INTO THE DEPTHS OF LOVE : CHAPTER 91 – 100
After dinner, Kristin entered the room and saw Richard focused on his laptop.
“Are you working?” she asked as she climbed onto the bed.
“No, I’m looking up the best schools for baby Kathy. She’s in second grade, right? I want to enroll her in the best school,” Richard replied, still looking at the screen.
Kristin gazed at him for a moment, then leaned in and kissed him on the cheek.
“Why?” he asked, smiling.
“Thank you for everything you’ve done for my family.”
Richard set aside the laptop and wrapped his arm around her waist. “They’re my family too, Forevermore.”
Kristin smiled.
“I’ve been thinking, maybe we should have a real wedding.”
“A wedding?” Kristin asked.
“Yes. We registered our marriage, but we never actually had a ceremony. I want you to walk down the aisle in a beautiful wedding dress, towards me.”
“I like the sound of that. So, when should we have this grand wedding?” She asked with a smile.
“Tomorrow. I can have everything arranged by tonight.”
“Is that one of the perks of being a billionaire? You can plan a wedding in a day?”
“Pretty much,” he chuckled, giving her a brief kiss. But Kristin wanted more, so she pulled him closer, deepening the kiss. Passion flared between them as they devoured each other’s lips.
Kristin was just about to undo Richard’s shirt when a knock interrupted them.
“Daddy Richard!” Kathryn called from outside, her voice shaky with tears.
“It’s baby Kathy,” Richard said, getting out of bed.
He opened the door, and Kathryn ran into his arms, sniffling.
“What’s wrong, baby Kathy? Why are you crying?”
“I had a nightmare. A big monster was chasing me.”
“It was just a dream. It’s not real.”
“Will you stay beside me, Daddy Richard? So you can fight the monster if it comes?”
Richard smiled and lifted her off the ground. “Alright. Daddy Richard will stay with you and fight off any monsters.”
Kathryn smiled, resting her head on his shoulder.
Richard turned to Kristin and whispered, “Good night,” before leaving the room.
Kristin fell back onto the bed, already missing him.
INTO THE DEPTHS OF LOVE : CHAPTER 91 – 100
A balding man entered the coffee shop and sat across from Julio, who had been waiting for him.
“You must be Julio Hernandez,” the man said.
“Yes, and you’re Mason, right?”
“That’s me.”
“I needed a top investigator to find my daughter, and I was told you’re the best.”
“I am, Mr. Hernandez. If you trust me, I’ll get the job done.”
“I trust you, that’s why I asked to meet.”
“So, tell me, when did your daughter go missing?”
“Twenty years ago.”
“What’s her name, and where was she last seen?”
“Her name is Adriana Hernandez. She went missing when we were at a mall. One moment she was there, and the next, she was gone.”
“Do you have a childhood photo or anything that might help speed up the search?” Mason asked.
Julio quickly pulled out an old photograph. “This is her as a little girl. She has a large mole on the back of her neck.”
“Alright. I’ll begin the search and update you soon.”
“Thank you,” Julio said with a hopeful smile.
INTO THE DEPTHS OF LOVE : CHAPTER 91 – 100
Romina stood outside the library, waiting for Luke. When he finally emerged, she smiled and approached him.
“Luke.”
“What are you doing here?” Luke asked, surprised to see her.
“I saw your bio on Instagram. It says you love this library,” Romina said, still smiling.
“And you followed me here? Are you a stalker?” Luke asked bluntly, wiping the smile off her face.
“No, I just—”
“Are you in love with me?” Luke interrupted, and Romina froze.
“No, I’m not,” she replied in a quiet voice, though she was lying.
Luke grabbed her phone. “What’s the password?”
“5401,” she said reluctantly.
Luke opened her phone and dialed his own number. The contact name “Dearest Husband” appeared on the screen.
“What’s this?” he demanded, showing her the phone.
“Well, I—”
“It was just a hunch, but I was right! Why would you save my number as ‘Dearest Husband’?”
“I—”
“I have a wife, Mina. I love her. Don’t cause trouble for me or make her think I’m cheating. I hate clingy women like you,” Luke snapped.
He deleted his number from her phone, handed it back to her, and walked away.
Romina tried not to cry, but his words shattered her. *I hate clingy women like you.*
They broke her so deeply that she sank to the ground, sobbing uncontrollably.
