“Did you forget a part of me that hates listening to people? Stop wasting your time, Aimee. And who’s falling for who?” Slade replied stonily and walked out.

“I support him, which is why I’m trying my best to sniff the rival out. And do you all seriously still trust Greg? Geez!” Elijah said.

“Shut up, Elijah” Timothy said.

“Of course, which is why I’m taking my leave now, after my brother” Elijah replied dramatically, leaving after Slade.

He was giving grandpa Cedric the evil eye till he was out the door.

Aimee began wiping the blood on her face.

“You ok?” Timothy asked.

She didn’t reply before leaving too.

“This is only just the start” Cedric said.

“Did I bring the slave to that school for nothing?” Timothy said frustratedly.

“What do you mean?” Cedric faced him.

“The admission letter she received, I sent it, using dead Jenna Parker’s name to make it look ominous” Timothy said.

“Let’s just wait, and call someone to repair these pillars.” Grandpa Cedric said.

“Elijah is not the rival? Then who?” He further said.

“At this point, I just wanna die” Timothy said hopelessly.

CAVERN, KONTROL OFFICE*

“So it’s set! We’re raiding the school again tomorrow. Get your asses ready” the leader of staffs announced, staying in the middle so they’ll all hear him.

Every staff member came out of their segment, surrounding him.

“Why do I feel like it’s gonna be different this time?” One of them said.

“Of course it is. Our target is twenty students at once this time” The leader said.

“Did K say that?” Another one asked.

“Obviously” the leader said.

“I wish I could meet K face-to-face. He’s undoubtedly the richest man in the world. We made trillions from Kontrol already, and it’s only just the start” another one said.

“The one I’m eager to meet is our spy. How can the spy be the midnight killer and also Slade’s rival. Three in one. I bet they don’t know it’s just one person tormenting them in that school.” The leader said, grinning under his mask.

ST. GREGORY HOSPITAL, 5PM*

“Mom, can’t we leave already? We’ve been here since daybreak and Tamlin still won’t see us” Imogen complained.

“Ten more minutes, and we’ll take our leave” Lorraine replied, her eyes calm.

“Better” Imogen replied.

Lord Vann came out of the ward immediately.

“You should leave, he’s not interested” he said.

Lorraine stood and forced the door open, pushing Vann away.

She went in to meet Tamlin on his wheelchair already.

Ruslan is beside him, trying to make him eat some oatmeal, but Tamlin took the plate and threw it away.

“I said I’m not hungry” he muttered.

“Are you trying to kill yourself?” Lorraine said, dropping her bag.

“It’s nothing to you, is it? You’re not my mother and you’re starting to act like it. The painful part is that Imogen is taking after you” Tamlin replied.

“Is this how it’s gonna be now?” Lorraine scoffed.

“I respected you, but you took it for granted. I’d like you to leave me alone” Tamlin replied.

“Fine” Lorraine took her bag and faced Lord Vann.

“For your information, I’m making an announcement at 6. I’ll be sweeping away some debris” she smiled, leaving the ward

“Get well soon, brother!” Imogen said and ran after her.

“Twilight won’t visit?” Tamlin said, tears rolling out of his eye.

“Stop obsessing over her” Ruslan replied.

Tamlin smirked, wiping his tears with intentional strokes.

“Get me discharged tomorrow” he said.

Lord Vann nodded.

“I’ll be right back” he said and exited.
