HER HEARTLESS MONSTER : CHAPTER 31 – 40
FIRST YEAR PSYCHOLOGY DEPARTMENT*
“Pick up, pick up” Twilight was still chanting the lines as she walked into the building with her phone glued to her ear.
She’s still trying Echo’s line, but she’s still not picking, and she’s starting to get scared.
Damien and Rihannon are in their second year so their lecture hall is far from here, she’d have asked them for pointers.
Echo can’t just disappear like this.
Her phone was still glued to her ear as she walked into the lecture hall, and she bumped into Imogen.
“I could slap you right now, and no one will arrest me for it” Imogen glared, crossing her arms.
Twilight ignored her and resumed her walk.
“Are you looking for your dear little friend?” Imogen’s voice came behind her, and she turned swiftly.
“How did you….” She muttered, and Imogen smiled evilly, arms still crossed.
“What did you do to Echo!” Twilight went closer and tried grabbing her by the collar, but Posey and Ren appeared, blocking Imogen from her.
“Wag your tail and run along. Go report to Tamlin, but yunno what? He won’t be able to have a say this time” Imogen grinned.
“Where is Echo?” Twilight repeated, her glare almost blinding them.
“C’mon try harder…that glare don’t scare a puppy” Posey sneered, and Ren cackled.
Twilight would have slapped her for that, but the entrance of Slade stopped her.
All the talkings and small chats stopped as everyone began shuffling, returning to their seats in a rush.
Imogen and her minions left Twilight to return to their seats too, but Twilight remained standing there, wondering what’s really going on
Echo is definitely in danger, but she won’t be able to get anything out of Imogen unless this class wraps up.
Slade dropped his suitcase and brought out his laptop on his table, but then his eyes found Twilight who’s still standing.
She remembered his assault last night, and she glared openly at him before finding herself a seat at the back of the class since every seat in the front is occupied.
“He’s gorgeous” Imogen gushed shamelessly as she played with her jotter.
Slade hasn’t said a word when he wrote TRAGEDY in board.
“Anything about the word?” He faced the class.
“Death!” Imogen stood quickly.
“Cool, anything else?” Slade’s eyes roamed the class and landed on Twilight who’s currently dialling Echo’s line again.
“Miss Kent?” His dulcet voice threw the class in complete silence, and Twilight looked up at the mention of her name.
“Huh?” She said from her seat.
“Stand the fûck up” Imogen said, and Twilight slowly rose to her feet.
Twilight looked at the subject on the board, and she caught on immediately, but just when she was about to start talking, Tamlin and Ruslan entered the class.
Ruslan went straight to Imogen’s seat.
“My phone” he whispered to her.
“I’m not returning it yet” she whispered back.
As for Tamlin, he went to Twilight, and the class paused.
“You might wanna step out of the class right now, you both” Slade said icily from the front of the class.
Ruslan gave Imogen one last look before exiting the class, but Tamlin refused to move away from Twilight who’s looking at him questioningly.
“I can’t stop thinking about doing this, and even if you don’t forgive me, I won’t regret it” Tamlin said, and she blinked.
“Isobel” he whispered, pulling her closer by her two arms.
Slow tears escaped his eyes as he leaned in, and Twilight’s eyes widened, knowingly it’s definitely a kiss.
Is Tamlin the guy in her dreams then?
Is he?
She lost sense of time completely, and she began closing her eyes, gently.
All attention zeroed in on them, but before it could happen, Slade snapped his fingers from the front of the class.
Time stopped automatically, and everyone in the class paused, staying still.
Slade walked down the class with gritted jaws, going straight to the spot .
He pulled Twilight away and pulled Imogen into her place, then he snapped his fingers again.
Time resumed running, and Tamlin kissed Imogen, lips on lips!
