Everyone cheered the Hani while few threw harsh words at Giselle who didn’t seem to care.

The refree instead of announcing the results looked up at the Emperor incase he was against the win.

“It’s obviously foul”. Chief Ace frowned from where he and the other chieves sat.

“It was never a fair game to begin with so safe your temper cause your student lost”. Chief Shadow replied beside him.

“Of course you’ll support this. What was i expecting from her when her teacher is no different!”. Chief Ace snapped and Shadow threw him a glare.

“You both stop. The Emperor will decide”. Chief Foxy cautioned and the two chiefs rolled eyes.

“Should the win be canceled your majesty…

“Why? The one on the ground attacked from behind first and only got outsmarted. She played dirty first so its only answerable if the game is won dirty”. Emperor Damien replied and Kai nodded giving a signal to the refree the refree blew his whistle.

“Since the leader of the team B has been eliminated. Team A is now declared the winner!!”. The refree announced and everywhere became filled with cheers while Hani smiled widely to the crowd as her mother threw her kisses.

Congratulations Minister Ling. Please do favor us once you become the Emperor’s in law”. Minister Zhuo said and in anger Minister Wang stood up and left the arena and his Mistresses sighting him leaving stood up also.

“Mistress Gora take Lani home. After all you’re the closest to her since you both share Jun”. Mistress Yeri smirked before leaving.

“Do wake her up with a boiled water also and remind her of the good news her daughter brought for her”. Mistress Yeri added before walking out.

“Take who home? Doesn’t she have her servants to do that?”. Mistress Gora scoffed as she crossed Lady Wang’s unconscious body to leave.

“Be here tomorrow morning!! For the second phase of this competition!! Our contestants will be back in more more strength and ethusia!!”. The announcer announced and the Emperor stood up with Kai and as tradition he was to go down the field, to shake the remaining Contestants together with Kai.

Emperor Damien walked up to them, seeing their shiny teeths and ready hands as they greeted him shyly, his eyes only blinked, while his face was still straight in his mask.

Then he began shaking them one by one.

“Well done”. He muttered any time he shaked them and Kai did the same, most of the girls found it hard to let go of the Emperor’s hand but they still left him do as not to be punished but Kai’s hand suffered the most as he was even struggling with some girls to let go of him.

The Emperor got to the Wang sisters and Sana was first to shake him with a wide smile while the Emperor’s gaze on her twicthed a little.

“You didn’t compete”. He said and Sana blinked multiple times before speaking.

“I…I did…

“What team are you?”. The Emperor further asked and Sana gulped down nothing.

“Team…D…

“Get her arrested for dodging the contest”. The Emperor muttered to Kai as he moved to the next person who happemed to be Cherry.

Kai signaled at two nearby guards to take Sana away and everyone began mumbling in whispers.

“But….I’m not the only who dodged!! Jade should also be arrested! She deserves punishment also, is it cause she’s your student?!”. Sana yelled and Kai removed his sword placing it on Sana’s neck and everyone gasped.

“How dare you speak to the Emperor in that manner….

“Slit her right arm thrice and send her home”. The Emperor instructed shaking Cherry who didn’t seem to care about her step sister as she seductively took the Emperor’s arm. But everyone else had their eyes widened. Asa made to spesk but kept quiet since the Emperor seemed angry.

“Yes your majesty!”. Kai replied and in no time he harshly sliced Sana’s right arm thrice making her scream loudly falling to the floor with a bleeding arm as she was dragged by the guards out of the Arena.

The Emperor got to Asa and she took his hand calmly.

“Next time. Face it off and quit playing tricks I’m annoyed at your winning method”. The Emperor said walking away without shaking her since she was the last person and her mouth was agap but speechless as she watched him leave, then it was Kai’s turn to shake her and she threw him a glare.

“Act smart not fast. More like dress more, don’t train”. Kai scoffes mockingly before walking away and Asa’s eyes widened, as she watched him leave.

“He’s just a guard but so arrogant!! Did he just make fun of me?”. Asa asked pointing at herself. At that time everyone had already began leaving the arena.

“Should we leave now my lady?”. Sindura’s personal maid asked from where they hid watching the whole contest.

“Let’s come here tomorrow also. I find the competition very thrilling! Can’t wait to know who the future Empress will be! Hope she’s so cute!”. Sindura grinned as she left with the maid.

“Don’t let the demon king hear you my lady. He’s one of those people who wishes that an Empress never emerges”. Sindura’s maid muttered and she rolled eyes.

“As if Damon can stop the heavens from doing their thing”. Sindura scoffed before leaving.

DEMON CLAN

“So you think, the Minister of personal affair’s daughter Hani has a greater chance of becoming the Empress?”. Damon asked as he walked slowly round the garden, his glare on every flower he comes by.

“Yes your majesty. Should I order for her kill?”. His spy asked following him with a lowered head.

“Wait till the finals. Someone might likely overthrow her. Killing her now will only make Damien pick up on our plan”. Damon said and the spy nodded before disappearing then a maid walked passed him after greeting respectively.

“Come here “. He called glaring at the same flowers and the maid walked back to him, her head lowered to avoid contact with him.

“What are these bright flowers doing in my garden?”. He asked annoyed at the multiple amounts of flowers present.

“It’s…it’s the new lady my lord. She took liking to the garden and began watering it then they turned like this this….

“Flowers change colors based on the inner mind of it’s tender. They were black when I took care of them. But now white? Does it mesn I’ll be getting married to an immortal or what?!! An eyesore to my ancestors, she’ll need to die soon”. Damon muttered dangerously but the maid only kept quiet till he waved her to leave and she did, then Sindura arrived her eyes widened when she saw him stepping on one of the flowers and she rushed to push him away from it, then she picked up the flower and transfered it somewhere else.

“You almost crushed Mirabel”. Sindura muttered as she replanted the flower while Damon only stared confusedly at her.

“Mira what?”. He asked and Sindura stood up to face him.

“All the flowers you see here will one by one be my helpers in the future. That’s were i get my personal maids so don’t kill them i might need assistance with chores once we’re married….

“What chores? What marriage…

“I plan re touching this whole walls into a light colored castle. So that our people won’t be to scared to cone ask for our help”. Sindura said looking round the castle and Damon scoffed.

“We’re demons. So light has nothing to do with us! Neither does fear also, no fearful creature is supposed to come to me for help in the first place!!”. Damon snapped and Sindura sighed going back to her flowers.

“Well if you want the medallion you’ll have to do whatever i wish from you. I have the medallion locked deep in my heart so killing me also means making the medallion disappear. Until i willingly give it to you, you can never have it”. Sindura threatened softly and Damon walked to her gripping her neck tightly.

“I’ll surely find a way. Trust me! And once that happens I’ll surely I’ve your worthless heart didgged out for sure”. Damon threatened darkly before letting go of her and turning to leave.

“My father’s funeral is tonight….

Sindura couldn’t finish cause Damon was already gone and a tear fell from her eyes but she quickly cleaned it.

“I have to be strong if I want father to rest in peace. He wants me for Damon and I’ll see for that to happen”. Sindura muttered to herself.

WANG MANSION

“Oh mother!! I don’t know why the heavens decided to punish me this way. I was this close to becoming the new Empress!!”. Bae cried loudly on Mistress Soni’s laps, they were currently in Bae’s huge room.

“I’ll find you a better lord okay..

“But he won’t be as influential than the Emperor. If Mina ends up as the Empress I won’t be able to take it mother…

“Mina can’t cause I heard from the maids that she also got eliminated by Hani”. Mistress Soni said and Bae’s eyes widened as she stopped crying.

“She did?! Great! It’s best Hani becomes the Empress and not her!”. Bae smirked cleaning her tears.

“Now that Mina is out it won’t take long for the others to get sent home. Asa’s the only problem i see though”. Mistress Soni said and Bae shook head.

“You mean Jade. She got into the palace and immediately became the Emperor’s student only heavens know what she’s planning”. Bae said and her mother’s mood changed.

“She’s not a part of this household anymore. Your father already sold her. To a slave dealer I think, since your father refused telling us who he sold her to”. Mistress Soni said and Bae smiled widely.

“She obviously got eliminated before the contest then ended up being sold. It would have been better if dad killed her as planned though”. Bae muttered.

“Keep that aside and let’s go find you the most successful young man in this city to marry”. Her mother winked geting up also and Bae smiled happily.

Lady Wang woke up and immediately dashed out of her room going to Mina’s room.

“Thank goodness my Asa’s going to make her father proud. Many were called but only she made us fully proud!! Too bad a certain lady can’t relate”. Mistress Yeri said loudly when she ran into Lady Wang in the hallway.

But lady Wang instead ignored her as she ran to Mina’s room, going in and shutting the door.

FLASHBACK. TO LAST NIGHT…

“Seduce him and then after the contest make him mine”. Mina kept on saying to her self as she made her way to the Emperor’s chamber. Standing right in front of it she adjusted her transperent dress and gown.

She rested her palms on the door, smiling seductively as she tried opening the door to go into the Emperor’s chambers.

“That’s the Emperor’s room”. Jade said from behind her. She held a heavy iron pot with a spoon in her mouth as she talked.

Mina then faced her with a murderous look.

“Did i tell you I didn’t know? And what in taoist zone are you holding?! Do you think acting rashly everywhere you go is the best for you?”. Mina scoffed disgustingly and Jade droped the pot and spoon with her on the floor.

“Go back to your chamber. My master’s room is off limit”. Jade uttered calmly at first and Mina moved closer to her, preparing to strike Jade with her powers.

“You became his student out of his own mere assumption of seeing you remove the sword once. But the moments he realizes you’re nothing but an empty barrel you’ll surely be disposed like the waste you are!!”. Mina snapped and Jade smirked at her statement.

“You can go into his chamber then. Who I’m i to stop you”. Jade said picking up her pot and walking away.

“Like i need your permission to go in anyways”. Mina sneered with a glare before facing the door once more almost opening it, a heavy blow landed at the back of her head and she passed out on the ground. It was actually Jade who used the pot to hit her hard on the head.

“And everyone calls me a witch. She’s the real witch”. Jade spat kicking Mina’s body multiple times before dragging her through her legs to the training field were the Emperor had told her to sleep earliet.

Jade left Mina in the middle of the field and went back into the palace to have a good night rest.

END OF FLASHBACK

Mina balled her fist in anger as she remembered what happened last night. She was angry she got eliminated but was more mad that Jade gets to be in the palace without even trying.

“I must go back in no matter what!! She can’t be the Emperor’s mistress while i wallow here as a mere Minister’s daughter! I’ll become the Empress and make life miserable for her!! She’ll leave the palace on her own accord!!”. Mina screamed throwing all her stuffs to the floor.

“I’ll help you with that. I also have a name to safe, I’ll contact someone and you’ll be accepted back into the contest. This time don’t come out till you’ve achieved the crown and put my enemies to shame”. Lady Wang said walking into the room and Mina nodded walking to stare at her reflection in the huge mirror.

“I’ll surely succeed this time mother. Trust me”. Mina gritted beneath her breath and her mother glared into the mirror also.
