Slade dropped the camera, and his eyes darted to the broken bed.
He got his phone and dialled Uriel’s line.
“Good morning” Uriel picked with greetings.
“Get me a new bed, wider than the former one, and a new bedframe” he said.
“Why?”
“And what’s gonna happen after I tell you why?” Slade replied, staring at the hairband on his wrist.
“I’m sorry, I’ll get them before the end of today, but have you heard what’s going on in the castle?” Uriel asked.
“Anything?”
“Dr. Kali, she has been missing from the infirmary since last night” Uriel reported.
“The kidnappers?” Slade’s brows pulled impossibly close.
“I don’t think so. Her phone is still on, and the school management is currently tracking it.” Uriel replied.
Slade hung up, his back muscles flexing as he turned back to the window.

Twilight peeped elevator, making sure the students are not looking at that direction before sneaking out.
She hid behind the stairs, thinking of how to come out without gaining suspicions with the shirt she’s wearing.
“I’m here for you” someone suddenly said behind her, and she jumped, turning around to see Molly.
She’s holding a folded black skirt and a hoodie.
“Here, put them on, and don’t ask questions… I saw you entering the elevator last night, and I decided to prepare this for you” she said.
“Do you even sleep? Why are you always up at night?” Twilight replied suspiciously.
“I don’t sleep… I have a sickness actually, and sleeping at night has been hard for me since I was fifteen” Molly explained.
“And why are you suddenly acting kind? You’re the same girl who slandered me on the homepage last week” Twilight tilted her head.
“Don’t get it twisted. I’m only doing this to get on Slade’s good side since that’s what my parents want. Tell Slade I helped you, ok?” Molly winked and left.
Twilight stared at the clothes shortly before finally putting them on.
She held Slade’s shirt in hand as she climbed the stairs, avoiding eyes till she got to her room and slammed the door shut.
“You’ve gone to hookup again, how foolish” Echo’s voice instantly came from her bed.
“Echo” Twilight swallowed, sighting her.
“I saw how you sneaked out last night, you spent the night with him again? Is that how much you can’t control yourself?” Echo said.
“Don’t talk to me like that if you don’t know the details” Twilight replied, walking to her.
“I’m your bestie, if I don’t talk to you, who’d do it? You’re being foolish and I’m already feeling sorry for you. What if you get pregnant? Your parents are so poor that you can’t even afford more than three bras, and…
Twilight already slapped Echo before she could finish, and Echo gasped shockingly.
“If you’re gonna talk about me sleeping with Prof. Slade, then do that, don’t mention my parents. Yes we’re poor, and I only have three bras, I’m guessing you counted my panties too” Twilight said.
Echo raised her hand to return the slap, but that was when Rihannon and Damien came in.
“Nah…that’s not advisable cos I’ll outright slap you back” Damien said.
Echo dropped her hand and grabbed her shoulder bag, then she stormed out of the room.
“I don’t like her” Rihannon said.
“I slapped her first” Twilight explained.
“So what? I’m sure she said something to deserve that” Damien replied, and Twilight smiled.
“C’mon, dress up and let’s go outside. The castle is hot right now” Rihannon said.
“Why?” Twilight frowned.
“Dr. Kali is missing” Damien broke the news, and her eyes widened.
“What!”
