CLINIC, POE’S WARD*
“What else do you need?” The nurse in charge of Poe’s discharge asked.
“Warm coffee, and a hot breakfast” Poe replied.
She’s sitting like a queen on a couch in the ward, her lips and hands glistening with honey. She’s chewing gum slowly.
After Jinx gave her honey as instructed, her hands stopped shaking, and her voice came back too.
Seems honey is the antidote.
“Warm coffee? I’m asking what you need medically,… Go to the kitchen if you need hot breakfast, I am not your maid” the nurse said, and Poe stood, then she slapped the lady soundly.
“Poe!” Jinx pulled her back as the nurse held her face, looking at Poe shockingly.
No one but Igor has the right to touch the nurses, but Poe just changed that.
“What? You’ll tell Igor about it? Go and do it! I have Death on my side now anyways, and I’m getting shagged this morning… Tell me, when last did you get screwed by a good dîck like Madden’s? When last did you receive head from a clean tongue like his own!” Poe laughed in mockery.
The nurse stepped back, biting the side of her mouth.
“Michael went down and I came up… I should probably go to a temple and offer coconut go the gods cos they’re on my side after all!” Poe said loudly, taking the gum out of her mouth.
She stuck it to the back of her right hand and faced the nurse
“Hot coffee, and hot breakfast..now run along” she said, and the nurse left the ward.
“Aren’t you being too much? You only just got healed” Jinx said, and Poe faced her.
“What? Aren’t you happy that your best friend is back?”
“I fuçking am, but I won’t just sit and watch if you bully Micheal again” Jinx replied, and Poe crossed her arms with a snicker.
“Are you still crushing on him?”
“Be careful” Jinx replied, and Poe scoffed.
“Whatever, help me with makeup to cover my facial scars, and I need something sèxy to wear to the manor” she said.
“Are you sure you wanna do this?” Jinx asked.
“You know how long I’ve been in love with this man, so quit pretending, and start acting like my best friend” Poe muttered.
Jinx sighed.

KITCHEN*
The rain has stopped, and now the cold after-rain breeze is blowing around.
Adeline is still wet from the rain, but she didn’t even bother to change.
She has been in the the kitchen since she left the training ground.
She’s sitting beside the tall table, arms resting on the table as she stared into space.
“Wow, they’re really roasting you in the mobsters group chat” Malik said, scrolling through his phone.
“Stop talking about the chat” Loud replied beside him.
They’re both sitting at the other side of the table, in front of Adeline.
“But it’s hard to ignore” Malik replied, and Loud took his phone, smashing it on the ground.
“Dude!” Malik spranged up.
“Now it’s not hard to ignore” Loud said, and Malik almost gave him a blow, but the appearance of Lady Selesta stopped him.
She placed a big bowl of chocolate ice cream in front of Adeline, and Adeline looked up.
“Angelika owns it, but she choose to give it to you. It’ll calm you down” Selesta said.
Angelika climbed a chair beside Adeline and hugged her.
“You shouldn’t feel bad. I’ve been praying for this day, and it finally came. You’re not under the devil anymore” she said.
Adeline stayed blank for one more second before finally smiling.
“Of course… I’m happy” she said, dragging the bowl of ice cream to herself.
She began eating, and Angelika winked at Selesta.
“I told you she’d eat it!” She said.
“Thank you” Loud said, and she winked at him too.
