“You’re actually being so unfair right now. You think you would be alive if it weren’t for the concoction you just called poison?!”. Jade said getting up to face the Emperor who didn’t spare her a glance.
“I need rest”. The Emperor said to Kai going back to sleep and Kai bowed walking up to Jade who frowned.
“You heard him. Let’s go your grace”. Kai said and the Emperor scoffed at the name he called her.
“I also need rest. You should be the one leaving Kai”. Jade said going to sit on the Emperors bed earning a questionable gaze from the Emperor as she then laid down covering herself with the silk.
“Did i invite you in here?”. The Emperor’s voice came.
“That’s no way to talk to your saviour. I mean, everyone seems to respect me now and you shouldn’t be exempted”. Jade winked at the Emperor before turning her back on him and closing her eyes to sleep but she was caught unaware when she met herself on the ground, landing on her stomach and she groaned out in pain the Emperor had actually used his power force to push her off the bed.
“Focus more on your illiteracy instead of sleeping”. Emperor Damien sneered getting off the bed and walking to his dressing chamber to throw on a better robe.
He was still weak from the way he walked and Jade glared at his back side getting up to her feet.
“I’ll go tell the Queen Mother you’re awake now”. Kai said with an air of awkwardness as he made to rush out.
“No need for that. Let her take over for now, I’ve got a bigger problem to deal with”. Emperor Damien replied coming out of the dressing room in a dark warrior robe, his mask in his hand and Jade blinked staring at him.
“Are you going fishing?”. She asked and both the Emperor and Kai frowned at her stupid remark, but Kai soon faced the Emperor.
“I don’t think you’re strong enough to go hunting, your majesty”. Kai said.
“I’m not going hunting”. Emperor Damien replied.
“You can reply him but not me…
“Shut up”. Emperor Damien cut Jade off his full condescending gaze on her and she only frowned, then the Emperor’s gaze went to Kai.
“Don’t tell anyone anything about my recovery yet, otherwise the competition will have to continue and this bad chef right here still has a lot to learn”. Emperor Damien said and Kai nodded in understanding.
“So you’re stalling for time to train her”. Kai said and Jade faced the Emperor.
“I thought you said Kai would replace me?”. Jade asked.
“And you’re happy about that? How many of your mates did you see getting replaced out there?”. Emperor Damien uttered.
“You don’t have to be so rude like you saw me in your dreams, just answer like every normal person would!”. Jade snapped losing her cool and the Emperor in full rage took a step closer to her but Kai instantly went infront of Jade going on his knees.
“She’s obviously pissed, i apologize on her behalf but fighting…might actually bring down this whole palace”. Kai pleaded his head lowered and the Emperor moved back.
But when Kai stood to his feet loosing guard, the Emperor used a strong force to throw Jade to the wall very roughly that she once her back made contact with the wall her back bone bone cracking was heard then she fell to ground spitting out blood.
“Your Grace!!”. Kai called in shock rushing to hurt Jade.
“Go get dressed. Fast”. The Emperor ordered Jade harshly before putting on his mask and walking out of the chamber and Jade stared after him with a dazed look on her sobby face.
“I’m not going anywhere with him! Go tell him that!”. Jade snapped limping to the other end of the chamber to sit on the bed the Emperor had earlier laid her, when a great force pulled up her feet and out of the room, Kai only sighed watching get pulled out of the chamber forcefully.
“She’s too stubborn”. Kai muttered.

OUTSIDE THE PALACE
The Emperor kept walking through the buzzling streets from the looks of things no one recognized him since he wasn’t putting on his royal robe, though a lot turned to stare on many occasions cause of his mask and few had mistakenly bowed to greet him after recognizing his height as that of Emperor’s.
“Let me go!”. Jade screamed as the force kept forcing her to follow the Emperor.
“You’re literally bullying me right now!!”. Jade snapped and the Emperor stopped on his track frowning, then Jade moved closer to him frowning straight at his face.
“You can see I can’t walk properly all because of you why not find someone to rest for the moment? And…I’m hungry also…
Jade was cut off when the Emperor continued walking and her eyes widened as she was forced to follow him.
“Wait..no please my legs can’t take it anymore”. Jade began pleading as the Emperor won’t stop walking.
Then a silly idea crept into her head and she instantly fell to the ground pretending to hurt her knee.
“Arh! My knee! How will I work now?!”. Jade cried causing people around to turn to stare at her, the Emperor himself didn’t stop walking as the force kept dragging Jade even on the ground like she was being moved in a cart and Jade’s eyes widened.
“No! No please!! Help me everyone!! I’m just a young girl and this masked msn is taking me to the bush to do what every perverts does to a lady!! I have a sick mom who can’t stand my absence for too long or she’ll die!!
I can’t have my innocence tainted at such a early age!!”. Jade screamed at the top of her voice and the Emperor was forced to stop on his track turning to glance at Jade who wouldn’t stop faking tears as she got to her feet.
“See what he did to me, just so I wouldn’t run away! My mouths literally bleeding and i keep limping!! Please my mothers from another parents treat me like you’ll treat your daughters when you see them being pulled away by a stranger! I need help urgently”.
Jade cried rushing to hug a particular old lady crying in her arms and the Old lady petted her glaring the Emperor whose sharp eyes glared at Jade through his mask.
“Leave this village right now! We don’t accomodate child molesters!!”. The Old lady spat at the Emperor, who kept his hands behind him as his gaze didn’t leave Jade who tried so hard to avoid it.
“Are you deaf?! Leave this place right now or we call our chief and report you to the Emperor…
“No! The Emperor won’t eo anything! Just solve this whole thing amongst yourself”. Jade instantly cut a lady off and The Emperor shook head at her.
“This devil is quite domineering and ambitious! You’re still standing there!!”. The Old lady snapped again and right when the Emperor feeling utterly enraged at her words when a lettuce vendor by the side threw him lettuce at him and his eyes snapped to that person while Jade seeing what happened gulped down nothing.
Then more veggies and even stones were being throne at the Emperor and Jade’s eyes widened.
‘I’m dead’. She said in her head as the dirts kept coming at the Emperor.
‘Can’t believe such insolent people reside in my kingdom!’. Emperor Damien growled angrily stretching forth his hands to punish everyone present, the clouds darkened and a strong thunder clapped, frightening but Jade instantly ran to his front, blocking him from attacking anyone.
“I…i changed my mind. I’ll just go with him, his my older brother, I just couldn’t recognize him with the mask on”. Jade smiled addressing the public and the Emperor retreated his hand, though his anger was not calmed not yet.

👥 He’s obviously threatening her!
“If it’s true that he’s your brother, it’s best you confirm further with him taking off his mask!”.
The Old lady Jade had earlier hugged said and Jade glanced frightened at the Emperor whose side eye was enough to send her six feet.
“No don’t worry. I know my brother when i see him”. Jade grinned trying to walk away.
“Let him take off the mask then you’re free to go with him or we’ll report the both of you to the Emperor for promoting immorality in our holy village!!”. A man shouted from the crowd and Jade’s eyes widened.
“I don’t know what I was thinking getting this people involved”. Jade mumbled in a troubled look.
“Get Shenghai involved also. But She is certainly coming with me”. Emperor’s Damien voice came as he took Jade by the hand taking her with him. None was able to recognize his voice since most of them hadn’t been to the capital city to hear the Emperor speak before they were unable to recognize him.
The Emperor’s firm hand were still pulling Jade away when another hand took her second hand, making them stop on their track to see who it was hindering their exit.
“If you can’t take off your mask, you can’t take her”. Han said his servant Cho standing behind him and everyone around nodded in agreement.
‘You see what you caused?’. The Emperor mind linked with Jade.
“I’m sorry”. Jade mumbled slowly.
“Why apologize to him my lady. Your safety comes first”. Han continued and Jade turned to him.
“Thank for looking out for me. But i don’t really need it, just go on your way okay”. Jade said using her hands to shoo him off but Han held her hand which the Emperor instantly disconnected.
“Learn to mind your business”. Emperor Damien said his words dark but clear, and Han’s servant Cho’s eyes widened bowing instantly while Han stood up straight staring back at the Emperor who glared at him before leaving with Jade.
👥 What’s with bowing!
👥 People from the Capital city are so weird!

Many mumbled watching Jade leave with Emperor, while Han’s eyes followed them.
“We’re so dead! We just angered the Emperor!”. Cho panicked.
“Quit whining”. Han scoffed turning to leave and the Cho walked to him.
“What?! You think we won’t get punished?!”. Cho asked following his master.
“You thought the mysterious girl would just move around with anyone? Especially now that the Emperor’s fond of her”. Han muttered stopping in front of an artifact shop to check out some few swords and spears his gaze calm and straight fitting his pretty face thrn Cho’s eyes widened moving closer to him.
“You…knew he was the Emperor all along but still decided to cause such tantrum?!”. Cho snapped.
“Who else uses a dragon mask if not for him. I just wanted to see the face of the one who made me serve the military forcefully”. Han scoffed smiling at a particular silver sword he was holding then Cho knowing his master paid for it instantly.
“I get terrified at your thinking sometimes. Just don’t get us killed”. Cho muttered but Han had already walked away.
“The village of Shen will continue being the bests in having very sophisticated crafts and artifacts.
Let’s come here often to purchase more battle gears”. Han said walking away, as he played with his newly bought sword and Cho only sighed going after him.
