‘I shouldn’t have used you as bait’. He whispered in a hush tone as he stared affectionately at Jade, and then he ignored the Queen Mother as he began walking into the palace gates, Kai following him closely from behind, but he soon stopped on his track and turned to look at the tensed Queen Mother.
“You have only tonight to hand your son over, otherwise you’ll suffer for both of you”. The Emperor’s deep voice came, bold but scary enough to send shivers into the Queen Mother’s system as she broke down to the ground the moment the Emperor finally left.
“He knew? Al-all this while he played the fool?!”. The Queen Mother said eyes widened as she spoke, with her hands shivering and shaking from time to time.
Then she felt a presence behind her and stood up immediately in anger, walking towards the figure, covered completely in a dark garment she landed him a huge slap on his masked face.
“You good for nothing!!! It’s no wonder your father chose that son of a mistress over you!!!”. The Queen Mother growled loudly and every guard and people around outside the palace walls turned to face them.
Danxu’s fist balled in rage as he glared back at his mother.
“Let’s find somewhere secluded to continue mother–
“No!! Let whoever wants to hear! Hear us!! I have no reason to hide my son!! I’m the Queen mother of this kingdom!!
The only one that deserves to be hidden is the dirty born ruling us right now!! He stole your birth right, it’s only great if i scream out my pains right in front of eveeyone!!”.
The Queen Mother continued before turning to the crowd that just formed around both she and her son, smiling at each and everyone then she moved to an elderly looking lady.
“Do you know, the Emperor was birthed by a mistress? Evie that’s her name! The witch who almost took the late Emperor from me thousands of years back!
The same one you all choose and loved multiple times over me! But you all seems to have forgotten the royal curse!! The great Yongxi curse that made me the Queen today and not that blasted princess from god knows where! The Emperor isn’t my—
“You think after saying all this you’ll still be allowed into the palace?!”. Danxu yelled from behind and the Queen mother smiled walking to him.
“You think I need anyone’s permission to go in? It’s my late husband’s palace, no lowly–
“So you’ll ruin all our hard work just like that by shouting out unnecessary words to this people–
Danxu wasn’t done speaking when the Queen Mother slapped him hard again, and he threw her a sharp glare while everyone around gasped.
“You should be more pained than me! You must be!! Though you don’t have the sane body figure as the Emperor but ypu have his face don’t you?! Why?!– Why then did your father choose him over you even when i went as far as changing your whole face—
“Mother!!!”. Danxu shouted in full rage as he stepped closer to her.
“I’ll finish what we started. So don’t ever try to contact me again, you’re as useless as father saw you to”. Danxu muttered anger following his every word as he instantly disappeared, and the Queen Mother broke into an hysterical laughter, then everyone began mumbling loudly.

👥 Even after her death, the Queen Mother won’t still let Lady Evie be!

👥 I’m guessing the person who just disappeared was Prince Danxu, that tyrant!
Everyone spat rudely at the Queen Mother who only smirked at them before walking into the palace, and the guards stared after her shaking their heads in disgust.
“Are we supposed to have let her in?”. One of the guards asked the others.
“You heard the Emperor earlier, she has only tonight to do the right thing, then we’ll leave tomorrow for the dramas”. The other guards replied.
