INTO THE DEPTHS OF LOVE : CHAPTER 151 – 160
Richard and Kristin got out of the car, leaving Kathryn inside, still enjoying her ice cream.
“Who the heck are you?” Richard asked, and the gray-eyed man turned to look at them.
“Hi, my name is Paul,” he smiled, his eyes darting from Richard to Kristin.
“I didn’t ask for your name! Why are you lurking around my house?” Richard demanded, while Kristin’s eyes were fixed on Paul.
“I came all the way from the Philippines to see my daughter.”
“Daughter?” Kristin asked, furrowing her eyebrows.
“I’m the man you had a one-night stand with; I’m Kathryn’s father,” Paul said, his gray eyes on both Richard and Kristin, who looked shocked.

Richard’s eyes remained fixed on Paul, who was doing his best to avoid the cold, gray glare. Kristin sat beside Richard, with Kathryn in the middle.
She had tried her best to recall the face of the man from that one-night stand seven years ago, but she just couldn’t remember what he looked like.
“Where did you say you’re from again?” Richard’s baritone voice asked, calm but sending a chill down Paul’s spine.
“I’m from the Philippines,” Paul answered.
“From the Philippines?” Richard repeated, as if he hadn’t heard Paul clearly. Paul nodded.
“How did you know my wife is here in Las Vegas? And how did you even find out where I live?” Richard asked again, as both Kristin and Kathryn stared at him.
Worry was written all over Kristin’s face, unsure if Paul was really the man from seven years ago. As for Kathryn, the hatred she felt for Paul was clearly visible.
She was putting all her hope in Richard, who had promised never to let her father take her away.
Paul, on the other hand, looked at the family before him, carefully choosing his words before speaking.
“I asked around for Kristin. After that night, I couldn’t forget her,” Paul replied, and Richard clenched his fists.
He was clearly jealous of Paul’s words, but this was a serious matter, and he didn’t need to punch Paul in the face for daring to say he couldn’t forget his wife.
“If you didn’t forget about the mistake we made that night, why are you only showing up now?” Kristin asked.
“Because I was in an accident. I came out of a coma just a year ago, and all I did was search for you, Kristin. I was told you were a medical student in the Philippines, but when I inquired, I learned you had returned to Glenwood, your hometown. I kept searching for you until I found out you were married and living here in Las Vegas.”
“And you concluded that Kathryn is your daughter?” Richard asked.
“It’s impossible for her to be your daughter, Mr. Richard. Your marriage with Kristin isn’t even a year old, so there’s no way you could have a six-year-old child. Moreover, I heard that Kristin dropped out of school because she was pregnant. You were a virgin that night, which clearly means I am Kathryn’s father.”
“You are not my daddy!” Kathryn finally spoke, clinging to Richard.
“All I want is to be a father to you, Kathryn. I’m sorry for coming late, but please give me a chance, and I’ll love you like a father should,” Paul said, but Kathryn shook her head in disagreement.
Kristin cursed herself inwardly for still having a memory block about the man she had given herself to seven years ago.
“Daddy Richard, I don’t want him as my daddy. Don’t give me to him,” Kathryn pleaded, gripping Richard’s shirt, tears welling up in her eyes.
Richard wiped her tears and gave her a reassuring smile. “That won’t happen, Baby Kathy.”
“Are you going to deprive me of being with my own daughter?” Paul asked, but Richard shot him a look so intense it seemed to take years off Paul’s life.
