Igor only looked on with fury, and she dropped her bowl.

“Yunno when I was young… I always wished I had my mother to make me snacks like this, even till now. During my graduation in Italy three years ago, only my father was present, and I couldn’t help but be driven to tears when I saw others with their mothers when mine was absent, cos she’s dead. She died immediately I was born” she said frankly.

“And why are they telling me this crap story?” Igor scoffed, and she brought her hands to his neck, adjusting his polo gently.

“Because… At least we have something in common. I heard you don’t even know your mother” she said, and Igor went silent.

Sin reclined on the couch too, the statement sinking deep into his head.

“Goodnight” Ksenia smiled, letting go of his polo before taking her bowl.

She walked in, and Sin exchanged glances with Igor before tears escaped Igor’s eyes.

“I knew you’d cry, bastard” Sin muttered hurtfully.

“I clearly told you to start the elimination of the top 5 tonight! You think I was thoughtless when I made the order? What the heck is wrong with you! You think Madden is someone you can just sit and relax in a competition with?

He’s crafty as fûck and if we don’t move faster than him, then even your late father’s connections won’t be enough to take back what he’s gonna take from us!” Nazeera yelled at Corey from the screen

Corey is in room 6 with Gianna, they’re both just getting back.

“The election is two weeks away, there’s still much time” Corey calmly said.

“To play around?” Nazeera questioned hotly.

“I wasn’t playing around” Corey replied.

“He tried to kill Death” Gianna said.

“You shut it!” Corey snapped.

“He tried to kill Death because of Adeline! I followed him” Gianna said, and Corey’s bones tensed as he saw Nazeera’s eyes blazing on screen.

“Mother…

“So this is because of the Adeline girl again? Why don’t we make this simple, then you can focus” Nazeera cut him of and pressed a button, alerting every worker in the building.

“Attention, everyone… It’s time to get what you’ve all been craving” she said.

“No…no mother!” Corey shouted.

“I want the post on all Russian underworld news. Post and repost and make sure it spreads before daybreak, that Micheal of the Orlov clan is a female! She deceived The Bratva!” Nazeera ordered, and the screen went off.

Gianna smiled as Corey ran out of the room with wide terrified eyes.

The building got hot with heat cos almost all the systems have gurus working in front of them.

Daybreak is too long, cos he’s sure that in an hour, Adeline’s face will be out for everyone in Russia.

He was sweating as he got his burner phone and dialled Madden’s line…

CLAN, MANOR*

Madden stepped into the thin balcony at the right side of the manor immediately he returned.

There are varieties of roses there, sheltered in flower pots, but they’re all black roses.

He emptied out one of the black roses and replaced it with Adeline’s red rose, then he carried the small pot and head to his office.

He opened the hidden door, and immediately he stepped in and met Adeline coming out of the other room with the red book in hand and tears in her eyes, he knew she read it already.

He set the flower pot on the table, and she came closer.

“So… It was semen donation? You didn’t really sleep with her?” She hiccupped.

“Not my semen, per se” he replied gruffly, and she sniffled, dropping the book.

“What do you mean?”
