Delvin was trying not to put his brain where it was leading him to.

“Yes, she should have just ignored me if she never liked me, why did she have to lead me on by getting intimate with me, and then what?, dumping me stating we were just horny adults” Vince said calmly and Delvin opened his mouth slowly, he had always know girls swarming around Vince all his life, so what changed?, to the point he had to sell his heart to someone older than him.

“You slept together?” Delvin asked wondering how Vince got so weak towards a woman and Vince nodded.

“Gosh” Vince cursed slowly and ran his fingers into his hair.

“I was so dumb thinking she was starting to have feelings” He cursed himself and Delvin winced.

“Tell me, is the Older woman you are talking about eventually Mina?” Delvin asked and Vince looked up quickly with his mouth and eyes opened widely.

“Wh…what?…I no” Vince stammered slowly and Delvin stared into his eyes.

“Don’t lie to me, tell me truth, she is the one right?” Delvin questioned and Vince shook his eyes and looked away from him.

“How…how did you find out she was the one?”…

VINCE’s APARTMENT

“How…how did you find out she was the one?” Vince questioned slowly and Delvin scoffed unbelievably.

“Who wouldn’t find out?, that day when we all drank Coffee together it was so obvious,” Delvin stated and Vince shook his eyes slowly.

“Hyung…”

“Are you crazy?, how could you even think of loving her?, she is not just a year older than you, not two, but six!” Delvin snapped and She sighed sadly.

“It just happened , I… it was love at first sight” he replied licking his lower lips and Delvin looked away from him.

“It can’t happen Vince, I mean she is too old, And she just ended a relationship of 10 years , do you think it will be easy to jump into a new one with someone is not even older than her Junior brother?”

“Hyung!”

“Forget about the feelings , end it, it can’t work, she made it clear to you anyways”

Vince scratched his hair frustratedly.

“I know it can’t work but I love her!, if she doesn’t have feelings why would she let me make love to her then?!”

“And so what?, why are you still acting like a kid?, you fuck girls at Clubs but you don’t feel attached, what made you think she didn’t do same to you?” Delvin snapped and Vince breathed out slowly.

Did she really see it as that?, yes she does, she said it herself.

Vince nodded at Delvin stared at him.

“You are right, it can never work between us” Vince uttered and laid down on the bed facing the other side.

His face held bittersweet sadness and silence, Delvin was right, he should try as much as possible not to get affected by her again.

Delvin watched Vince silently and sighed, what had gotten into him?, why would he make such mistake with Mina whom he himself calls with respect.

He covered Vince up properly and rubbed his hair.

“I have to leave so I can go to work tomorrow, I will call Eeoma over tomorrow to take care of you” Delvin said but he got no reply and he sighed and stood.

He will be fine, it’s best he forgets about Mina.

Vince shut his eyes when he heard the door shut and he breathed out opening them back.

MINA’s APARTMENT

THE NEXT MORNING

Mina walked out of her room as the sweet smell of Breakfast hit her nose, she was all dressed, although she won’t lie, she had a restless night, thinking of Vince been sick and all.

“Morning Unni” Tessy greeted as she approached the dinning, she made a toast bread and steamy tea.

“Morning, how you feeling?” Mina questioned pulling out a chair as she sat.

“Terrible” Tessy muttered sitting opposite Mina.

Mina chuckled and stared at her.

“Did you still think about Delvin?” She asked and Tessy looked up.

“I did , but well I think it won’t work because it doesn’t seem like he likes me “she said and Mina Chuckled and licked her lower lips.

If only Vince was fit, she would have boldly said that she has someone who likes her so much.

“Are you okay?, you also seem a bit off” Tessy asked her and Mina looked up and nodded.

She stared at her food and started eating,

“Am good” she lied and Tessy nodded, Mina sighed out loudly and faked a smile, she is fine, and doesn’t have anything regarding Vince in her heart again.
