HER HEARTLESS MONSTER : CHAPTER 151 – 160

Slade’s eyes rolled away from him, then he looked at the sleeping opponent on the ground.

“Take him to the hut. Lock him in the wall or something for questioning” he said.

“I like that” Elijah smiled, mounting the guy on his shoulder.

He took him away, and Aimee was about to follow him when she saw Slade’s back.

It’s bleeding!

The gunshot wound from the other time didn’t heal.

“This is bad” she muttered, checking it out.

“It’s only a scratch” Slade replied, moving away.

“The healing ability of your ring is starting to fade off, and it’s because you’re refusing to kill…

“Go back home, Aimee. Your voice gives me the irk” he cut her off harshly, leaving too.

Aimee watched him till he was out of sight, then she did her eye thing before following Elijah.

BACK IN THE CASTLE*

Daylight returned immediately Slade came back, and students began rushing out of the classes like survivors.

Slade entered the class and met Twilight still waiting.

She’s sitting, staring at her phone screen and watching the time.

“Kils!” She spranged up the moment she saw him.

She ran to hug him, and this time, he hugged her back, making her smile before tightening it so bad.

“I was getting scared. The time was moving too fast” she said.

“Scared I wouldn’t make it?” He said, and she broke the hug.

“No. I trusted that you’d come back, but I was still scared alone here.” She said, and he brought his face closer, resting his forehead on hers.

“Are you ok?” She asked, frowning when her fingers felt wey behind him.

She brought it forward, and she gasped when she saw blood. His blood.

“Oh gawd” her heart skipped.

“You’re not… healing?” She swallowed.

Slade took her hand, pulling her out of the class.

ARGENTUM HOSPITAL*

The nurses were still chatting endlessly about the sudden midnight that happened an hour ago.

Their voices were echoing on the walls as they walked out of Owen’s ward after giving her morning care.

“But this Owen woman, is she ever going to leave the hospital?” one of them said.

“She was getting better some days back, but then she snapped again. I’m tired too” the second one replied as their disappeared down the corner.

Two minutes after they left, the hoodie and cap guy appeared down the hall.

He entered Owen’s ward, and the woman looked at him emptily.

She opened her mouth to mumble something, but he placed a finger on his lips to shush her.

“I’m here to help, and you have to cooperate if you want out of your husband’s wickedness. Can you walk?” He asked.

Owen nodded slowly.

“Good” he said, making her sit up.

He took his time to change her hospital gown to a dull brown dress.

He held her arm, taking her out of the ward as gently as possible.

He led her to a restroom where he removed the windows skillfully.

He jumped out first before helping Owen out too.

The woman already passed out before she could get out, so he carried her in his arms, running out of the hospital.

He placed her in his car in front of the gate, driving roughly away.

As if planned, Greg drove in almost immediately, and he entered the hospital as confidently as usual.

When he got to the ward, it was restless cos the nurses were already searching for Owen.

“Where is my wife?” He asked calmly.

“We only just gave her the morning care and left her as usual, but then we came back with sedatives and couldn’t find her” the nurses explained.

“The restroom window in hall 2 is broken!” Another nurse announced, rushing in.

“There’s a camera in the ward, isn’t it?” Greg asked.

“Yes!” The nurses chorused, and he was led to the surveillance room where the operator showed him the footage of the room from ten minutes ago.

When the face of the hoodie guy came to view, he recognized him despite his face cap, and he grinned in all shades of wickedness.

“I should have known” he said.
