma Lucy said
Jayden refused, but they all persuaded him until he agreed and they all left the room. Lucas sat next to Maya and caressed her hand.
” Am so happy to know that we are related”. He sighs.”Don’t you think you have slept enough, it’s time to wake up, everyone is worried, please Maya, wake up and I want you to know that I am here for you, I want to hold your hands and tell you that I am your brother”. He sighs sadly.
Outside the corridor, Jayden was feeling restless.
“Calm down son”. Mr. Williams said.
” I can’t calm down, what if what he says comes to reality, I don’t want to lose Maya to him”.
“You are not going to lose Maya to him, Maya won’t go anywhere with him”. Ma.lucy said.
” She is right, If Maya is bet to choose between you and Lucas, she will definitely choose you”.Diana said
“You don’t have to be scared Mr.williams, the most important thing is that Maya is alive, all we need to do is for her to wake up soon”. Mia said.
“Please son, try to calm down, Maya can never abandon you and her child”. Mr. Williams said.
They all sigh tiredly
