PROLOGUE

The mirror reflected a face she detested – a face her family deemed ugly, a body they ridiculed as fat.

For as long as she could remember, she was the outcast, the one they mocked and belittled.

Her parent’s cruel words still echoed in her mind: “You’re worthless, a burden, a shame to our family.”

The pain and shame had become too much to bear. One fateful night, she packed a small bag and fled, leaving behind the only home she knew.

Tears streaming down her face as she vanished into the darkness, determined to escape the tóxic love that had suffocated her for so long.

As she disappeared into the unknown, she whispered a vow to herself…

“I’ll prove them wrong, I’ll make them regret the day they ever hurt me.”

Now the question is will she prove them wrong? Can she make those that hurt her pay?

Who is she?

Her name is Cookie Gregory, second daughter of Mr. And Mrs. Lukeson Gregory. She’s the ugly child of the family.

Her two sisters, Jennifer and Maria are always adored by their parents but she never gets any word of praises, it’s as though she doesn’t even exist in the family.

She might as well dîê and no one will notice, her sister always pick on her and her mother often calls her piggy, she was neglect so bad that she tried committing suÎcide and her family said it’s for the BEST

Now she has had enough and ready to leave, roaming deep into the world without any destination.

Will she return to her family at some point?

Will she survive In the outside world?

Can she make them pay for all they did to her? If yes, then how?

THE OUTCAST

Cookie dragged her long suitcase down the dark street of Vegas, tears streaming down her cheeks.

The street light eliminating the whole environment, it was already past 1 in the morning so she couldn’t see in the street.

She was scared, really scared of leaving home by this time of the day but when she looks back, she always remembers her sister’s hurtful words.

“You can just jump over the bridge, Cookie, I can even fry you and still be hungry cos you’re a waste of air, space and food,” her sister Jennifer had said to her while laughing.

“She’s a foodie, can’t you do without eating Cookie? Mother shouldn’t have brought you home cos you’re worthless and useless to us,” her little sister Maria has mocked her.

“You don’t belong here, go away you fat pig,” Jennifer shoved at her, pushing her down.

“Who’s gonna marry you now pig?” Maria asked, making a pitiful face.
