TWILIGHT’S ROOM*
“What! Your parents aren’t your real parents?” Rihannon said in shock.
Twilight just finished telling them the story, but she didn’t include the part where she’s a moonslave who has to die for Slade though.
“And your so-called father chased you out?” Echo said shockingly too.
“Said he was tired of taking care of me, a stranger” Twilight replied.
She’s sitting in bed while the three are standing in front of her.
“I knew I didn’t like him when I saw him at Dr. Kali’s burial.” Damien shook his head.
“This is not a time when you should lose your parents support. Fine, we don’t pay for tuition and food here, but what about your personal expenses? You’re a girl” Rihannon said.
“Maybe you should go to Prof Luther and tell him” Damien suggested.
“No” Twilight shook her head.
“Why? He fûcks you. He should spend on you” Echo chirped.
“Don’t say it like that” Rihannon pushed her, and Echo fell on the bed.
“Don’t attack me, it’s true” Echo spranged up again.
“One more word, and I’ll slap you” Damien glared, and she scoffed.
“I told him he shouldn’t have shot Tamlin, and he took it personal. He probably hates me madly right now” Twilight said.
“Are you for real? Tamlin almost shot him. How could you say he shouldn’t have shot back” Rihannon said.
“Even if Tamlin shot him, he wouldn’t have died so far he’s with his ring. I just thought destroying Tamlin legs was too much”
“So Tamlin shooting him is ok so far he’s with his ring? Do you think he doesn’t feel pains too? C’mon…” Damien said, sitting beside her.
“And do you even know the history between him and Tamlin at the Arcade Home?” Rihannon said, sitting beside her too.
“I and Damien are from the orphanage too, though Isobel has died and Slade has left before we started living there, but we heard histories. Tamlin bullied Slade a lot for no reason” Damien said.
“Lies. With his ring, he’d probably break Tamlin into two before Tamlin would do the bullying” Echo said.
“Slade’s head is wired differently, idiot. He likes the pains, which is why he never fought back. He allowed the bullying” Rihannon rolled eyes.
“Makes sense” Echo nodded.
“So…, anything concerning Tamlin and Slade, next time just don’t intervene” Damien patted Twilight’s shoulder.
Twilight couldn’t talk, but she could feel the callous hands of cold on her skin as chilly goosebumps filled it.
“You’re shivering” Damien noticed.
“I’ll get her sweater” Echo replied, going to Twilight’s bag to get one.
It’s the one Uriel returned to her that night at Grandpa Cedric’s estate. Slade’s sweater.
She put it on since it’s the only good one she has, and the moment her nose caught a whiff of Slade’s musky scent, she shivered even more.
Rihannon made her lay in bed, and Damien covered her with the blanket.
“I’ll take care of her, don’t worry and return to your rooms” Echo said.
“I don’t trust you” Damien said.
“Me neither” Rihannon added.
“Your choices” Echo shrugged, climbing her own bed.
“Stay good till daybreak, Twi-Twi” Rihannon said.
“Rest well” Damien said.
Twilight managed to nod twice under the covers, and the two left the room.
Echo smiled in her bed.
This for her or good. At least, she’d be able to snap her pictures tomorrow.
