A lady came in, dragging a bag behind herself.

The maids tried to take the bag, but she refused, looking around the house like it’s hers. She doesn’t look like a visitor.

“Ksenia” Aleksandr muttered.

“Mommy’s junior sister?” Angelika asked, and he nodded as the lady walked to them.

She looked at the bullet holes on the wall and then looked back at them, smiling.

“Gun at this age? You’re really Death’s kids” she said, taking turn to stroke their hair.

“Where’s my sister, and father?” She asked.

“They went to the clan” Angelika replied, and she sighed, letting go of her bag finally.

“Shall I visit the clan too?” She smiled knowingly.

SECOND DISTRICT, A GRILL*

Loud took two bottles of vodka from the bartender and payed for them before heading for the back of the grill where a tree is.

Adeline is under the tree, wiping the tears that fell from her eyes every minute and sniffling like a kid.

Loud dropped the two bottles beside her, and she immediately pushed them away, so they crashed on the ground.

“I don’t need vodka, and I want to be alone” she said, not looking up at all.

“You can’t continue being like this cos of Death! He’s not worth your energy. He has no heart so what were you expecting?” He replied.

“You won’t understand” she replied.

“Understand what? The fact that you’re in love with him?” Loud replied, and Adeline spranged up, getting in his face.

“That’s not true!” She snapped in denial.

“Stop denying the obvious, Adeline. Stop! You’re madly in love with Death, period!” He said before he could stop himself, and her puffy eyes widened.

“You…you knew?”

“Yeah… We know” Jinx’s voice replied from behind, and they both turned to see her coming with Malik and Poe.

Adeline was speechless as she wiped the tears again.

“What?”

“Samuel Alonso… That’s my name. Still remember the anonymous boy who wrote you letters everyday in highschool? The class introvert who always sat beside the window?” Loud said, and she quickly faced him.

“Wait … Sam?” She said in raw shock, covering her mouth with her palm.

“Yeah, and not only that… The guy you bought his identity, the real Michael Alonso…is my junior brother” he continued, and Adeline’s shock multiplied.

“Oh no”

“You don’t have to worry though…your secret is safe” Jinx smiled, raising her hand.

“I have a loose mouth but I’d try to keep your secret” Malik raised his hand too.

“Whatever” Poe rolled eyes, turning her back on them.

Adeline still couldn’t believe her ears when Loud hugged her, patting her back.

“It’s better you forget about Death. He’d only ruin you” he said, and she sniffled again, not hugging him back.

“We have orders to bring you back” Jinx said,.

Adeline pulled away from Loud. “I’m not returning to that compound anytime soon” She shook her head

“Sure… take your time and drink” Loud smiled, pulling her back into the grill.

Malik quickly followed them.

“Master said as soon as possible!” Jinx shouted after him.

“I’ll take the blame!” Loud replied.

“He’s playing with his life.” Poe scoffed as they followed them inside too.

After they’ve left, a guy came out from adjacent the grill, wearing a face cap and cover mask.

He removed the mask slowly, displaying his face

It’s Corey.

“I knew Madden was heartless… How dare he hurt her” he muttered, gritting his jaws.

He got a text from Nazeera and immediately disappeared into a corner.
