CHAPTER 49
Juliet stormed through Jennifer’s room, her frustration clear in every movement.
She had followed her mother and Jennifer the night before, overhearing their conversation.
Today, she skipped school, pretending to head to class but returning home as soon as everyone left.
Juliet searched desperately for the video, turning the room upside down. She lifted the bed, shifted the curtains, and rummaged through the wardrobe, but found nothing.
Her frustration boiled over as she wiped sweat from her face, sitting dejectedly on Jennifer’s bed.
She tried to think of where Jennifer might hide something that would make their mother side with her but no ideas came to mind.
Realizing she needed to leave before Jennifer came home, Juliet walked toward the door. As she closed it, a strange sound caught her attention.
She pulled the door open and accidentally touched a small bird toy attached to the doorframe.
Suddenly, the ground beneath her feet shifted, revealing a hidden compartment.
Juliet gasped and rushed forward, her heart racing. This had to be Jennifer’s secret stash.
Inside, she found a flash drive resting on top of a photo. Juliet snatched it, quickly closing the hidden door by touching the toy bird again.
She hurried to her room, grabbed her laptop, and plugged in the flash drive.
Her laptop booted up, and she clicked on a file labeled “MOM” in all caps.
Her breath caught as the contents of the file appeared. Shock overwhelmed her, and she dropped the laptop.
It would have crashed if not for the rug beneath it.
After ten minutes of stunned silence, Juliet slowly picked up the laptop. Her face showed deep disappointment and hurt.
Juliet pulled out the flash drive, closed her laptop, and put it in her backpack.
She couldn’t keep this to herself, it was too much and too painful. She needed to show someone else.

Later that evening, Cookie lay on her bed, scrolling through her phone when a new message popped up.
She tapped the screen and saw..
“COME TO THE SCHOOL NOW!”
Cookie frowned, suspecting it was from Regina or Ryan since there were no orders or any indication of who else could be involved.
She slipped on her black jacket and headed downstairs.
Blue looked up from the couch.
“Going somewhere?” she asked.
Cookie nodded.
“Got a message. I’ll be back soon.” she replied.
“Just so you know, I’m having a sleepover at Richard’s.” Blue called after her.
Cookie stopped and turned.
“You two are dating now? That was fast.” she squeezed her brows.
Blue grinned.
“We’re just friends with benefits,” she winked.
Cookie didn’t reply, leaving the house and hopping on her bike.

When she arrived at the school, it was eerily quiet and dark.
She dismounted, removed her helmet, and let her hair fall loose. She walked cautiously toward the school building, glancing around.
Her phone buzzed again with another text:
“COME TO LAW CLASS”
Annoyed, Cookie muttered.
“Who the hêll is this?” she asked herself.
She figured Ryan and Regina couldn’t be behind this since they won’t be giving such order so who?
She decided to wait for whoever it was to show themselves instead of blindly following directions.

I think the new development is cool but how will the 300 get to you, speaking of those who do’nt have.
If this is the admin i also want to become a writer like i want to post my stories here but i do’nt know how to start or do it i need guidelines i am looking forward on getting feedback thank you.
