Kayla’s Pov:
I breathed heavily as I watched Natasha walk away.
Is this the extent of her bitterness?
Does she hate men this much?
This is really very bad!
I have to apologize to them for what she just did.
I walked into the house with my head bowed.
“That girl is nothing but an ingrate” Marvin screamed
“You’re right Marvin…. She’s so ungrateful!” They chorused
“I don’t think she is” Jayden said and everyone gasped.
“What? You mean you don’t see any fault in what she just did?” Marvin asked
“Yes… I mean what she just said isn’t bad” Jayden said.
My eyes widened in surprise.
What the…..
Is Jay defending the girl that just insulted him?
“Come on Jay! I know what she did is bad but please am sorry” I pleaded
“There will be no need for the pleading… It’s OK!” He smiled.
I smiled back at him but I was still confused.
How come he doesn’t see anything bad in what Tasha did?
I shrugged it off.

Natasha’s Pov:
I walked out of the bathroom with a towel tied to my chest.
I applied my cream on my spotless skin.
But then I paused and thoughts of what happened an hour ago rushed back into my memories.
I mean this is quite unbelievable….
After how rude I talked to that Jay guy, he still saved me from drowning.
But wait… Did he give me mouth to mouth….
OMG!
I hope he didn’t kiss me….
My lips curved to a sweet smile.
He’s cute though
But I just don’t want to be friends with them.
I know deep down inside me that I shouldn’t have talked to him that way.
But I just have to so that he will stay away from me.
I have to pay him back for saving me.
I can’t owe him!
Gosh!
He probably carried me in a bridal style to the sitting room.
I jumped on the bed happily.
It’s been a long time since I was carried in a bridal style.
I giggled.
I have to go to bed before Kayla comes home.
I don’t have the strength for her scolding.
She can be a mommy at that one.
I quickly put on my nighties and bounced on the bed.
I kept thinking about the previous happenings before I slept off.
And very early in the morning, I left for work.
I don’t want to see eyeball to eyeball with Kayla until she’s not angry any longer.

“Damn…” I yelled as I kicked the car tyre angrily.
I’ve got a flat tyre.
I glanced at my wrist watch and groaned.
It was already getting dark.
8:57pm….
Almost nine o’clock in the night.
“Why do you have to break down here by this time?” I asked the car tyre like it was human
What do I do now?
I walked up and down restlessly.
I picked up my cell phone and dialed the car repairer’s number but unfortunately he said he was out of town.
“What do I do now?” I yelled angrily.
Just then, the thunder clapped noisily and I was so scared.
To worsen the whole situation, it was about to rain.
I was stranded.
I tried reaching Kayla but she wasn’t picking up.
I bet she still angry with me cos of last night.
There was heavy lightening and thunder and the rain started falling.
I tried fixing the tyre but I couldn’t.
I was already drenched in the rain and shivering.
I was freaking pissed off and tired as hell.
Just then, I heard someone’s voice in the dark lonely path.
“Here!” The voice said and I turned around.
A thick jacket was handed to me
I couldn’t say a word cos I was shivering.
I quickly put on the jacket.
That was when I saw the helper’s face clearly.
“Jayden?” I called as I collapsed into his arms……
