INTO THE DEPTHS OF LOVE : CHAPTER 131 – 140
“Because you paved the way for us to have a good life. You married a man who loves you so much that he’d do anything for your family. When you got pregnant after that one night with a stranger, I thought it was all over for you.
But the heavens rewrote your story, and now you’re blessed with a man like Richard. Though he doesn’t smile often, I have no worries—he’d risk his life for you.
Even if I were to die now, I’d have no regrets, knowing you’re married to a man who truly loves you.”
“What are you talking about, Dad? No one’s dying. I still need you here, and you’ll witness another grandchild from me and my husband.”
“Then hurry up! I want another grandson.”
“My husband and I are working on it. I’ll give my handsome dad a cute little prince,” Kristin said, grinning as she playfully tugged at his cheeks.
“I love you so much, my child.”
“I love you too, Dad… so much,” Kristin giggled, hugging him affectionately.
“So, how’s school?” Dante asked, still holding her in the hug.
“I’ll be resuming next month.”
Just then, a young boy stepped inside, interrupting their father-daughter moment.
“Mr. Dante,” the boy said.
“Oh, Victor, you’re finally here?” Dante smiled.
“Who’s he, Dad?” Kristin asked.
“He’s my new employee. It’s a new business, and I needed a helping hand.”
“I thought Mr. Grouchy said he’d take care of it.”
“He’s already done so much for us, Kristin. I don’t want to rely on him for everything. Besides, Victor is hardworking, right?” Dante asked with a smile.
“Yes, sir. Ms., I really need this job. I just finished high school and am saving up for college.”
“I didn’t say I didn’t want you working for my dad. Just don’t give him any trouble, and we won’t have any problems.”
“Thank you, ma’am. I’ll work hard,” Victor said, smiling.
“Go ahead and clean up,” Dante instructed.
“Yes, Mr. Dante.” Victor smiled and left.
“Do you think he’s trustworthy?” Kristin asked.
“Of course. I interviewed him before hiring him. Plus, he has some experience in winemaking. With his help, things will be easier.”
“Alright, Dad, if you say so. I’ll still talk to my husband about bringing in more help.”
“It’s fine, Kristin. It’s a small business. Victor and I can handle it.”
Kristin nodded but glanced over at Victor, catching him looking at her. She furrowed her brow, but he just smiled.
Kristin shook it off and smiled back at her dad.
“Let’s grab something to eat,” she suggested.
“Why?”
“What do you mean why? I want to bond with my dad. I couldn’t afford to take you out for lunch before, but now that I can, let’s grab something to eat. I’m going to spoil you.”
“Is this your way of bragging that you’re married to a billionaire?” Dante teased.
Kristin laughed and grabbed his hand, looping her arm through his.
“I’m going to treat you to a nice meal. It’s time I take care of my favorite person,” Kristin said playfully as she led Dante out.
Victor, who had been pretending to clean, quickly dropped the broom, pulled out his phone, and made a call.
“I got the job. What do you want me to do to Dante Santiago?” he asked.
