CHAPTER 110
8PM, MILLAS’APARTMENT**
Maxwell’s car drove into the house, and he came down with Jemima who was looking so nervous.
He smiled when he saw her restlessness, and he held her hand, so she faced him.
“Calm down, I’m here” he whispered.
“What if she chases me away?” She bit her lip, and he laughed.
“Where’s your boldness back then at the office?” He teased.
“Max!” She pouted, and he touched her face.
“Trust me, I’ll handle everything” he whispered, and she nodded with a relieved smile.
He held her chin and kssed her lips slowly.
“Let’s go” he pulled her to the door and opened the door straight up.
“Mell is home!” Warren stood, but immediately he saw Jemima, his eyes widened.
“OMG Miss Jemima!”
Cypress rushed out of her room, and granny Suzy dropped the scarf she’s knitting to look up.
“It’s really her” Cypress said surprisingly too.
“Good… evening” Jemima said awkwardly.
“Daughter-in-law is finally here!” Warren quickly took her from Maxwell and pulled her to Cypress who was looking stern.
“Hi” Jemima waved, and Cypress smiled dangerously.
“I have just one thing to say, if you break my brother’s heart then I’m breaking your legs” she said, and Jemima smiled.
“That won’t happen”
“Welcome” Cypress said, and Jemima hugged her.
“What!” Cypress blinked.
“I’m sorry about last time, thanks for accepting me” she said, breaking the hug.
Cypress nodded and eventually smiled, then they hugged again.
She faced granny Suzy afterwards, and she walked to her and sat beside her on the couch.
“Mother” she called.
“I’m not your mother” granny Suzy said, and she bit her lip hard, then to everyone’s surprise, tears came out of her eyes.
“Why are you crying?” Cypress asked, and granny quickly faced her.
“Why the tears? I didn’t beat you” she said.
“I really love your grandson so much, please accept me I’ll do anything… don’t chase me away” she sniffed, releasing more tears.
“Gosh, are you really same age as Cypress? I hate crybabies” granny said and quickly started wiping her tears with her hands.
“Stop crying, you look ugly” she said, and Maxwell smiled widely as he watched them.
“Have you eaten?” Granny asked, and she nodded yes.
“Then go sleep, we’ll talk tomorrow morning” granny said, and she nodded before hugging her.
“Thanks granny”
“Newsflash everyone, I got my pay from Calvin, and we’re definitely moving out of this house tommorow” Maxwell announced.
“Seriously? Mell, seriously?” Cypress said without blinking.
“I’m not joking” he replied.
“Yes!!!” Warren and Cypress screamed, and granny smiled when their eyes met.
“I should start packing my things” Cypress rushed into her room, and Warren followed her.
Granny stood and entered her room after exchanging goodnight, then Maxwell grabbed Jemima’s hand and took her into his room.
Immediately they came in, she hugged him, and he smiled.
“I’m so happy, seems they’re gonna accept me, and I promise not to disappoint them, at all” she said, and he raised her face to plant a kss on her hair.
“I trust you” he said, and she smiled before hugging him again.
“You’re too perfect for me”
“Why did you say that?” He asked, caressing her scalp.
“No reason” she replied, and he chuckled as he kssed her hair again.
