Leilani tried to hit her again, but Lysandra kicked Leilani in the chest, making her stagger.
Leilani ran forward again, hitting Lysandra back in the face.

The whole place smells like money, and the aura of wealth is unmistakable.
They’re all jamming their palms together presently cos Hailey just got to the top stage for her speech.
Leilani folded her fists, watching closely to detect any rat move.
Colt and his brothers entered from the other end, taking their seats in the front row preserved for royals.
The hall calmed, and the claps stopped as the teleprompter came on, showing the written speech to the eyes of everyone.
Truly, it’s in french, and Hailey did a good job hiding her shock.

Blake definitely gave her English written speech last night so why?

She looked at the french language again, then she darted her eyes to the waiting people who obviously can’t wait for her to start reading.
Her eyes caught Colt’s eyes in the middle of the sitting crowd, and he gave her a slight nod which made her blink gently.
She returned her eyes to the teleprompter, but the device went off immediately.
Thanks to the fact that she has everything in her head already, it didn’t affect her cos she immediately began talking.

“Je vous souhaite la bienvenue au 7ème édition du Met Gala politique ce soir, et c’est un grand honneur pour moi de prononcer ce discours une fois. Mon mari est absent pour des raisons d’affaires importantes, donc je suis là pour le représenter.”

“Shit! Judith will kill me. Damn it!” Lysandra ran out of the hall.
As Hailey came down from the stage, the clappings still persisted, and the cameras began capturing her steps again.
Her eyes roamed the crowd for Manson, but he’s definitely nowhere to be found.

She finished descending the stage stairs, and that instant, she saw a face she wasn’t expecting to see
Judith’s!
She’s coming in through the third exit furiously, but she’s not alone.
She’s with Luke and Suzy, Hailey’s parents, then Blake and the commissioner of police, then three other cops.
The attention of everyone snapped to the iconic entry again, and Hailey stood still as Judith advanced with heavy steps, her heels pounding the ground aggressively.
Everyone began standing up, and flashes flickered around the auditorium.
* Judith?
* She seems angry what’s going on?
* Told you something is wrong somewhere about the dress Hailey wore.
* Will things get messy? I can’t wait!!

And that statement was cut short when Judith arrived at Hailey’s spot and threw an hand at her face, slapping her thunderously.
