I chased you away because the jangling sound you told your dad I was afraid of, reminds me of my painful experiences. It reminds me of my helpless self and the sufferings I had to go through each day. It remains me ….”

Richard could no longer speak, because he broke into tears.

Kristin stared at Richard, feeling sorry for him.

He wasn’t as bad as he thought he was.

This man wasn’t this way because he wanted to.

This man who she thought had a strong heart is crying in front of her.

This is the first time she is seeing him in an emotional state, and it breaks her heart a thousand pieces.

Seeing this man crying, shatters her heart.

Kristin went to him, and pulled him into a hug, her tears wetting his shoulders.

“I’m sorry for chasing you out in the rain” Richard apologizes, hugging her tightly, allowing the tears he has hidden for twenty years to flow down his eyes.

“You don’t have to apologize to me. I didn’t know you went through a lot. I won’t ever talk about the jangling sound. I am so sorry” Kristin apologized, crying.

“Can I be in your arms for a little longer?” He asked, his hands still wrapped around her.

“I’m all yours. I belong to you” She cries, like she was the one who was tortured twenty years ago.

Richard rested his head on Kristin’s breasts, his hands on her waist, his face were wet from his own tears.

“The malicious woman who made life miserable for me… The malicious woman who torture me like a criminal was ….” Richard paused.

“She was my mom”.
