INTO THE DEPTHS OF LOVE : CHAPTER 161 – 170
Richard walked around the factory floor, inspecting whether his employees were processing the sardines correctly.
He owned a sardine company, but his hotel business was always his top priority. He only visited his other companies occasionally.
“Does everything look good to you?” Luke asked, and Richard nodded.
“Take care of things here; I’m going to pick up Kathryn.”
“I thought they were having a fun day at the zoo?” Luke asked.
“Yes, it’s over now.”
“Okay. And how’s Kristin?”
“She’s fine,” Richard replied.
“When are you going to tell her the truth about being Kathryn’s father?” Luke asked. Richard had already confided in him, as he considered Luke more than just an employee—he was like a brother.
“I’ll tell her when the time is right, maybe after she gives birth.”
Luke nodded, and with that, Richard headed to Kathryn’s school, only to be informed that she was missing.
“What?! My daughter is missing, and you had the nerve to come back to this school?!” Richard roared. His face darkened with fury, and the teachers shrank back in fear.
“We’ve searched everywhere, Mr. Richard. We found one of her sneakers near the lion enclosure, and we think she was kidnapped,” Vanessa stammered, her voice trembling.
Without warning, Richard grabbed Vanessa by the throat, his hand tightening around her neck. “I told you to watch over my daughter! You think my warnings were just empty words?!”
The teachers gasped, terrified of the violence in his eyes. Vanessa choked, her face turning red as she struggled for air.
“It’s not Teacher Vanessa’s fault. We snuck away from the group to see the lions,” Corrine confessed, her face wet with tears.
“Corrine’s right. We left without our teacher’s permission because Kathryn wanted to see the lions,” Isabella added, her voice shaky.
Richard’s grip on Vanessa loosened, and he let her go, his chest heaving with anger. His mind raced, desperate to find his daughter.

**WAREHOUSE**
Kathryn screamed loudly as Paul carried her into one of the rooms.
“Mummy! Daddy Richard!” Kathryn screamed again as Paul tied her up.
“You better shut up!” Paul warned.
“I won’t shut up! Take me back to my Mummy and Daddy Richard!” Kathryn yelled and bit Paul’s hand.
Paul winced from the pain. “You little brat!” He raised his hand to slap her, but Adriana’s voice stopped him.
“Don’t even think about it,” Adriana said, making Kathryn’s jaw drop.
“It’s you! I always knew you were bad!” Kathryn shouted.
“Why did you try to hit her?” Adriana asked Paul, ignoring Kathryn’s words.
“That little brat bit me,” Paul replied, still feeling the sting.
“Kathryn, are you okay?” Adriana asked.
“How can I be okay when you’ve tied me up! You’re a bad person! Take me to my Mummy and Daddy Richard!” Kathryn screamed, and Adriana sighed.
“Keep your voice down, or I’ll cut off your tongue,” Tabitha said, walking in.
“Grandma Tabitha?” Kathryn gasped, shocked.
“Hello, granddaughter,” Tabitha said sarcastically.
“Why did you bring me here? Take me back to my Mummy! My daddy will kill you when he finds out you have me.”
Tabitha chuckled darkly. “You have a sharp mouth just like your mother’s. But unfortunately, you’ll be dead before he comes for you.”
“What do you mean?” Kathryn asked, staring at Tabitha.
“You made this too easy, Kathryn. After Paul found out about your school’s fun day, we were planning how to get you, but you walked right into our hands. You made your death so easy,” Tabitha sneered.
“You can’t do anything to me, my Daddy Richard is going to come for me!” Kathryn confidently said and spat on Tabitha’s face.
Tabitha grabbed Kathryn’s hair, but Kathryn didn’t flinch. Her eyes glared at Tabitha with defiance.
“Does Richard’s blood run inside you? How dare you spit on me?!” Tabitha raged angry at the bravely of a little girl.
“Don’t ever mess with Daddy Richard’s daughter!” Kathryn said and spat on Tabitha’s face again.
