CHAPTER 115

“Burst his balls, completely” chairman smirked, and Maxwell faced Jude again, finally flipping him to the ground.

Jude landed loudly, and he raised his shoe to the middle of his legs with the aim of smashing his balls for real…

“Please! Please don’t!” Jude cried out, and he dropped his leg immediately.

“Anything to say?” He asked, and Jude sat up, then he went on his knees from there.

“I’m so sorry, I was out of my senses” he pleaded, and Maxwell sighed.

“You’ll visit the cops instead, you should spend the 24 hours in detention for harassment” he said and got his phone to dial the cops.

“Please! Please don’t do it I promise it won’t happen again and . .

“Shut up! And you’re fired ok? You’re fired! I regret bringing you all the way from Australia already, you should go back after coming out of detention” chairman cut him off, and he went mute as Maxwell dialled the cops.

They came for him in a jiffy, and Maxwell released a loud exhale before rushing back to Jemima.

“Are you ok?” He held her face, and she nodded.

“I’m fine baby”

He kssed her forehead, and chairman smiled.

“How did a spider get in here in the first place? Isn’t it all linked?” Maxwell suddenly said.

“Are you trying to say Jude brought it in? It’s only you, dad, Francesca and Sloane who knows about my arachnophobia” Jemima replied.

“Still, we should check for facts” chairman said and called for the security from the power room.

He brought the lead laptop with the footages and played it right in front of them.

No footage of Jude entering the office, so Jemima faced Maxwell.

“See?” She said, holding his right hand.

“Then was there really spider in the office? It’s too clean for such” he said, and she rubbed his right cheek fondly.

“Stop worrying, I just need to cleanse the office air, ok?” She said.

“Fine” he replied, pulling her into his arms.

“You guys don’t ever get tired of lovey dovey?” Chairman suddenly said, and they broke the hug to face him.

“Why are you here in the first place?” Jemima frowned.

“Isn’t this hatred too much for your dad?” He smiled.

“Who told you I hate you?” She replied, and he smiled again.

“I’m here for scrutinizing, care to tag along?” He said, and Maxwell quickly released her.

“You should go with him” he said.

“What would you be doing?” She asked.

“I have things to sort out in my office, don’t worry your boyfriend won’t run away” he winked, and she pecked his lips before going to chairman.

“Follow me” chairman adjusted his spectacles and started walking away.

“Hold my hand!” Jemima called out, and he stopped.

She walked to him and held his hand, smiling secretly.

“Back to being daddy’s daughter?” He said, and she laughed as they walked out of the room hand in hand.

Maxwell smiled brightly, watching them till they went out completely.
