In the majestic kingdom of Valdoria,where tradition and duty reign supreme lived a princess called Katharina,an epitome of beauty and a very kind heart.
She’s known to be someone that exudes happiness and radiates with joy, but that changed when her parents who are the King and Queen of Valdoria kingdom proposed her marriage to Prince Henry from a neighboring kingdom called Augusta.
Princess Katharina was devastated and told her parents that she can’t marry someone she doesn’t love, but they refused and that made Katharina to come up with an idea.
She thought of running away from the Kingdom to the town to escape from the marriage, but there was no way that will be possible because the securities around the kingdom are very tight.
But Princess Katharina being the determined one, devised a daring plan and eventually escaped but how did she do it?

VALDORIA MARKET SQUARE*
Princess Katharina walked through the bustling Market Square, her maids following her. People bowed and curtsied as she passed.
She wore a stunning golden gown with silver threads and a delicate crown with precious gems. Her long black hair almost reaching her butt.
As she stopped at a stall, a vendor offered her a bouquet of fresh flowers.
“For you, Your Highness” he said with a smile. Katharina took the bouquet, her mind preoccupied with the upcoming royal ball.
The kingdom was buzzing with excitement, and everyone was talking about the grand celebration.
“The royal ball will be amazing, Your Highness!” said one of the maids.
“I’ve heard many important guests are coming” added another.
Katharina smiled, feeling happy and excited. She loved parties and this one would be the best night of her life.
Just then, a commotion caught their attention. A man was harassing a lady openly, his hands grasping her arms as she tried to break free. The maids gasped, shocked by the scene unfolding before them.
Without hesitation, Katharina rushed towards them, her royal presence commanding attention.
“Let her go at once!” she demanded.
The man, taken aback by the princess’ intervention, released his grip, and the lady stumbled back, tears streaming down her face. Katharina quickly embraced the lady, comforting her.
“Are you alright?” Katharina asked in a tone laced with concern.
The lady nodded, still shaken.
“Y-yes, thank you, Your Highness.”
Katharina turned to the man, her voice stern.
“Such behavior will not be tolerated in our kingdom. Leave now, and do not return”
The man immediately ran off without looking back.
The lady, still emotional, thanked Katharina again before leaving too, still shaken from what just happened.
“Long live Princess Katharina!” someone shouted, and the chant was taken up by the crowd.
“Long live the brave Princess!”
“God bless our princess!”
Katharina was taken aback at the sudden attention, but a smile spread across her face as she waved graciously to the crowd. Her maids surrounded her, beaming with pride.
A small girl, no more than ten years old, pushed her way through the crowd and curtsied before Katharina.
“Thank you, Your Highness” she said, looking up at Katharina with wide eyes.
“You’re a true hero!”
Katharina laughed and lifted the girl up, hugging her tightly.
“I’m just glad I was here to help” she said, her voice warm and kind.
The crowd continued to cheer, and chant as Katharina walked away with her maids behind her.

NEW YORK, BLACKWOOD WINE COMPANY*
A luxurious Rolls-Royce Phantom car, pulled up to the entrance of the Blackwood Wine Company. The driver, dressed in a crisp black suit, stepped out and opened the rear door, revealing the handsome and imposing figure of Marcus Blackwood.
The CEO of Blackwood Wine, the leading wine Company in the city. He had built an empire of sophistication and elegance,his wines renowned for their exceptional taste and quality.
Marcus, dressed in a tailored navy blue suit and silver tie, stepped out of the car and gazed up at the building like skyscraper, before him.
The workers immediately greeted him in respect, as he walked inside. His walking step was confident and it commanded authority.
“He’s just too handsome” one of the female workers muttered, looking at Marcus retreating figure dreamily, and her Co worker looked at her.
“I know right? I wish he’s my man”she cupped her face.
“Stop drooling on boss and get back to work” a male co-worker said and they sneered at him.
Marcus finally got to his office after an elevator ride to the top floor.
He approached his office and the door slid open immediately to reveal a spacious office with a stunning view of the city skyline.
He made his way to his desk and he sat down. He let out a slight sigh, feeling the weight of his responsibilities settle onto his shoulders.
The door suddenly opened and his secretary, Rhea, walked into the room.
“Good morning, Mr. Blackwood,” she said, her voice professional.
“I have your schedule for the day, as well as some important documents that requires your attention”
Marcus nodded, his eyes locking onto the files in her hand.
“Thank you, Rhea. Let’s get started.”
Rhea smiled and began to brief him on the day’s agenda, her words efficient and to the point. Marcus listened intently, as she listed them.
“Cancel the first schedule” he said simply said.
“Noted sir” she said and wrote down something on the book with her.
“Now get me my favourite coffee” he said and Rhea left to get it.
Marcus stood up from his chair, his eyes drawn to the stunning view of the city skyline outside his office window. He walked over to the window, his hands slipping into his pockets as he gazed out at the towering skyscrapers and bustling streets below.
As he stood there, his mind went to his first wife. His first marriage to Sophia,the love of his life,ended in devastating loss when she died shortly after giving birth to their daughter, Hazel, leaving him heartbroken and alone to raise their 7 years old spoilt brat.
Despite his best efforts, Hazel grew up to be a rebellious and stubborn child, often throwing tantrums and getting her way.
His parents,eager to see him happy and settled again, had been pestering him to remarry. But he was adamant, He was content with the occasional fling,never wanting to commit to anything serious again.
“I’m not interested in marriage” he would tell his parents. “I just want to have fun and live life on my own terms”
But his parents were persistent, insisting that Hazel needed a mother figure in her life. They introduced him to Natalie, a beautiful and charming woman who they said would be the perfect partner for him and a loving step mother to Hazel.
Now he’s stuck….the sound of the door brought him back to the present. It was Rhea, bringing in the coffee.
“Here it is sir” she dropped it on his table.
“Thanks,you can go” he dismissed her and she left his office.

NIGHT AT VALDORIA PALACE, KATHARINA’S ROOM*
The royal ball was about to start, and Katharina was dressed in a stunning red velvet gown, her hair styled in an elegant updo. The gown hugged her curves perfectly,and the red colour brought out the sparkle in her eyes.
“Your Highness, you look absolutely breathtaking” Elara,her personal maid said, stepping back to admire her handiwork.
Katharina smiled.
“Thank you, Elara. I’m just a little anxious, I suppose”
“It’s natural, Your Highness” Elara said, placing a reassuring hand on Katharina’s shoulder.
“The royal ball is a big event, and there will be many important guests in attendance”
Katharina nodded, taking a deep breath. She knew that her parents would be making an announcement tonight, but she had no idea what it could be.
Just then, the door burst open and Katharina’s younger sister, Calantha, rushed in, her eyes shining with excitement.
“Katharina, Katharina! Guess what? The prince of Augusta has arrived!” Calantha exclaimed
Katharina raised an eyebrow, curious about her sister’s sudden excitement.
“And that’s exciting because…?” she asked.
Calantha’s face turned bright pink as she whispered.
“He’s so handsome, Katharina! I can’t believe I finally get to meet him in person!”
Katharina chuckled “Well, I’m sure you’ll make a lovely impression, Calantha”
“I can’t wait to see him at the ball! I’ve heard he’s charming and kind, too” she giggled.
“Let’s go! I can’t wait to see the prince up close!”
The two sisters made their way to the Royal ballroom, their elegant gowns rustling as they walked. As they entered the grand hall, Katharina’s eyes widened in awe.
The room was filled with nobles and royalty from different kingdoms, all dressed in their finest attire. The sound of laughter and music filled the air.
Calantha grabbed Katharina’s hand, her eyes shining with excitement.
“Look, Katharina! There he is! The prince of Augusta!”
Katharina followed her sister’s gaze, and she saw the prince standing across the room, his eyes fixed on her.
He was dressed in a dashing black tailcoat with gold embroidery, his white shirt and black trousers perfectly tailored to his athletic build. A black cape flowed behind him, and a golden crown adorned his dark hair.
Calantha’s grip on Katharina’s hand tightened as she made to pull her towards the prince.
“Come on, Katharina! Let’s go meet him!” she exclaimed in excitement.
But just as they were about to approach the prince, the sound of trumpets filled the air, and the king and queen of Valdoria made their grand entrance. The room fell silent as the royal couple made their way to the throne, their majesty and power commanding the attention of all.
“My dear subjects, esteemed guests, and honored royalty, welcome to the royal ball! Tonight, we gather to celebrate the union of our kingdoms and the betrothal of our beloved daughter, Katharina, to the prince of Augusta!” The king’s voice boomed through the hall, and Katharina’s eyes widened in horror as she stared at her parents in disbelief.
What did her dad just announced?
The whole hall kept clapping happily oblivious to Katharina’s confusion and sadness right now. Her parents never discussed this with her.
“You know about this?” Calantha asked, looking surprised.
“Believe me,I’m just hearing this for the first time” Katharina said and she walked out the of ballroom angrily, to her room.
Minutes later,the king and Queen walked into her room.
“Why did you walk out of the ballroom in that manner? Don’t you know it’s disrespect?” He questioned her.
“Tell me what you announced in there is nothing but a joke, please” Katharina silently wished.
“It’s not a joke, you will get married to Prince Henry and that’s final” The king declared
“No, Father, you can’t be serious!” she exclaimed.
The queen’s expression turned stern, her eyes flashing with warning.
“Katharina, dear, this is a great honor for our family and our kingdom. You will make a beautiful bride and a wonderful queen”
“I can’t marry him ,dad,mum please” she pleaded.
“There’s nothing you can do to change our mind”
Katharina’s mind raced as she searched for a way out of this nightmare. She couldn’t marry someone she didn’t love, someone she didn’t even know. She felt like she was living in a dream, a dream that was quickly turning into a nightmare.
“I want to see you back in the ballroom in the next 5 minutes or I will send guards to get you” The king said and they left her room.
Katharina sobbed silently as she sat on the bed. The door opened and Elara came in.
“My princess,you don’t look happy”
“And that’s because my parents are forcing me to marry someone I don’t love!” Katharina exclaimed.
“I didn’t know that, Your Highness. But I’m sure it’s not that bad. After all, Prince Henry is a handsome and charming prince.”
Katharina shook her head, tears streaming down her face.
“It’s not just about physical appearance, Elara. I want someone who understands me, someone who loves me for who I am. And I don’t even know Prince Henry!”
“I understand, Your Highness. But perhaps you can try to get to know him better? Maybe he’s not as bad as you think”
“I’m not interested, Elara. My parents have already made up their minds. I’m just a pawn in their game of power and politics”
“I heard that tomorrow is the formal betrothal ceremony” Elara said and Katharina eyes widened.
“So soon? My parents have really gone to far”
“Elara” Katharina suddenly called.
“Yes,my princess”
“I think the person for me to do now to prevent this is to run away, and I will need your help with that, please”
“My princess, that’s risky. The securities outside are tight and I’m sure the King and Queen would have alerted them not to allow you step outside of the palace so you won’t run away”
“I can’t stay here any longer so you have to help me”
“Then what’s your plan your Highness?”
