If you’re an active user on Twitter or you want to start using Twitter to generate leads organically, then this article is for you.

According to research, Twitter is the No 5 most used social media app in the world, with a total monthly visit of 7.1 billions people every month.

Unlike Facebook where we have groups, Twitter doesn’t have groups, but there are smart ways to get organic traffic from Twitter.

Let’s go deeper into how to get organic traffic from Twitter.

Step 1:- OPTIMIZE YOUR TWITTER PROFILE

This is one most important thing you should do if you want to generate leads organically from Twitter.

• Use your name and a simple username so it can be easily remembered

• Add a good looking picture of yourself with a neutral background

• Set up your Bio in a professional way to position yourself as an Authority and add a link to your lead magnet

• Create a lead generation post as a Twitter thread using an high compelling copy and give access to your lead magnet by adding a call to action and your funnel link

Also make sure you pin it on your Twitter profile.

Step 2:- FOLLOW TOP INDIVIDUALS IN YOUR NICHE AND TURN ON NOTIFICATIONS FOR THEIR POSTS

Now this is where most people get it wrong. For example: someone who is into Affiliate marketing (wealth Niche), instead of following people who talk about business opportunities, entrepreneurship, digital marketing e.t.c they’ll be following top performing Affiliate marketers.

I’m not saying it’s bad, but you can’t get traffic from those people.

• Make some keywords research in your niche. E.g fitness, weight loss, belly fats, e.t.c

• Follow top performing individuals in that Niche

You need to follow people who are top performing individuals in the niche.

I’m talking about the ones whom their profile is verifed or the ones who have large numbers following with a good amount of engagement on their posts.

• Turn on notifications for their posts so you can get notified anytime they post anything.

Step 3:- COMMENT BRILLIANTLY ON THEIR POSTS

The goal here is to get their attention and you can’t get their attention by commenting like every other person.

Even if you mention them in your comments, if it doesn’t speak value they won’t respond to it.

So you need to avoid comments like ” I got value, thanks for sharing ” and all of that stuff.

To get their attention here’s what you need to do….

• Read their post, digest it and understand it, then reasonably add your own valuable comments to it.

Now let me warn you…

Don’t talk down or disagree with their post even if it’s against your beliefs, all because you want to give value.

I mean..

Why would you disagree to a post made by an expert in that niche all because you want to prove that you’re knowledgeable too?

Except you want premium dragging, because everyone is going to come down on you.

Instead bypass such post and let it go

• Make sure you appear among the top 5 or 10 comments on their recent post.

The truth is when they make a post, they always check through the comments section to hear people’s opinions about the topic.

So if your comment strike value to their post, they’re likely to reply or retweet it, which is what we want.

Aside that some other people will be reading through the comments too and once they read your comments and percieve you’re knowledgeable, they’ll follow you on your account to stay connected with you.

• Quote them and create a value post out of the quote then you mentioned them under that quote, so they can get notified that someone just mentioned them in their post.

What will happen is that they’ll come to your post to see what happened that made you mentioned them in your post and once they go through your post and realized that it’s a valueable Content, they’ll retweet it to show their audience.

And once they do that, people will start liking your post, commenting, following and then your Twitter will begin to grow.

Now let me warn you again…

You don’t wanna “over do” this particular strategy.

If you do it often you’ll make them lost interest in you and they’ll stop retweeting your post.

So just do it once a while, so you don’t misuse that Opportunity.

But you can comment as much as you can, but I’ll advise 10 – 20 reasonable comments on all Post daily is enough.

Step 4:- CREATE VALUABLE POSTS, HOST LIVE SESSIONS OR SPEAK IN A LIVE SESSION.

This particular strategy I’m about to share is very unique and only few knew about it.

So make sure you take advantage of this strategy and milk it dry.

This is another brilliant way of getting leads to your Twitter.

Once your Twitter start growing, make sure you consistently post valuable contents on your Twitter account too.

Post your content at least 5 short valuable contents or even a valuable and interesting Twitter thread daily and watch out for the way people are engaging with your content.

Another brilliant way to get traffic is to host a live session, then invite an average individual who has more following than you do and has more people who engage with their post to come and speak in your live sessions.

Just make sure you create a relationship with that person at first before you offer them to come and speak on your live session.

One thing that will happen is that, they’ll invite their audience to join the live session and once you start delivering value in the session they’ll start following you because they’ll Perceive you as someone with knowledge about that particular topic.

Another brilliant way to get more people to your Twitter is to speak in a live session that is hosted by top individuals in your niche.

You don’t have to be scared

Just tell them you want to make a little contribution to what they’ve said.

Ofcourse they’ll allow you, and that’s an opportunity for you to deliver value to the listeners and it’ll get more people to follow you because they’ll see you as someone with knowledge.

If you’re very lucky, when another session will come up they can even invite you to be among the speakers in the session.

That way you’re now growing your Twitter following with people who are likely to be interested in what you’re selling.

Now here comes the question how do you drive them into your funnel?

Step 5:- CREATE A LEAD GENERATION POST AND PIN IT ON YOUR TWITTER PROFILE.

Now let’s talk about how you can get them to opt in into your sales funnel.

Once you’ve gotten a lot of followers on your Twitter account with a lot of engagement on your post, there are 2 ways you can drive them to your sales funnel.

1. Create a lead generation post as a Twitter thread and pin it (I mentioned it earlier in step 1)

2. Give link to access your lead magnet on your Bio (I also mentioned it in step 1)

These are the first two things people will be seeing when they check out your Twitter for the first time

If they fail to opt in through the link in the Bio, they’ll definitely opt in through the link in the pinned post (Twitter thread) because it’ll explain in details to them what the lead magnet is all about.

These will get you leads into your funnels organically, but they won’t be coming in groups or clusters, they’ll be coming in one by one.

That is why hosting a WhatsApp class isn’t profitable if you’re getting organic traffic from Twitter.

BONUS TIP
