INTO THE DEPTHS OF LOVE : CHAPTER 111 – 120
Cecelia’s voice echoed through the room as she objected to the idea of divorce.
“I won’t sign it! I want you, Luke,” she said, making an innocent face.
“Don’t act innocent. I’ve fallen for that for years, but not anymore,” Luke replied, his heart aching despite his resolve.
“Please, Luke, let’s fix this.”
“There’s nothing to fix, Cecelia. You chose to cheat on me, and that’s why I’m ending this.”
“I won’t sign it!”
“If you don’t, you’ll have to go to jail for murder,” the divorce lawyer said.
“What? I didn’t kill anyone!” Cecelia screamed.
“You did. You aborted four innocent babies. But your ex-husband is willing to avoid pressing charges if you sign the papers.”
“Luke, please, you can’t—”
“The police are waiting outside. Sign the papers, or you’ll spend your life in jail.” Luke’s voice was steady, though his heart shattered with every word. Still, he stayed strong.
Reluctantly, Cecelia signed the divorce papers.
“Let’s never see each other again,” Luke said, walking out on her.
Tears fell from Cecelia’s eyes. She had lost Luke for good.
“This is all Kristin’s fault!” Cecelia muttered, clenching her fists under the table.

**DAYS LATER**
Natalie kept exhaling as she waited for Luke. When he arrived and sat across from her, she looked nervous.
“I didn’t think you’d show up.”
“What do you want to say?” Luke asked.
“I’m sorry about the kiss—and about my ex-husband’s affair with your wife.”
“Ex-wife,” Luke corrected. “Cecelia and I are no longer married, so there’s nothing to be sorry for.”
“I’ve also ended my marriage with Lewis. He’s out of the country, like I asked him to.”
“Good for you.”
Natalie hesitated before continuing. “I love you, Luke.”
“What?”
“I’ve fallen in love with you. But after what our ex-partners did to us, I know it won’t work out. I just wanted you to know how I feel. I’m sorry again.”
Luke remained silent, unsure how to respond.
Natalie’s bodyguard arrived to take her, but just as she was leaving, Luke spoke.
“Although I don’t feel the same way, you’re still my friend. I’m looking forward to more of your books.”
Natalie smiled softly before leaving with her bodyguard.
Luke exhaled and was about to leave when he noticed Romina sitting nearby, trying to hide her face with a magazine. But he saw her before she could hide.
“Mina?” he called as he approached her.
“It’s not her,” Romina said, changing her voice.
Luke took the magazine from her, revealing her face. She blushed, trying to avoid his gaze.
“Did you follow me here?” he asked.
“No,” she replied quickly.
“Then why are you here?”
“I came to see a friend.”
“Kristin’s your only friend. You followed me, didn’t you?”
Romina sighed. “Fine, I admit it. I followed you.”
Luke chuckled and sat beside her. “You’re a stalker. Do you love me that much?” he teased.
“It’s not funny,” Romina said, rolling her eyes.
“I’m sorry for how I spoke to you before, and thank you for watching over me when I was at my worst.”
“It’s nothing,” she said shyly with a smile.
“So, friends?” he asked with a grin, and Romina nodded with a shy smile.
