“I never considered you my mother. You may have brought me into this world, but we don’t have a mother-son bond because you treated me unfairly. I only brought you into this house because I thought you had slight brain damage and amnesia. Now that I’ve found out you’re lying, you’ve given me a reason to kick you out!”
“I lied because I wanted you back in my life. I wanted to be a mother to you, and I knew you would never accept me. That’s why I lied,” Tabitha said, holding onto the terrace of the large gate, her tears mingling with the blood on her burst lips.
“I don’t need you to be my mother! When I needed your love and affection, all you gave me was torture! If you don’t want to see the devil you created inside of me, you better leave. Otherwise, I’m going to cut off your head. I don’t say what I can’t do—I learned that from you,” Richard’s baritone voice was thick and frightening.
He watched her leave, trying to fight back the tears, but he couldn’t. Why was he so unfortunate to have a mother like Tabitha?
But if only he knew what the woman he saw as his mother had in store for him, he wouldn’t have let her go so easily.
Kristin tapped him from behind, and Richard slowly turned to look at her. Like that, he hugged her. Knowing he needed it, Kristin comforted him the best way she could.

**A WAREHOUSE**
Tabitha angrily banged her hand on the table while Adriana sat down, looking at her. Aside from the underground bunker, she had a warehouse.
In her early 20s, she used to be the rich daughter of a wealthy family, but everything went down the drain when the acid accident happened, which was caused by Julio and Ophelia.
“This is all Kristin’s fault! Richard wouldn’t have found out if it weren’t for that pregnant fool.”
Adriana chuckled and stood up. “That’s why you should’ve been careful, Aunt Paulina. Kristin isn’t just annoying but also a nosy bitch,” Adriana said.
“She just added herself to the revenge list,” Tabitha sneered.
“What are you planning to do?” Adriana asked, and Tabitha looked at her, her eyes glaring.

Kristin and Richard smiled as they watched their baby’s heart beating on the ultrasound; it was still a fetus.
“Your little Richard is developing healthily, Heartbeat,” Kristin said with a smile, and Richard returned the smile. He just couldn’t wait to become a father.
“Mummy, give birth quickly! I want to carry my little brother,” Kathryn chirped in since she came with them.
“Mummy has six months left, and after that, you will be able to carry your baby brother,” Kristin said, and Kathryn smiled.
“Well, you’re still in the early stages of pregnancy, so we can’t determine the sex of the baby for now. But just know that your baby is in good health, though you still need to be careful for the remaining six months before your delivery,” the doctor said. She was the same doctor who confirmed that Kristin was pregnant.
“Don’t worry, I’ll do my best to keep her out of stress,” Richard said, kissing Kristin’s forehead, and she smiled.
When they were done, they headed back home, but not before stopping at an ice cream store to get Kathryn some ice cream.
She sat at the back while both Kristin and Richard were in the front.
“Heard from Tabitha? It’s been three months,” Kristin said as he drove.
“I don’t give a damn about her. And the doctor who lied to me about Tabitha’s condition is no longer working in that hospital. Let’s leave everything behind us and focus on your delivery,” Richard said, and Kristin nodded, not wanting to press further.
The drive continued, but upon reaching the entrance of the mansion gate, they saw a man lurking around, peeping into the compound.
