HER HEARTLESS MONSTER : CHAPTER 31 – 40
The rain went from light drops to heavy within minutes, then the rain became torrential, but she didn’t make any attempt to move.
Imogen and her gang are watching from a distance behind another tree, just that that tree is fuller than the one Echo is standing under, so the rain isn’t wetting them that much.
Imogen has a roll of pot between her plump lips which she’s smoking while Posey and Ren stood behind her, all watching Echo’s pitiful self.
“Will she really stay till daybreak?” Posey asked.
“She’s so into Ruslan, so trust me if he told her to walk into abyss, that bîtch won’t think twice” Ren replied, and Posey laughed.
“This is so entertaining” Imogen grinned, blowing smokes out of her mouth.
The rain didn’t show any sign that it’d stop anytime soon, so Echo finally decided to leave her spot.
There’s a small hut not far from the river, so she ran all the way there and entered.
It’s almost down, but she doesn’t care. She texted Ruslan again.
Echo: I’m in the hut, and can you bring a sweater while coming? I’m cold as fûck.
She turned on the torchlight of her phone, and she sat on the bare ground of the hut.
Immediately her butt touched the ground, the first thing she saw in front of herself was a serpent.
A snake, crawling down the wall.
A sonorous scream tore out of her throat as she stood and ran to the door, but it has already been locked outside by Imogen and her minions.
“Why is the door not opening? Someone help!!!” She screamed, but it wasn’t enough to bring down the door.
Her screams came to a stop when she felt the sting on her right leg.
The snake definitely bit her.
“Shit!! No!!!”

ATTIC*
Slade is standing beside his window with a cup of cold coffee diluted with tequila in his right hand which he’s taking occasional sips from.
His mind was wandering around darkness till it went back to some hours ago when he visited Twilight’s room, and the fearful look on her face when she saw him.
The imperial feeling he experienced when he touched her lower lip, and the intensified fear plus hatred in her eyes when he was moving his hand down her throat to her chest.
He felt her heartbeats under his palm back then, and that made him wonder just how much of a bîtch that organ is.
Having a heart is a weakness on its own cos it reveals when you’re scared, anxious or guilty.
The only job of a heart is revealing useless feelings that humans aren’t supposed to have in the first place.
He touched his chest, and when he couldn’t feel any heartbeat as usual, he smirked, drinking from his mug again.
“Mm” he growled with a nod, then Echo’s screams from the woods entered his ear.
“SOMEONE HELP!!!”
He stopped drinking for a beat, then his brows went furrowed before he drank again.
“SOMEONE HELP!!” Echo’s screams came again, and he shut his eyes, enjoying the pains in her screams.
