Jeffrey suddenly pushed her off as if regaining his senses and Valerie staggered to her feet.

“I’m sorry… I’m so sorry.” She immediately apologized and Jeffrey shook his head rushing out with the laptop.

Valerie sighed tiredly, sitting on the bed. “What have you done Madi?” She asked herself.

NEXT MORNING

Valerie paced about in the living room, looking upstairs at Jeffrey’s room precisely at every interval.

Whenever she looked at it, she looked away and continue walking, tapping her phone on her palm.

She looked up again and her eyes brightened the moment she saw the door opened and Jeffrey walked out of it.

She immediately placed her phone on her ear and cleared her throat.

“Oh c’mon mom. Don’t say that. I miss you as well. I’m just very busy, I can’t come to Switzerland now.” She said in a surprising Swiss accent.

An accent no one would ever thought she had.

“Yes mom.” She said, stylishly looking at the stairs to see Jeffrey descending it.

“I know you miss me mom, I miss you as well but I can’t come now. I wish I could ask you to come but right now I’m having issues with my accommodation.

I promise to come visit you month end so you don’t have to worry about me okay?” She said with a broad smile.

Jeffrey stood at last step, looking at her.

“Okay mom, I’ll talk to you later. I have to go now. Bye. Love you.” She blew ksses before ending the call.

She smiled when she turned to see Jeffrey standing there, looking at her.

“Oh, you’re here.” She said in her original accent.

“Well, actually. That’s my mom. She really missed me, so she called.” She said and Jeffrey nodded.

“So you’re a Swiss?” He said, more like he was asking and she nodded.

“Yeah.” She replied.

“Wow.” He muttered and she smiled.

“Your mom misses you isn’t it?” He asked and she nodded with a smile.

“Then invite her over.” He said and Valerie’s eyes widened, all the smiles in her disappeared the same way it came.

“Wha-at did you say?” She asked slowly, trying not to stutter.

“Well, this house is big enough to occupy a lot of people and I have no issue with your mom coming over. I’m sure Evie wouldn’t so invite her here.

Also, I really wanna see the mother of this famous model.” He said, the sarcasm in his voice could be noted.

Valerie’s eyes widened. This wasn’t what she planned would happen. Plan gone wrong!

“Calm down Madi, keep your cool. Take a deep breath.” Derek said to Valerie. She was doing FaceTime with him.

Valerie inhaled and exhaled before looking at him.

“Deep breath.” He said when she made to utter a word.

“So what did you say happen again?” He asked and Valerie began narrating everything to him.

“Trust me dad, I thought that would clear off all his suspicion but I was wrong. Now he wants to see my mom.

Where on earth will I get a Swiss who will act as mum within this short period of time?” She questioned rhetorically.

“I just knew he was very smart. Good thing I found someone to play the role.” Derek said with a smile and her her eyes gleamed.

“Really?? So quick?” She asked and Derek nodded.

“Thanks alot dad. I love you.” She said.

“I love you too Madi. Now, you just have to go to the airport to pick her up.

Her flight is landing by 2pm. I’ll send every details about her that you need to know.” He said to her and she nodded.
