CHAPTER 96
“I’m fine Miguel, I must have overworked so I need a lotta rest, you should go to bed” she replied.
“Will you seriously be fine? I don’t want you to get sick, and promise me you’d stop overworking” he said, and she smiled slightly again.
“Ok big boy, goodnight. I love you!” She pecked his cheeks and went upstairs.
She took a warm bath immediately, and she changed into her nightie before sitting in front of her mirror, thinking about none other than Maxwell again.
She actually went to a bar to drink immediately she left Skyline, but she couldn’t bring herself to take even a gulp cos Miguel hates it.
She sighed and took a picture frame on the table.
It contains her and Jemima, both wearing highschool uniforms.
She removed the frame and dropped the picture, and another picture fell out.
She took it and turned it the right way, his face came to view. Darrell.
The handsome devil who almost ruined their lives in highschool, the gold digger who deceived them all because they kept their relationship a secret from each other.
Tears fell out of her eyes when the memories started coming again, and when she remembered what’s currently happening with Maxwell, she sniffed and rested her face on the table, crying more.

CLEO’S PLACE
“You didn’t say you’d be coming” CleoSpeedy said when Lincoln came in.
He was looking pissed, and he didn’t reply till he fell on a couch.
“Anything the issue?” She asked.
“Warren has got some nerves” he replied, sitting up.
“Wait… You got disgraced, right?” She laughed.
“I’m gonna make him regret that” Lincoln smirked.

FLASHBACK~ SOME HOURS AGO
Warren made to go in, but he was surprisingly blocked by Lincoln.
“Lincoln?” He said, and Lincoln smiled.
“Can we talk?”
“Talk to you? Nah I’ll pass” Warren rolled eyes and made to go in, but Lincoln pulled him back.
“Do you have a death wish?” He rolled eyes, and Lincoln smiled again
“I don’t mean any harm, let’s talk business”
“What business? You’re not satisfied with the one you did in highschool?” Warren said hatefully.
“C’mon you still remember that? We’re grown now” he replied.
“Grown? You bvllied me like crazy just because your dad owned the school. I could have been traumatized if not for Mell” Warren said.
“Wait…are you indirectly asking for an apology for that right now?” Lincoln smirked, and Warren came closer.
“I don’t need your worthless apology, I’d rather watch a dog sleep” he said.
“What!” Lincoln frowned
“Don’t just mess with Mell, that’s my only warning, I’ll really kll you if you do” he said and walked out on him, into the building.

“You didn’t tell me you attended same highschool!” CleoSpeedy said surprisingly.
“Well now you know, I was planning to give him some stack so he’d work against Maxwell, but seems they’re too tight” he replied.
“I told you your plan is jargons, didn’t I? You should have listened” CleoSpeedy said.
“Wait are you even still concerned? Maxwell is growing every hour and now he’s in 35! The tournament is in a month, what if he wins! What if he joins The Diamonds!” He shouted, and CleoSpeedy faced him swiftly.
“Stop it! That’d only happen when I’m dead, you think I was joking when I said I must end him even if it means klling him? You can count on me”
