“Wow bro… That’s so brilliant of you” Marvin laughed
“Of course I know what I was doing” I smiled
“I didn’t know you could make that girl fall for you” Marvin said
“She’s just so interesting to be with” I said
“Well let’s see if she will accept your offer to be your girlfriend” Marvin said as we continued playing games.

Days and weeks passby….
Natasha and I became very close.
We were seen together almost all the time
I even drop her off at work everyday.
She’s the most lovely person I know.
Thoughts of her made me smile everyday.
She made my stay in this godforsaken estate lovely.
I brought out my box of jewellery from my pocket and smiled.
Inside the small box is a very expensive bracelet.
Natasha and I are going to a party and in public, I will ask her to be my girlfriend.
I chuckled as I breathed heavily in anxiety.
“Come on bro I know you can do it” Marvin tapped my shoulder and I smiled in nervousness.
“I hope so” I said as I put the box into my pocket.

Natasha and I arrived at the party.
As usual, she was looking absolutely stunning in her beautiful attire.
We were having fun at the party.
There were lots of guest including celebrities. Natasha and walked to the stage as I asked for a dance.

she looked at me in astonishment.
“NATASHA PLEASE BE MY LADY!” I said loudly as everyone applauded.
Tears rushed down her cheeks.

Natasha’s Pov:
My ears couldn’t believe what I just heard.
Tears welled down my chubby cheeks as I opened my mouth to talk but I couldn’t say a word.
I closed my mouth again.
He looked at me with pleading eyes still kneeling in front of me.
I gulped nervously….
“No…. I can’t do this… No!” I shouted as I ran out of the hall
I felt so ashamed and I can’t face them right now
I ran as fast as I could straight to the garage.
I rushed into my car and drove off immediately.
I know you think am being selfish….
I know you all want to blame me or criticize me.
But believe me you won’t understand until you see yourself in my shoes.
Yes… I know I shouldn’t have embarrassed Jay that way but honestly I had no choice.
Men are full of deceit.
They made my life miserable and I don’t think am ready to face what I faced years back.
I was frustrated….
I was dejected….
I was heartbroken
I almost committed suicide cos of the shame.
I kept on driving and crying bitterly
All I want now is to cool off…..
This is too much for me.
I drove into the compound and parked my car at the garage.
I quickly got down from the car, picked up my handbag and stormed into the house.
I met Kayla at the sitting room.
She was actually watching TV.
I headed upstairs
“What’s up girl? How was the party? And you really come back early” She asked anxiously.
“Excuse me Kay!” I said not in the mood to chat with anybody.
I rushes upstairs.
She looked at me puzzled.
“What’s going on Natasha?” She asked but I paid her a deaf ear as I ran straight to my room.
I was even holding my heels on my hands.
I quickly slammed the door and locked it.
Tears continued rushing down my cheeks as I fell on the bed.
“Natasha! Natasha!! Open the door and talk to me” Kayla banged on the door.
“Please go away Kayla… I don’t want to talk to anyone, I just wanna be alone” I screamed as I hugged my pillow tightly.
