BACK IN THE FOREST*
Adeline hasn’t stopped running.
She fell for the third time already, and each time she did, she stood to her feet and continued.
Poe is still hot on her heels, chasing like jezebel and enjoying it everytime Adeline fell.
It’s like the forest got wider tonight cos Adeline couldn’t even find the entrance to the compound.
She kept going around in circles, breathing heavily as the chase got hotter.
She fell for the fourth time, and she spranged to her feet again, but this time, she didn’t resume running.
She turned back and faced Poe slowly.
“What exactly do you want from me? I’d have seen it as jealousy if I were a woman, but I’m a man so why the fûck are you on my neck all because I’m closer to Death? I never did anything to you and I’m starting to regret the fact that I liked you at first sight.
You might be Jinx’s bestie, but trust me that girl is a lot more precious than you. You’re worse, Poe” she said breathlessly, sweat making a sheen on her face.
The blood on her back spread already, wetting the shirt she’s putting on again.
“Thanks for recognizing my talent early. Yes I’m wicked, but my wickedness only applies to people like you. Because you’re a fast learner, you want us to go die?
You learnt the use of guns within two nights, so what? Death keeps you close, so what? No matter how much you try, you can never take the place of Jinx and I beside master, let that sink in!” Poe yelled.
“I didn’t tell master to keep me close. He did it on his own!” Adeline replied.
“Lair! You knowingly gummed around him and I think you’re the gay here. Listen, if you have any feelings for him, better trash it, and as for the wound on his arm, you’ll pay for it. I’ll make you pay motherfûcker!” Poe gritted before coming for her again.
Adeline decided not to run.

‘I’m not to be trusted, Adeline. I’ll ruin you’
He allowed the weed to fall down from his lips, and immediately the roll hit the ground, he drove his fist into Corey’s statue, shattering it to pieces with his punch.
The clay pieces flew across the room, hitting every available surface.
He closed his eyes, letting out hot breaths from his nostrils as his chest rose and fell harshly.
‘I ruin everything I touch, and that’s why no one chooses me. No one ever choses me’
He opened his eyes and released a exaggerated breath, checking out his knuckles which got bursted and is currently bleeding cos of the punch.
He looked at his shot arm which is still untreated, and he returned to the bedroom where Adeline is still sleeping peacefully in bed.
She has changed her sleeping position, and her chest bandage is currently open, revealing a large part of her breasts.
He stayed beside the bed, the red light making his shadow mysterious as his eyes followed the swell of her breasts.
He stared at it for over a minute too long before pulling the duvet to cover her, then he left the bedside and started looking for something.
He found it shortly and left the room, going back to the workroom.
He took his seat and opened what he took in the room.
It’s the balm container… The one Adeline brought the other time.
He started applying it on his knuckle, staring at Corey’s broken image as he did.
He has to remould that before daybreak.
Otherwise, someone won’t like it.

CLAN KITCHEN*
Almost every of the mobster ate dinner already, and as they returned the plates to the kitchen, Lady Selesta washed in the zinc bowl.
It’s a lot of work, but it’s like she was born for this.
She’s used to it.
Angelika sat on the kitchen island, playing with her bunch of sunflowers while humming a song.
Lady Selesta looked back at her and smiled.
“Do you want candy?” She asked.
“Yes!!” Angelika squealed.
“And here it is!” Jinx came into the kitchen with Poe.
