“Your grace. Your grace”. A voiced called and slowly Jade began opening her eyes on the the bed she laid, only to see Kai staring worriedly at her, he looked completely different in the robe he wore. Jade was sure it was the acceptance robe, cause it looked the same as the minister’s uniform.
“Your grace. Are you alright?”. Kai asked slowly and Jade sat up slowly still wondering what happened.
“Thank goodness you’re alright”. Kai heaved a sigh of relief as he sat right in front of her.
“You’ve been asleep for hours now”. Kai said and Jade only blinked in puzzlement as she took her gaze to his clothes and he sighed.
“The acceptance ceremony already began, and the servants did a lot in assembling everyone into the main court where the announcement of respective positions will be made”. Kai said and Jade nodded getting off the bed, as she slowly walked towards the balcony hoping what she saw was a mere nightmare.
She walked into the balcony staring around, the duvet that fell from her hand wasn’t there and Kai walked in also searching around for her.
“What are we looking for?”. Kai asked as he even gazed down the rails at the activities going on outside.
“I dropped the duvet on this floorm The Emperor? Where’s he?!”.”. Jade asked with widened eyes.
“I was about asking you that”. Kai replied and Jade’s eyes widened as she fell to the ground and broke into another rounds.
“I thought it was a dream. I really killed him”. Jade mumbled and Kai’s eyes widened.
“Ki-kill? The Emperor’s dead?!”. Kai asked with widened eyes but before Jade could answer a huge commotion was heard outside from the main court and turned to the direction of the door unsheathing his sword he faced Jade.
“Wait here your grace”. Kai said and went out leaving Jade who continued to wallow in hurt as she cried out her eyes.

“Aren’t those demons, he’s enrolling into the court?”
“After keeping us waiting for hours he finally shows up with demons?”
“Since it’s the Emperor they might not be bad demons”
“Wait–isn’t that the Wang’s oldest daughter?! I thought they all died or something?”
Many mumbled as Danxu dressed in the Emperor’s royal robe continued reading, while Mina stood right next to him, still dressed in her maid’s outfit.
“And Zush our new Prime minister!!”. Danxu amnounced loudly and the most scariest of all the demons present came out to take his status medallion, while everyone gasped loudly in another uproar, Mina was the only one clapping supportively all through.
“Was i the only one expecting it to be Kai?”
“It should have been Kai”
“Does the Emperor wants Kai to remain his servant for the rest of his life?”
Many mumbled amongst themselves in the court and Asa who stood beside the servants gulped down fearfully as she began toying with her fingers nervously, she glanced at Mina who gave her a mocking look and Asa shook her head disappointedly at her.
“Now bow to me as our selection has finally ended!!”. Danxu shouted and everywhere became filled with more gossips only Mina went on her knees to bow and Danxu’s eyes reddened with rage as he used his powers to lift one of the subjects from the ground where he stood and began choking him to death, which made everyone shout as they immediately went on their knees in fear.
“We’re sorry for delaying your majesty!!”. Everyone said randomly but Danxu was still hell bent on choking the man as he finally choked him to death and drained all his blood and little energy into his system and many began crying.
