THE BLACKWOOD’S MANSION*
Hazel entered the guest room quietly and saw Katharina sleeping peacefully on the bed, they brought her in an hour ago after rescuing her from Natalie’s clutches.
As she drew closer, Hazel noticed Katharina’s skin was red and irritated, especially on her face and arms. Her eyes and eyelids were swollen, and her skin had tiny bumps. Hazel felt sorry for her, knowing she must have been through a terrible experience.
“Look what that stupid Natalie did to miss beauty,she’s so heartless”
Hazel sat down beside Katharina, being careful not to disturb her. She looked at Katharina’s face and saw dark circles under her eyes and a faint bruise on her cheekbone. Despite what she had been through, Katharina still looked beautiful.
Hazel gently brushed a strand of hair out of Katharina’s face and tucked it behind her ear.
The door opened, Mason and Madison walked in.
“Hazel, she needs to rest” Mason said gently.
“Why don’t you let her sleep?”Madison asked and Hazel shook her head, her eyes fixed on Katharina.
“I want to stay with her. And where’s my dad? I want to see him”
“Hazel, please. Your dad is fine. Just let Katharina rest”
“Why aren’t you replying me? Nothing happened to him, right? You all told me the accident wasn’t serious” Hazel said.
“Yes, now stop worrying” Mason said.
“I want to see my dad, now!” she demanded.
“Your dad is fine, Hazel! Just calm down!”
“You’re not telling me the truth!” she exclaimed. She rushed out of the room, slamming the door behind her.
Mason and Madison sighed, exchanging a worried glance.
“Should we just tell her?” Mason asked quietly and Madison hesitated.
“I don’t think so. Not yet” Madison said and they both left the room. Katharina opened her eyes in an instant the minute they exited the room,she heard all the conversations.

MRS GRAY’S HOUSE*
Mrs Gray stirred the pot of stew on the stovetop, her mind wandering to Katharina. She sighed, feeling guilty for helping Natalie capture her. But what choice did she have? Natalie had threatened her with her daughter, and she couldn’t risk that.
Speaking of her daughter, Emily had been in her room since last night’s argument and has refused to come out. Mrs. Gray wiped her hands on her apron and headed upstairs to check on her.
She knocked gently on Emily’s door, and when there was no response, she opened it and went inside. Emily was lying on her bed, sulking.
“Where’s Katharina, Mum? I miss her” Emily said, her voice muffled by the pillow.
“You’ll see her soon, dear” Mrs Gray replied.
“When?” Emily asked, turning to face her mother and Mrs Gray hesitated, unsure of what to say.
“Soon, dear. Just be patient”
“Mum, don’t I have a father? You never talk about him to me. Where is he?” Emily suddenly asked.
Mrs Gray’s eyes widened in surprise. This was the first time Emily had asked about her father. She didn’t know what to say, so she remained silent.
“Let’s not talk about that now, sweetie”
“Then when, if not now? Everyone have a father, why’s mine different?”
“I have nothing to say to you” Mrs Gray said. What can she possibly tell a 7 years old girl in a way she will understand? That she’s just a product of a one night stand and the father doesn’t even knows she exists because she never told him about the pregnancy.
“Mummy say something”
“Let’s not talk about that now, sweetie, we need to focus on your health right now. You have a big day tomorrow” Mrs Gray asked.
“What’s tomorrow?” Emily asked.
“Your first chemotherapy session, sweetie” Mrs. Gray replied gently.
“We need to get you ready for that. It’s going to be a tough few months, but we’ll get through it together”
Emily’s eyes widened in surprise.
“Chemotherapy? What’s that?”
“It’s just a treatment to help make you better, sweetie. You’ll be okay”
Emily looked nervous already and her mum placed a soothing arm on her shoulder.
“We will get through this together,I promise”
“Am I going to die?” She asked scared already.
“Heaven forbids that. You won’t die, okay?” Mrs Gray said and she hugged her tightly.

VALDORIA KINGDOM*
Dominic and almost dying Elara were dragged before King Ryker, who sat on his throne with a dark smile spreading across his face.
“We see again, son” King Ryker said.
“What do you want from me? You disowned me, remember?”
King Ryker’s smile grew wider.
“Keep quiet! I’ll get back to you later. Elara, or what do you call yourself? You’re really lucky… My plan was to kill you, but now that you’re here, my plan has changed”
Elara trembled, her eyes wide with fear.
“P-please, Your Majesty… Mercy…”
“Mercy? You dare ask for mercy? You’re a traitor. You’ll be lucky if I let you live”
“I-I was just helping the princess… I didn’t mean to betray you…”
King Ryker’s laughter sent chills down Elara’s spine.
“Take her away and treat her wounds. I want her alive… for now”
The Royal Physician entered the room and carefully lifted Elara into his arms, carrying her out of the throne room.
King Ryker turned his attention back to Prince Dominic.
“Now, son, how have you been…”
The doors to the throne room burst open and Queen Lirian rushed in, her eyes setting on her son, she let out a cry of joy and rushed towards him, tears streaming down her face.
“Mother!” Prince Dominic exclaimed. He rushed to embrace her, and Queen Lirian gave him a warm hug, holding him tightly as if she never wanted to let him go.
“My son, my son! I’ve missed you so much! I was so worried about you!”
Prince Dominic hugged her back, He had missed his mother dearly, and it felt amazing to be reunited with her.
“Enough! Get them out of my sight!” he roared , pointing at Prince Dominic and Queen Lirian.
The guards moved forward, escorting them out of the throne room. As they left, Queen Lirian turned to Dominic.
“Your father has become worse, Dominic. He kept Calantha in the dungeon for days just because she refused to marry the man he chose for her”
Prince Dominic rolled his eyes.
“Father at it again, he’s so annoying. Mother, any news on Katharina?” he asked, Queen Lirian shook her head, looking sad.
“I’m afraid not, Dominic. I really miss my daughter”
“She will come around, mother”
Queen Lirian placed a hand on his arm.
“I know, dear. I just hope it won’t be too long” she said and he sighed.
Dominic mind went to Elara immediately and he began to wonder what the King wants with her.

NEWYORK, AT A CLUB*
Bianca can be seen dancing on the dance floor with so much energy. She had always loved clubbing, the freedom and release it brought her. Tonight was no exception.
As she danced, a hand reached out and grabbed her arm, spinning her around. She faced a tall, dark-haired guy with piercing blue eyes. He smiled at her, and she felt a jolt of electricity run through her body.
“Hey, you’re quite the dancer” he said, his voice shouting over the music.
Bianca laughed.
“Thanks, I love it!”
“Want to grab a drink with me?” He asked, Bianca hesitated for a moment, then nodded.
“Sure, why not?”
As they made their way to the bar, Bianca couldn’t help but feel a sense of thrill. Who was this guy?
“I’m sorry, but I didn’t catch your name” Bianca said.
“My name is Max” he said with a smile.
“And you are…?”
“Bianca” she replied, smiling back at him.
“Bianca. That’s a beautiful name”
Bianca felt a blush rise to her cheeks as she looked away, trying to play it cool.

VINSON’S PLACE*
Natalie was waiting for him in his room since she didn’t see him when she came back from the hospital.
The door suddenly opened,and Vinson came in.
“Guess what? The deed is done already” she said triumphantly getting up to go meet him but he pushed her away.
“Hey what’s wrong?”
“You failed, Natalie. You couldn’t even do a simple task”
“I don’t understand. I injected him with the injection like you instructed me too”
“It wasn’t him! That was someone else” he said and Natalie became more confused.
“I don’t understand,what do you mean it wasn’t him”
“I think they know about you coming or something. In a simple explanation,the plan failed”
“Fuck! So what are we going to do now?”
“Just get out of my sight,you are annoying the hell out of me” he said with clenched teeth and Natalie quietly left his room.

Katharina came out of the room and she headed downstairs meeting Julian and Leonardo in the sitting room.
“Katharina, right?” Julian asked her.
“Yes..ma”
“We are so sorry this happened to you”
“It’s okay ma. Thank you so much for coming to save me”
“Don’t mention it,we did it because it’s the right thing to do and Marcus told us about it” Leonardo said.
“Your skin needs treatment,I will send a doctor tomorrow to come treat you so your beautiful skin can come back to how it was” Julian said and Katharina smiled.
“I’m sure you are wondering where Marcus is,right?” Leonardo asked and Katharina nodded shyly.
“Marcus will be home soon, just be patient”

ON THE HIGHWAY*
Natalie’s car suddenly came to a halt on the side of the road. She groaned in frustration and got out to take a look.
Just as she came out of the car, a loud noise pierced the air. Natalie felt a sudden jolt and looked down to see a red stain spreading across her chest. She looked up to see a figure coming from the shadows, a gun still clutched in their hand.
Natalie’s eyes widened in shock as she stumbled backwards, her hands grasping at her chest. She fell to the ground, her vision blurring. The last thing she saw was the figure looming over her.
“Bye forever” the figure said, before turning and disappearing into the night.
Natalie’s eyes slowly closed, her body went limp. The sound of footsteps faded into the distance, leaving her alone in the darkness.
