8AM, GARDEN*

Twilight woke up to Tamlin’s eyes on herself, and she quickly sat up on the bench.

“When did you get here?” She asked.

“Daybreak, and why did you spend the night here?” He replied.

“Molly and her gang were ready to murder me at the tower last night, and you didn’t come back” she said.

“I’m sorry, mother was being a bîtch. She’s behind the fake posts” he apologized.

“It’s ok, not your fault” she said.

“Come with me, I’ll escort you to your tower” he offered his hand, and she took it.

They left the garden together, and surprisingly, students are all-over the castle, wearing their sports uniform.

It’s a black-coloured shirt and shorts for boys, then short pleated skirt for girls.

“It’s the sports day. First Saturday of every month” he explained

“Oh…” She replied, holding his hand tighter.

Students kept looking at her, but thanks to Tamlin’s presence, they couldn’t talk.

Twilight was already counting the remaining seconds to get to the tower when Imogen showed up.

She opened her hand, revealing sand which she poured on Tamlin’s face.

Some of the sand entered his eyes, so he couldn’t open.

“Damn it! Imo!” He yelled with closed eyes.

“Tamlin” Twilight held him steady.

“Mother said you both killed him, so await my payback cos I’m killing you both” Imogen spat, crying for real.

Tamlin couldn’t speak as he’s still struggling with his eyes.

“Fûck you two!!” Imogen yelled and left like the wind.

“Tamlin are you ok?” Twilight asked, and he bent to her height, so she peered his eyes and blew away the stones.

“Yeah I’m fine now” he replied afterwards, taking her hand again and leading her to the tower.

Most students are already at the field, so the tower is not very full.

They met Molly and her gang on top of the stairs, but Molly stepped aside immediately she saw Tamlin.

They finally got to her room where Echo, Rihannon and Damien are already waiting.

“Thanks for bringing her” Rihannon said.

“Are you ok?” Echo asked, checking Twilight out.

“Yeah…I’m fine” Twilight nodded.

“Is Slade really dead?” Damien asked.

“Yes” Tamlin said.

“No” Twilight said.

“What do you mean?” Tamlin faced her.

“He came to the garden last night.” Twilight replied, and the shock that appeared on Tamlin’s face afterwards was priceless.

Without another word, he rushed out of the room.

“He didn’t hurt you, right?” Echo asked.

“No…at all” Twilight lied.

“Bold of Tamlin to really think he can kill a monster” Damien scoffed.

“You should go dress up, let’s go to the field” Rihannon said, handing Twilight her wrapped sports uniform.

“I don’t want to go” Twilight replied.

“Babe you’ll go. It’s a course on it’s own, so not showing up means you’ll have to redo it alone, go dress up” Echo said.

Reluctantly, Twilight had her bath and dressed up, leaving the tower with them.
