“Is there more wood for me? Bring them out” Twilight said, boldly.
Lorraine’s eyes still didn’t blink. She kept up the death stare, and the atmosphere turned icy.
Tamlin was too stunned to utter a word, he’s still holding Imogen’s hand
Imogen herself looks just as speechless as Tamlin.
In the several years of this school’s establishment, no student dared come close to Lorraine’s face and talk.
Twilight just broke the record.
“I’m starting to think she’s really a witch” Rihannon said with a small smile.
“Me too” Echo added.
“A hot one” Damien smiled, pocketing his hands
“No more wood? Or are you just speechless? Huh?” Twilight said again.
Her palms are still rested on the chair arms, and she’s still staring down Lorraine who looks dumbstruck.
“I guess it’s the two” Twilight said with a victorious smirk and stood straight, but that was it.
She lost all the energy in her bones immediately, and she went down straight.
Tamlin quickly let go of Imogen and caught her in his arms.
Her hair was sticking to her face so much as a result of the rainwater, and that alone made her look like a goddess.
Her beauty stuck him and made him stare at her unconscious face for longer than he planned.
He was still staring when Damien came closer with Rihannon and Echo.
“Hand her over, I’ll take her” Damien told him.
“Fûck off” Tamlin glared at him and adjusted Twilight in his arms before starting to take her away.
Damien made to pull him back, but Ruslan blocked him.
“I wouldn’t” he said in a warning tone, his eyes slanted.
“How long are you gonna play as Tamlin’s watchdog? He doesn’t see you as a friend are you blind? You’re literally his lackey!” Damien blurted.
“You fuçking skunk!” Ruslan stepped closer to attack Damien, but Rihannon covered Damien very fast.
Ruslan immediately backed off. He eventually followed Tamlin.
Till he was out of sight, Echo wouldn’t stop staring at his back view, and Imogen saw it.
She smiled knowingly before going to Lorraine who’s still seated under her umbrella like she’s paralyzed.
“Let’s go, mother” she held her arm, and Lorraine stood.
The rain stopped already, so the guards folded the umbrella.
Lorraine left silently with Imogen, and Rihannon sighed, facing Damien.
The other students are starting to disperse too.
“You shouldn’t have said that to Ruslan” Rihannon said.
“Well he was being an @ss. He supports Tamlin too much. I get that they’re childhood fiends but he’s overdoing it, and who knows where that angry bird Tamlin is taking Twilight to?” Damien replied.
“She’ll be fine. Tamlin seems to have a soft spot for her so he won’t hurt her” Rihannon sighed.
“Soft spot? Tamlin? I’ll classify that under future impossible tense” Damien scoffed, walking away.
“Will he come around?” Echo asked.
“Yeah. He only needs some alone time and he’ll come back” Rihannon shrugged.
“Well then…let’s go look for Twi” Echo smiled, and Rihannon pulled her away.
