The next morning, Ryan was in the kitchen making breakfast, he kept smiling as the sweet night between him and Mia kept ringing in his head. Mia came over wearing his shirt and it showed her sexy legs. She leans on the doorstep smiling at him.
“Good Morning”. She greeted cheerfully.
Ryan turned to her.
” You are up”. He moved to her and helped her sit on the kitchen counter and he stood between her legs.” Why are you up so early? You could have waited for me to bring breakfast for you in bed”. He smiles caressing her face.
“Well, I try to, but your delicious breakfast woke me up”. She said.
” Really?”. he kissed her neck and caressed her waist, Mia closed her eyes enjoying the tender kisses around her neck.”F*ck! I can’t get enough of you, Mia”. He stares deeply into her eyes.
“Me too”. They smile at each other and they kiss passionately.
Theo suddenly walks in on them and turns around quickly and they break out from their kisses.
” Sorry, I didn’t see anything”. He said and turned to them smiling.”Hope I didn’t ruin the moment, I was just coming to get water”. he moved to the refrigerator and grabbed a bottle of water.
“Are you going out for a jog?” Ryan asked seeing him dressed in his morning jogging outfit.
“Yeah, it’s been a while since I did that, you wanna join me?”.
” Nah, maybe some other time”.
“OK, see you two later and please get a room”. He said and walked away.
” Sorry about that”. Ryan said.
“Is ok, hurry up with the breakfast, am starving”.
” Sure, go sit in the dining, and wait for my delicious breakfast to be served”.
“Ok”. She jumped down and moved to the dining table.
Some minutes later, they were both having their breakfast, Ryan was stealing gazes at Mia and she blushed avoiding his gaze.
” What do you want to do today?”. He asked.
“hmm, I would like to go to the beach, It is Sunday, and it is a sunny day”.
“Ok”. He said and they continued eating.
Meanwhile, Theo was jogging along the street with the memory of what happened between him and Diana at the party kept ringing in his head.
” Come on Theo, this is not you, is just a kiss, and you can’t be affected by that, A lot of girls have kissed you before, so, this one means nothing”. He grunts.
The night of the kiss became a bother to him as he kept thinking about it, he hadn’t been himself since that night.

••JAYDEN’S MANSION ••
Two days later…..
Maya was feeding Hayden with breast milk while Jayden was on the phone with a client as he was pestering around the room.
“OK, we will talk more on Monday during lunch, bye”. He hung up, then there was a knock on the door, he moved to open the door to see Linda at the doorstep.
” Sorry for the disturbance sir, but your parents are here to see you and Ms.Maya”.
“OK, we will be right there”.
” Ok, sir”. she bowed and left.
Some minutes later, everyone was seated in the living room including Ma.lucy.
“So, what do you think of the data of the wedding?”. Mrs.Williams asked.
” Um, yeah next month’s twentieth is ok by me”.Maya said.
“Me too”. Jayden said.
“Good, what a great idea,” Ma.lucy said.
” We can start arranging for it then”. Mr.Willams said.
“Exactly, there is no more time on our side”. Ma Lucy said.
” I can’t wait anymore”. Mrs.williams said and they laughed.
Suddenly, there was a scream coming from Diana’s room, Andrea rushed to them to inform them that Diana had collapsed, and quickly everyone rushed to her room to see her laying lifelessly on the floor.
“Diana!”. Maya screamed and Jayden carried her up and rushed to the car.
An hour later, everyone was present in the hospital including Theo, they were waiting patiently for the doctor’s report.
” Come Maya stop crying, nothing is going to happen to her”. Mia said consoling her.
“Am scared, I don’t want anything to happen to her”. She sobs.
Nothing is going to happen to her”. Jayden said.
Doctor Michael came out and they rushed to him.
” Doctor, how is she?”. Theo asked cautiously.
“Will she be okay?”. Jayden asked.
Michael sighs sadly.
” Am sorry, her condition is beyond us, her liver is failing and it is by God’s grace she is still leaving “. He said and everyone gasped.
” No, tell me this is not true”. Maya sob.
“Can’t something be done?” Mr. Williams asked.
“We are trying our best”.
“please try harder”. Theo said.
” Can we see her now?”Ryan asked.
“Yes, you may”. He said and they all rushed to the room to see her conscious on the bed with a nasal cannula on her nose and a drip fixed on her hand.
” Diana, please you have to fight this”. Maya said caressing her hand as she sat next to her.
“I believe she will make it out of this”. Mrs.williams said.
” Let’s hope so”. Ma.lucy said and they sighed sadly.

Days later, everyone kept coming to see Diana in the hospital to pray for a quick recovery. Theo was seated next to her as he caressed her hand.
“I don’t know why I am feeling this way, Diana, why am I being affected by all this, why do I keep having your thoughts in my mind?”. He sighs tiredly. ” This is not me anymore, I can’t seem to forget the kiss at the party”.
“A kiss?” Jayden interrupted him from the doorstep.
Theo turns in his direction looking surprised.
“Um”. he sputtered.
” What is going on Theo?”. Jayden asked staring straight into his eyes.
A moment later, both were on the hospital balcony.
“That’s what happened”. Theo said as he explained everything to Jayden.
” Really? she kissed you?”.
“Yeah, since that night I couldn’t help what I feel anymore, I know it was just a kiss, but that kiss was different, I can’t stop thinking about it”.He said and Jayden sighed as he patted his shoulder.
” I totally understand that feeling, I also felt that way toward Maya”. He said.”Does she know about the kiss?”.
“I don’t think she remembered”.
“I know, welcome to the lover world bro”. He said smiling.
” But why her? Why do I have to develop feelings for her? I mean, I have been with different women and no one seems to capture my heart, but why Diana?”. He asked confusedly.
“Because she is special, and destiny has its ways of doing things in our lives”.
” And now I am so scared of losing her”. he said sadly.
“You are not going to lose her, Diana is a strong woman and she is going to fight it”. Jayden said.” Come here”. They hug each other.”Everything is going to be fine”.he reassures him.

A week passed, and everyone was waiting for Diana to regain consciousness.
“Diana, please fight this, Hayden hasn’t been himself since you fell unconscious, he misses his godmother so much, please wake up”. Maya said sadly with Hayden on her lap.
” You have to fight this Diana, please”. Jayden said.
“Why is all this happening now”. Ryan said sadly.
” Please God, let Diana come out of this, there is plenty of things I need to tell her, I need to tell her how I feel”. Theo prayed silently to himself.
Everyone became calm, suddenly Diana began to jerk on the bed struggling and the monitors were making sounds, and everyone panicked.
“What is going on?”. Mia asked confusedly.
” I will get the doctor”. Theo said and rushed out quickly.
“Diana! Please don’t! Diana”. Maya sobs.
Doctor Michael enters with some nurses and he ushers everybody out. Everyone left the room, the doctor and the nurse were trying to save her life. just then the monitor showed a straight line and Diana gave a last breath and passed out.
Everyone was waiting in the corridor, Maya cuddled in Jayden’s arms crying same goes for Mia, Ryan patted her on her shoulder while Theo leaned on the wall staring at the ceiling sadly.
” Please Diana, I need you, please stay for my sake”. Theo said to himself sadly.
“Please Diana, don’t do this, you have to fight this”. Maya sobs.
” She will make it, I believe”. Jayden reassured her.
“She can’t die”. Mia sobs.
” Let’s hope on God, she survives it “. Ryan said.
Then Michael came out and they rushed to him.
“How is she doctor?”. Jayden asked.
” Is she alright?”. Theo asked curiously.
Micheal sighs sadly.
“Am sorry, we tried our best, we lost her”. he said.
Everyone was shocked.
