Ophelia smiled; “I was at the award event in Richard’s hotel”

“So?”

“I overhead the girl you sent to stain Richard’s company. She is a wannabe actress, and when she mentioned your name during your conversation, I heard investigate who bears the name Lewis in the entertainment industry, and it turned out to be you” Ophelia kept quiet and continued.

“We both have the same zeal to destroy Richard, we should join forces and bring him to his downfall”

“I thought you were his adoptive mother?” Lewis asked.

“You think I’d accept a devil as my son? I resent him so much for replacing my daughter in my husband’s heart! I also hate the fact that he became successful, I want to pull him down. Let’s work together to achieve our heart desires”

“Richard is mine to destroy and mine alone”

“There’s a saying that two heads are better than one. Richard is a powerful man, you can’t bring down alone”

“I would’ve done that if Kristin didn’t interfere with my plans. I’m going to make her pay for it at the right, and as for you, use the door” Lewis huffed.

“Are you turning my proposal down?”

“I’m sure your ears aren’t clogged, but if they are clogged, I am going to repeat myself again. I won’t work with you. You should hatch your plans on both Richard and Kristin, and I am gonna do mine. Use the door before I call the security on you” Lewis said.

Ophelia loomed at Lewis before leaving his office.

She was so angry by the fact that Lewis turned her down. All she was hoping when she stepped into his office was that they’d work together, only for her to be disappointed.

She hopped into her car, and informed Parker (Her private investigator) to meet up with her.

They settled down in a coffee shop, and Ophelia lashed out how disappointed she felt when Lewis turned her down.

“He so stupid not to have agreed to work with me! I’m only doing him a favor, how dare him turn me down!” She lashes out.

“Why aren’t you saying anything?!” Ophelia yelled at Parker when he kept mute, rather than giving her feedback.

“I don’t know what to say, Ophelia, but I have a suggestion concerning Kristin”

“What could it be?” She curiously asked.

“It was quick for her to tell the difference between lettuce and taro leaf. Vegas isn’t known for farming, so taro leaf isn’t common here, but she was so quick to detect it wasn’t lettuce”

“I still don’t get your point, Parker,” Ophelia said.

“It’s already known that Kristin isn’t from Vegas, and what she did yesterday made me come up with this thought that she might be from a town dominated by farmers”

“She always dressed elegantly”

“That can easily be done by money”

“Go on,” Ophelia commanded.

“If my suspicions are correct, then she must be from a town where farming is their major occupation”

“Which towns are mostly dominated by farmers?” Ophelia inquired.

“If I am not mistaken, then it will be, Gilroy, Marion, Oregon and lastly Glenwood”

“Since you suspect she must be a farmer’s daughter, then look into these towns and see if she is from any of these towns”

“Why are you so eager to know about her background?” Parker asked.

“I told you before, she is too good to be true. I want to know if she has some dirty secrets in the past and use it against her”

“When you do, can you please not involve me in it? I don’t want Richard’s trouble” Parker tweeted.

“Don’t worry Parker, this is a fight between Richard and I” Ophelia raged.
