The soldiers stopped, and Zoya scoffed.

“What? Are you scared now?” Malik smiled.

“Stop it, Madam” Lady Selesta’s voice sieved into the crowd, and they parted ways for her as she appeared with Angelika beside her.

“Selesta?, and who are you to order around?” Zoya sneered.

“I’m not ordering you, I’m just telling you that you should wait for Death’s arrival, then you can get the passcode from him. No one knows it except him and maybe Micheal” Selesta said.

“That slut” Zoya muttered.

“Angelika and Aleksandr can stay with me at my apartment, and I’ll get a guard to take you to…

“No. I’m staying in front of the manor with my kids till my husband arrives” Zoya cut her off and took Angelika.

“I wanna stay with Selesta” she protested.

“Follow me” Zoya glared, pulling her to where Aleksandr is.

She took his own hand too and began dragging the two towards the manor, so the ruckus died down, and Lady Selesta heaved.

“Your head” Jinx faced Malik.

“I’m fine” he replied.

“C’mon… Death has a nurse at the clinic now so you’d get treated” Jinx pulled him, and he didn’t argue before following her.

“Thanks for showing up” Trixie told Poe.

“It’s nothing” Poe shrugged, and Sin winked at her before leaving with Trixie.

Everyone else began leaving till it’s just Poe and Loud left.

Poe turned to leave…

“You were right” Loud suddenly said, and she turned back to face him.

“About?”

“My jealousy and hatred. I’ll keep it on a low from now on” he said.

“I guess you wanna live long then” she replied freely.

“Booze?” He asked.

“Not a bad idea” she shrugged, and he shrugged too before following her away.

DINNER, 10PM*

Adeline was right about her fantasies cos the interior of the dinner was madly drawn to set the mood.

Ranging from the rich, dark wood paneling, landscaped walls, velvet upholstered armchairs and banquettes in deep red and gold, tables set with elegant white linens, fine china and crystal glassware.

The crystal were chandeliers intricately crafted with Russian metalwork hung from the ceiling.

There are table-side lamps with ornate, bronze-coloured bases and soft, red shades.

Overall, the place is more than a palace, and Madden obviously rented the whole place out cos they’re the only ones present, and they’re at the top most floor, enjoying the view of the supernova in the sky through the glass walls.

Madden made sure the servers prepared both American and Russian menu, but surprisingly, Adeline choose the Russian dishes, and now they’re done with the appetizer of caviar and blini.

The servers changed the table immediately, decking it with the main course and side dishes.

The meals are much, and Adeline almost bit her tongue as she struggled to call the names.

“That’s Beef stroganoff” Madden helped with the name, caressing her fresh legs under the table.

“And this?” She pointed at another dish.

“Chicken Kiev, and the other one is shashlik… The next one is solyanka, then there’s pelmeni” he pointed out, and she bit her lip before chuckling.

“Why is your language so hard?

“You’ll get used to the basics, soon” he replied, holding her left hand that’s on the table. He began rubbing her knuckles.

It’s his unquestionable habit… He likes physical touch too much.

“I hope so” she replied, feeling much heat in her shoes with that one touch.

One of the servers returned with new set of cutleries for them, and she faced Madden after dropping it.

She went down, resting her palms on the table so her chest poured out.

She’s heavy in the front, and her shirt is open in the front too, so everything is out, even her bra.

“I was thinking you might wanna play some classical music, sir” she said radiantly, and Adeline stood.

She left her side of the table and came to his side, pushing the lady away.

She lurched back, and Adeline sat on Madden’s laps, her legs trapped in the middle of his own.
