Madden was about to talk again when his phone chimed, and when he checked to see a new text from a new line, he scowled.

“I know we’re not in good terms, Death, but you have to protect Adeline at all costs. Her identity will be out for the whole of Russia tomorrow morning, and she might get killed!” Corey said urgently, and her eyes widened in the car.

“Long time no see, Corey” Madden replied like he didn’t hear what Corey just said, and Adeline could see his signature smirk on his face.

She just knew something was about to happen.

“Are you really here for this, or is it rather because you missed your first love?” Madden said, and Adeline saw Corey’s eyes sinking.

“Don’t go there” he muttered.

“Why? Are you scared you’d feel like kissing me again? You gave me your first kiss remember?” Madden said knowingly.

“Shut the fûck!!!” Corey yelled loudly.

“Bixesual Corey. You’re attracted to both males and females” Madden chuckled, and Corey retrieved his gun from his pocket, aiming straight at Madden who went closer till the gun barell was touching his forehead.

“Stop talking about it, it’s my past! I was only attracted to you before I met Ade, not anymore!” Corey spat.

“Attraction? It was more than attraction, motherfûcker!
