“Another student just went missing, and this time, it happened on the school grounds, psychology department” Lord Vann broke the news, and the sponsors began murmuring among themselves.
“Are we sure it’s not Slade doing this too? I mean he’s the same person who kills students at 12 midnight” one of them said.
“Exactly. Why are we pestering ourselves? It’s so obvious” another one said.
“The midnight killer and the monthly kidnapper are two different people, I believe” Lord Vann said.
“How can you be so sure? Slade has no heartbeat at all so wasting lives is probably his way of fighting his boredom. That guy is an animal” another one replied.
That same moment, Slade bursted the door open, entering the hall with a printed copy of the investigation made by Uriel.
He dropped the papers on Lord Vann’s hands, and silence filled the hall.
“Research made it clear that the monthly kidnap has to do with the popular elixir called Kontrol. Whoever the kidnapper is is surely doing a project with the kidnapped students.” Slade said plainly.
“Why are you giving us this?” Lord Vann asked.
“I’d have enjoyed it if y’all start seeing me as the kidnapper too. Trust me there’s nothing more interesting than always being the bad guy, but I’m doing this for an idiot” Slade replied, his mind going to Uriel.
“Fûck… I might just fuçking die by doing this. Helping people is foolish” he muttered as he walked out of the hall.
Lord Vann stared at the papers for a while before facing the sponsors.
“Shall we start the investigation?” He said.

Tamlin and Ruslan came out of their second class with the other students, and Tamlin couldn’t stop the smile that covered his face.
“What’s up? You couldn’t even concentrate in class” Ruslan said suspiciously.
Tamlin brought a small square box out of his pocket, and Ruslan frowned, recognizing it immediately.
“This belonged to Isobel” he said.
Tamlin opened it, and truly, it houses a beautiful necklace with an heart-shaped pendant.
“You gave this to Isobel when she was still alive, and I remember seeing it around her neck even after she died” Ruslan said.
“I removed it before she was buried” Tamlin replied.
“Wait. You’re gonna give it to Twilight? Are you crazy? Twilight is not Isobel” Ruslan said.
“Chill, Isobel is my last and Twilight the present. This is to mark her cos once it’s on her neck, she’s mine” Tamlin winked, and Ruslan scoffed.
“You’re crazy”
“Tamlin!” Posey and Ren appeared, running like crazy and almost bumping into them.
“Stay back!” Tamlin pushed the two of them and wiped his hands with an hanky.
“Imogen… Imogen is unconscious” Posey said breathlessly.
“What! I locked her up!” Tamlin glared.
“The thing is…” Ren said, looking at Ruslan.
Tamlin looked at Ruslan, and Ruslan shifted back.
“You fuçking idiot!” Tamlin snarled and ran all the way to the infirmary.
Truly, Imogen is in bed, unconscious.
Dr. Kali is there with her, but she’s not doing anything.
“Why aren’t you waking her!” Tamlin faced Kali.
“There’s nothing I can do. Slade seized her consciousness, and he’s the only one who can wake her” Dr. Kali replied.
“Slade?” Tamlin seethed.
“He pushed Lady Lorraine earlier in class too, and she got hurt” Posey said slowly, and Tamlin held his own head, turning around.
He suddenly lunged at Ruslan and threw a kick at his face.
Ruslan staggered and fell on a chair with a cut on his cheek.
“This wouldn’t have happened if you didn’t idiotically let her out you moron!” Tamlin yelled.
“I did what was right. It’s not right to lock her up like a slave” Ruslan replied, standing up.
“Then wake her, wake her!” Tamlin pushed him, and he fell on Imogen’s unconscious body.
“Wake her idiot!” Tamlin yelled again.
“Calm down. She’ll wake up whenever Slade wants, she’s not dead” Dr. Kali assured.
