She smiled widely, feeling euphoric. ‘You came for me, again’
Eyes fell on them as they walked the full hallway, and girls began holding their chests, trying hard to breath and remain standing.
Kenzie is an enigma who has a lotta girls at his beck and call, and despite their large number, he has never been caught holding hands with anyone of them before, or flirting publicly.
It’s only fuvk, and fuvk, and more fvck.
He does his thing in the dark corners of his choice, and his bitçhes respect his choice of privacy, but now?
Now he’s holding the hand of a random girl, walking down the studio hallway with her?
Hazel didn’t even try to hide her face when they began photographing them, and when her eyes met with Penny’s in the crowd, she saw Penny gasping for breath dramatically.
She smiled shortly before returning her eyes to her hand that Kenzie is holding.
Again, the warmness of his palm got to her skin, and she noticed the bracelet on his wrist…. it’s decorated with small dices of different numbers.
She looked up to him and found him focused on his walk…he’s not looking back at all, and he didn’t look back till they were out of the place.
They arrived at the car park, and he finally let go of her hand.
She immediately folded that hand, feeling the large void.
He faced her, and she almost flinched cos of the pressure of his expressive eyes.
He doesn’t need to say it, he looks mad, but what exactly is he mad about?
Didn’t he just save her from Amber’s wrath?
“Why were you at the studio?” She asked and applauded herself inwardly for not stuttering.
“I didn’t save you…i did what I did cos of Amber herself” he replied coldly, and she felt a clench in her throat.
Of course, trusting Kenzie Torrance is like standing on packs of tissue paper…the end result is always the ground.
“I…I know…I wasn’t expecting it to be because of me. You couldn’t possibly come there for me after sending me out of the pool two days ago and then ghosting me completely, right?” She replied, trying to hide the hurt under her voice.
“What’s your point?” He replied blankly.
Christ…this twisted bastard will never give her any chance to understand him, will he?
He’s not even concerned about her wounded head right now?
“I mean…what business do you have with Amber?” She asked, and he let out a bored sigh.
“It’s none of your business, end of story” he replied, and she scoffed, wiping the blood on her head with her palm.
He opened the car door.
“Get in” he ordered.
“No.” She replied, and he cocked his head.
“Be a good little girl and get the fuvk in”
“No. You don’t get to give the orders always ok? I’ll ride a taxi” she said flatly and rushed down the park.
The sharp grain of sand were poking her flat shoes, and that made her quicken her steps.
Immediately she got to the road, Kenzie’s car appeared beside her.
“Are you enjoying this, evergreen?” He asked from the window, driving with an hand .
“I’d rather walk home than drive with you” she replied, and he almost laughed, but he crossed her with the car anyways, and he came down.
“Get in” he opened the door again.
“Why? So you can touch me anyhow in the car?” She scowled.
“Get in, unless you want me to capture your precious Cole and blow his brains out” he threatened, and her eyes widened.
“Don’t! Don’t go near Cole!” She flared, and he ticked his head towards the open car
She rolled eyes at him before getting in angrily, and he joined her, driving roughly down the road.
The drive back to the estate was silent, and it’s surprising that he didn’t try to pull words out of her mouth till they arrived.
She looked over at him and saw his eyes focused on the wheel, and she almost started staring when her eyes caught his neck tattoo, but she had to stop herself..
A smirk appeared on Kenzie’s lips…He saw her actually, from the corner of his eyes.
She got down from the car when he halted at the garage, and she didn’t wait to say a word before storming into the annex.
“Interesting” Kenzie said with a sadistic smile as he came out, but then she saw her hair ribbon on the seat she stood from.
Does she have dozens of the green ribbons or something?
She doesn’t even know how to tie it cos they always fall off, but the amusing thing is that she shows up with new ones everyday.
He bent over the seat to pick it up, but then her scent assaulted his nose instantly.
Water lilies.
That seat scents like her already, and it’s so…
Before he could admit it, he straightened his frame and shut the car door, giving up on the ribbon before entering the second mansion.
Immediately he stepped in, Eminem and Natty began laughing.
Obviously, they saw the pictures of him and Hazel online already.
It’s trending, and girls are busy throwing curses and hate comments at Hazel.
“Did I see wrong in the picture or what? You held a girl’s hand? Not just any girl but my Hazel?” Natty grinned, showing him one of the pictures.
“Your Hazel?” Kenzie frowned.
“Nyeah! She’s my girl!” Natty winked, and Kenzie made a sour face.
“So it wasn’t photoshop? You really held her? Now you just placed her on the wheel of hate and don’t worry I’ll help her with hijab for whenever she’s going out so your crushes won’t murder her” Eminem grinned.
“Bloody fucker” Kenzie rolled eyes at him, getting vape pen from his pocket.
He turned it on, sat his arse down and began smoking.
“But seriously what happened inside before you took her out? Did Amber do something wrong?” Natty asked.
“Did you forget what I told you about how she played him? Dude waited but she never came!” Eminem replied.
“Seriously? Please tell me Amber is currently blind” Natty laughed.
“I swear to gawd you two” Kenzie stood, and they began laughing, holding on to each other.
“We’re meeting him tonight, so get your shits straight” he said, going in.
Miguel remained sitting, like he’s not even part of the house.
His eyes are closed, and he remained that way till Eminem and Natty went inside too.

ANNEX*
Maria finished treating Hazel’s forehead just now, and she immediately attached a hello kitty bandaid to the small wound.
“Did you meet the Amber girl before? Why did she hurt you like this at first sight?” She asked.
“I dunno, but it looks like she hates me a lot … For no reason” Hazel replied.
“So how’s it gonna go with the audition?” Maria asked.
“Surely i’m not getting in the band” Hazel shook her head, and Maria nodded once, taking her hands
“Don’t worry, more opportunities will come” she said.
Hazel smiled sadly, and she stroked her hair.
“Am I interrupting something?” Natty asked as she peeped in.
“Oh… Natty? I’ll be at the kitchen” Maria quickly stood and rushed out.
Natty came in, holding a really big bag.
“Natty…hey” Hazel stood awkwardly.
“Can you stop the awkwardness? Speak freely we’re like buddies” Natty said, and Hazel smiled as she dropped the bag on the bed
“I heard what happened at the audition, and I’m sorry about it. Try to ignore what Ken’s crazy fan girls are saying online. You’re not like them, you’re special” Natty stroked her cheeks, and she smiled.
“Now I get why everyone calls you cheeks ”
“But my cheeks aren’t even big, it’s just round” Hazel chuckled.
“But they’re still there” Natty winked, and she smiled again.
“These are for you” Natty pointed at the bag on the bed.
“For me?” She unzipped the bag, and her mouth widened when she saw handful of wears.
Tops, gowns, skirts, bum shorts… even trousers and there are some shoes too.
“But…these are…
“Don’t worry they’re all new. I haven’t worn any. Ken buys me dresses every now and then, and I don’t like them. You can just have them” Natty cut her off.
“Kenzie?” Hazel faced her.
“Yeah. Whenever he’s bored out of his mind and doesn’t wanna do sèx with his bitçhes, he goes shopping for me” Natty explained.
“Weird” Hazel muttered.
“I know, right? Ken won’t be attractive if he’s not weird” Natty laughed, and her phone beeped.
It’s a text from Eminem.
“Need to go right now” she told Hazel, and before Hazel could reply, she was already out.
She was rushing so much that she didn’t notice Lee who’s coming towards the annex with a bowl of chips.
“Thought she might like it” he muttered, eating one from the bowl.
He turned to go to the second mansion, but then she saw Natty getting in the car what the guys.
“Oops” he muttered, watching the car drive out.
“Lee?” Hazel came out of the annex.
“Here, have it” he gave her the chips bowl, and she stood befuddled as he rushed back into the main mansion.
“What’s going on” she muttered.

GREG A. HOSPITALS*
Amber could be seen sitting on a bed in a ward, her back on a pillow, looking like a pissed devil as the doctors and nurses checked out her vitals.
Her right eye is mad swollen as a result of the phone hit, and the left one is watering, greatly affected too.
“The eyes will be normal again within three days with effective treatment” a doctor said, and she scoffed.
“Are you kidding? I’m the leader of my band and y’all know! If my eyes aren’t better before tomorrow morning then I’ll have my father kill every single doctor in this bloody hospital! Okay? Do something!” She shouted at them.
“Amber!” Katherine rushed in, and the doctors made way for her.
“How did this happen?”
“You sure don’t wanna hear the gist, Kathy… I’m gonna squeeze life out of that ratty girl by myself. Kenzie hurt me because of her! And the funniest part? He knows her body scent when she’s just a fuçking maid at his father’s estate! What have they been doing!” Amber ranted on and on.
“Same Kenzie who’s obsessed with getting you?” Katherine said unbelievably.
“You’re shocked too, right? Who knows what sick mojo the little witch used on him? I need to get rid of her!” Amber seethed
“How did you gather the information that fast though?” Katherine sat beside her.
“Her best friend also came for the audition” Amber replied.
“Best friend?” Katherine muttered, and Penny came in
“Oh …So you’re taking her into the band?” Katherine asked.
“Of course. I’m taking her and that filthy girl, that’s the only way I can get to her” Amber replied.
“Thanks, we’ll do our best” Penny quickly said, and Amber rolled eyes at her.
Hope came in, and Amber held her forehead.
“Not tonight, please. If it’s about the girl, then I’m taking her and Penny into the band. Are we good now?” She said.
“Better” Hope replied and walked out of the ward.
Katherine got a call from Cole, and she stepped out to pick.
“Tell me…are there weaknesses to your friend that I should know about?” Amber asked Penny.
“Why… should I…tell you that?” Penny replied slowly.
“You don’t wanna be popular in the band? You don’t wanna get recognized?” Amber scoffed.
Penny started picking on her nails.
“I know you’re from a poor farming family so giving you some millions will make you change your mind” Amber said cornily.
“Millions?” Penny gasped.
“Yeah, fool. Now tell me, what are Hazel’s weaknesses?” Amber leaned forward.

LORD STEEL’S EMPIRE*
Kenzie drove into the iron gate, and immediately he brought the car to a stop, the empire guards surrounded it.
He came out with the rest of the guys, and the guards stepped back.
“Where’s Lord Steel at?” He asked ruggedly.
“The storeroom” they replied, and Kenzie led the guys in.
The wide empire is surrounded by hemlocks, and on each tree, there are at least five guards.
The smell of cider mixed with the smell of smokes, creating a eerie atmosphere.
There are armed guards standing on each door they walked through till they got to the storeroom.
There are hundreds of slave workers bagging drugs in there, and they’re all under the supervision of Lord Steel himself who’s sitting at the topmost part of the stuffy room like a god.
The most notorious criminal in the country, leader of The Devils.
He’s a bulky man in his early fifties, wearing a black hat and a fitting suit. There’s a fat tobacco pipe between his big lips.
“I got the news of your deeds, Kenzie. You hurt my daughter” his thick voice rang around the room as the four assembled in front of him.
“Is that forbidden?” Kenzie replied with his brows raised, and he chuckled darkly.
“Nothing is forbidden for you, spawns. Hurt whoever you choose to inflict pain on, I’m only concerned about my goods and your loyalty. Are y’all ready for the initiation tomorrow? There should be no commas” he said.
“Yes, boss!” They all bowed except Kenzie who kept his head up.
Lord Steel grinned crookedly.

COLE’S MANSION*
Katherine came in to meet Cole sitting in the living room calmly, and she immediately threw her bag down.
“What do you have to say to me? An apology on your knees?” She said arrogantly.
“And why would I apologize?” Cole stood.
“Why wouldn’t you apologize? You dumped me in the middle of a dark road Cole! I only corrected you with the slap so I see no reason for your unnecessary anger!” She fired.
“Corrected me with a slap? How does that sound in your ears Kathy! Who does that! You think you’re free to treat me like a slave just because your father strengthens my father’s company? Is that it? Let me tell you something new, before we started dating, I and my dad were doing well without your father! We were rich without you and letting you go won’t mean anything to us!” He slammed, and her eyes widened.
He turned his back and began striding upstairs, but she quickly went after him.
“No…no Cole. I’m…I’m sorry it’s all my fault I admit…I shouldn’t have slapped you…I was wrong ok?” She blocked him on the stairs, and he sighed as she held his face.
“Ok? I was wrong, please forgive me” she hugged him, and he folded his fists, unable to hug her back.

NEXT DAY, TORRANCE ESTATE*
It’s 8am, and breakfast will soon be served.
Everyone is settled at the dinning room except Kenzie, and Anna sighed out
“He’s not gonna eat again? What exactly is going on with him?”
“Where is he?” Hugo asked.
“He’ll join us. He made it clear that he’d be eating this morning” Natty replied, then Maria came out of the kitchen with Hazel, holding trays of food.
They were in the middle of serving everyone when Kenzie came in nonchalantly, his poker face on.
He was looking uninterested as he advanced, but that changed when his eyes landed on Hazel.
He stopped on his tracks.
She’s wearing one of the bum shorts Natty gave to her and a green singlet.
It’s her first time trying out shorts, but Maria said it looks good on her, and Anna even complimented it, so she feels good with it.
Kenzie couldn’t look away for one minute straight. Ok two minutes….
Maybe three???
He didn’t count, he just kept staring, and Hazel felt heat crawling to her cheeks immediately.
Why the hell is he looking at her that way???
Natty smiled slightly when she saw what’s going on, and Eminem did the same.
Miguel remained his stoic self, and Anna wondered why when she noticed.
Hugo and Lee were looking confused.
Hazel gently bit her mouth wall, dropping the last cutlery in front of Hugo
Maria quickly covered her, and Kenzie finally was able to look away.
He joined the table, and when he tasted his food and felt the salt on his buds, he ate more and more.
Anna smiled widely.
“This morning is a good one” Eminem chuckled.
“Tell me about it” Natty agreed.

Hazel arrived back at the annex with Maria and got a call from Penny.
She rushed to the gate to meet up.
Surprisingly, she’s with Hope, the third member of the band.
“Hey, you look good in the bum shorts!” Penny beamed, but Hazel didn’t even have the time to look her way.
“Hope?” She said, still looking dumbfounded.
“Welcome to the band” Hope smiled brightly, and Hazel gasped.
“Seriously?”
“Yeah babes. Amber decided to take us in, and she’s willing to apologize for what happened yesterday if you come to her place later today” Penny chirped.
“Just like that? We got in… just like that?” Hazel said unbelievably.
“You’re good. Your voice and aura reminds me of Erika. Can’t wait to be on stage with you” Hope widened her arms, and Hazel hugged her.
“I’m so thankful and I seriously wasn’t expecting this. I don’t even know what to say” she said happily.
“Just stay good, Penny will bring you to Amber in the afternoon” Hope replied, and Hazel broke the hug to nod.
“Sure, I’ll see you”
Hope left with Penny, and Hazel was about to rush back in excitement when Cole’s car drove to a halt, and her eyes brightened.
“Cole!”
“Hey you look happy this morning, and fuvk! You look sèxy in your shorts” he fawned as he came out of his car, and she shocked him by hugging him willingly.
It’s even so tight that he couldn’t breathe.
“Hazie” he smiled, hugging her back.
“I got accepted into the band!!” She squealed, wanting to break the hug, but he held tight, inhaling her scent.
“Congratulations, are we gonna be seeing you on screen soon?” He said, finally releasing her.
“I think so…why are you here?” She blinked, still smiling.
“I’m on my way to see my mum, thought I could see your face before seeing her” he replied.
“Then run along, don’t keep her waiting” she nodded, and he immediately sneaked a kiss into her hair.
“I’ll call you” he told her before entering his car.
He left, and Hazel finally ran all the way into the mansion.
She couldn’t wait to break the news to Maria, but Maria is still busy at the main mansion, so she decided to wait.
She grew impatient and started looking for things to get herself busy, then she remembered the game on her phone.
She went into her room to get it, but shockingly, she met Kenzie inside already, sitting on the edge of her bed with a predatory look in his eyes.
He looks mad again, but she doesn’t give a damn this time.
“What are you doing here?” She questioned.
“You must have thought I was joking when I said Cole isn’t allowed here anymore. A big mistake” he replied, picking his words meaningfully.
“And I can remember telling you that he’s my friend and I can’t possibly push him away cos you don’t like him!” She snapped.
“Do you have a stupid crush on him? Big enough to wear that in front of him?” He stood, his height swallowing her whole as he stared at her bum shorts.
“So what if i have a crush on him? And what’s so bad in wearing bum shorts? Other girls wear it I’m not the first” she replied.
She went for her phone on the bed immediately, but before she could get it, he already grabbed it.
“Did that arsehole get you this?” He raised it up with tippy fingers and a murderous look in his eyes.
“Kenzie… No” she fidgeted, but it wasn’t enough, cos he smashed the phone on the wall, and the pieces scattered across the room.
Hazel let out a deafening scream, her body trembling as she watched the phone green pouch which landed in front of her.
“You bloody, sick psycho! I hate you!!!” She yelled, and in the next minute, he was already with her.
He easily grabbed her wrists, and tears shimmered in her eyes as he slammed her back easily on the wall, trapping her arms above her.
His intoxicating spicy scent and energy surrounded her as she tried to fight back the tears.
She’ll never cry in front of him, never.
“Why are you doing this to me? Kenzie…why?” She sniffled.
“I have not even started, sweetheart.” He muttered to her face.
