CHAPTER 26

CleoSpeedy suddenly walked up to him…

“So…you became leader’s new secretary because of me?” She said.

“What!” Maxwell blinked.

“I know you have a crush on me! I see the way you stare at me at the pool hall! You obviously became her secretary so you could see more of me in here, lowlife!” She said proudly.

?? Whoa!

Murmurs began, and Jemima started coming down from the stage.

“You’re ¢razy, seriously” Maxwell smiled, and CleoSpeedy’s eyes widened.

“What!”

“Yes i do stare at you, but each time I do that, do you know what I always think? HOW COULD A HUMAN BE SO BRAINLESS? IF BRAINS STARTS FALLING LIKE RAIN, I’M SURE SHE’D USE AN UMBRELLA” Maxwell replied.

?? What!

?? How bold!

“How dare you!!!” CleoSpeedy yelled.

“I have a crush on you?” Maxwell laughed and continued. ” I’ve never crushed on anyone all my life, and if I’d do, it definitely won’t be on a senseless celeb like you”

“Bstard!!!” CleoSpeedy shouted, pouring the wine in her cup on his white suit before trying to slap him, but Sloane caught her hand.

“Are you mad? Let me go!” She ranted madly.

Maxwell was still looking at the ruined suit when Jemima finally got to them.

She turned CleoSpeedy to herself and sI.apped her soundly, twice on a cheek.

?? The fk!

“That’s for Lina” Jemima said, and Maxwell’s eyes widened when she sI.apped her again for the third time on the same cheek.

Her five fingers appeared on that cheek.

“Jemima!!!” CleoSpeedy yelled as tears forced itself out of her eyes.

“That’s for disrespecting Maxwell, now get out of here! You’re not allowed to attend tonight’s party!” Jemima ordered.

“What!” CleoSpeedy gasped, going on her knees…

“Don’t tell me you’re gonna start begging!” Tatiana said, coming closer.

“No…I … I wanted to pick my fallen earring” CleoSpeedy replied and picked it before standing, looking restless.

“You’re sending out a member cos of your secretary?” Tatiana said, facing Jemima who was still unmoved.

“Are you the leader, or me?” Jemima smirked.

“I don’t care but it still doesn’t make sense that you’re sending her out cos of your worthless secretary!” Tatiana shouted.

“And right now you’re included, you can’t attend tonight’s party too” Jemima replied.

“What!” Tatiana’s eyes widened.

“Get out, you two” Jemima said, and Tatiana scoffed before coming closer again, so she’s right in front of her.

“You’ll pay for disgracing me tonight, read my lips bch!” She shot and waltzed out of the hall

“You’re worse, I swear” CleoSpeedy muttered and left too.

“Now, can we enjoy the party in peace?” Jemima faced the rest, and she was supported with a loud applause.

She faced Maxwell, and he smiled handsomely. She didn’t returned the smile before starting to walk back to the stage.

“Let’s get your suit changed” Sloane said beside him, and he faced her.

“Changed?” He blinked.

“There’s a collection of wears in case of a situation like this” Sloane smiled.

“Oh…”

“Yeah, please follow me” she replied, leading the way out of the hall.
