“I dunno what transpired between you and Madden, but know that he’s a mad sensitive person. He has chronic anger issues, and he has zero patience… You might have been hearing rumours that he’s sick in the head and doubting it, but it’s actually true.

Madden is insane, and I hate when anyone makes him lose it. This will be the first and last time I’ll talk to you calmly about it, cos the next time it happens, I’ll kill you” she said simply with an edge of craziness.

“Did he do that to your neck?” A voice came behind, and she turned to see Andrei standing there.

Maya’s neck is still red from the choking, and it’s obvious.

“None of your business” she coldly said and started leaving, but he grabbed her hand suddenly.

“You need to get it treated” he said.

Maya roughly took her hand away. “I don’t need it” she glared and left.

Andrei folded his palm, and Loud looked at Adeline.

She’s blank, expressionless like she’s not feeling anything, then she walked away.

DOWNTOWN, SERGEI’S MANSION*

Sergei’s meeting with his subordinates was cut short the moment one of his guards reported to him that Madden is here to see him.

He had to send his subordinates away, and he met Madden waiting in his living room.

The time is 6pm, and the weather is still so cold, but Madden already turned on the AC, so the room is frozen.

“Are you a corpse? I still don’t get why you tolerate cold this much” Sergei said as he walked to him.

He sat in front of him, and Madden stood gallantly, towering above him.

“Why do I have you here?” Sergei asked freely, taking off his suit.

Madden walked calculatively to him, and before he knew it, he raised his shoe to his neck, choking air out of him and almost crashing his Adam’s apple.

“Mad…kkhh!!!!!” He gagged, his face turning red automatically as Madden pressed the shoe harder.

“Grrrrrr!!!!!” He gagged again, sweating under the extreme air.

“Listen to me, Sergei Yakov… The next time you send a taxi man to spy on me, I won’t only kill you but everyone living in this area. And you even had the guts to send someone I’ve seen with you before? Step up your game, oldie” Madden said apathetically, dropping his leg.

Sergei was coughing as he fell from the couch to the ground with Madden’s unfeeling dark eyes on him.

“I know who she is even with her black wig. I recognized her… She’s Micheal, isn’t it? She deceived The Bratva, and do you know how many mob assassins will be out to get her if they know she’s a female? She’d have over 100 billion rubles as bounty on her head the moment it gets out.

Not only that, but you’d also be automatically disqualified from the future Pakhan contest cos you knew about it and deceived The Bratva too! You’d risk your father’s position cos of a woman? Please kill her right now!” Sergei said.

“Are you saying this cos of your first daughter?” Madden smirked, inserting his right hand in his slacks pocket nonchalantly.

“I genuinely care about you, Madden. I know you’re powerful but you’re too smart to start a mob war cos of a woman! I promise not to tell anything to anyone but you can’t keep it forever” Sergei stood

“When I become The Pakhan, nothing will happen even if The Bratva (organization) finds out” he replied, his accent becoming rougher.

“What if they find out before then? Erik is not dying soon” Sergei said.

“Says who?” Madden’s tone calmed__the dangerous type of calm.

“Madden we had a deal, and we both know you can’t become The future Pakhan without me” Sergei calmly said too.

“And who says I’m not gonna uphold my part of the deal when she comes back? For now, stop spying on me, else I’ll really kill you” Madden replied and left the house.

Sergei took his suit and flung it in anger.

“He’s like a wall… Why can’t i see through him! Michael has to die” he seethed, bursting out of the living room in rage.

Madden went to see Sergei alone, so when his car stopped at the park, he’s the only one who came out.

Coincidentally, Adeline and Loud are on their way to the kitchen for dinner that same time.

Loud bowed respectfully immediately he sighted him, but he’s not even looking their way.

Adeline stopped, but then she resumed her walk after a second.

Madden undid the first three buttons of his black shirt as he started walking towards the Maya’s suite.
