INTO THE DEPTHS OF LOVE : CHAPTER 91 – 100
Kristin looked at her daughter and felt a pang of guilt for asking Kathryn to refer her as “Auntie” instead of “Mom.”
“Come here, Kathryn,” she said with a smile tinged with guilt.
Kathryn climbed off Richard’s lap, and Kristin picked her up.
“You don’t need to call me Auntie anymore. Daddy Richard knows you’re my daughter now.”
“Really? You know I’m Mom’s daughter?” Kathryn asked Richard.
Richard nodded with a smile; Kathryn was the second person who could make him smile.
“Does that mean you’ll accept me as your daughter and let me live with you?” Kathryn asked loudly for a six-year-old.
“Yes, Baby Kathy. You’ll stay in Las Vegas with us, and I’ll enroll you in the best school here.”
“Yay! I love you, Daddy Richard. I wish you were my real daddy,” Kathryn said, hugging him tightly.
Kristin and her parents could feel the genuine love Richard had for Kathryn, and they were deeply grateful.
“Have you thought about a business yet?” Richard asked, holding Kathryn in his arms.
“Yes, we have,” Dante replied.
“Can I hear it?”
“I’d like to open a fashion store. I used to be a fashion designer in the Philippines, but I stopped due to a lack of funds.”
“And you, Dad?” Richard asked.
“I love winemaking. I’d like to have my own wine distillery.”
“Alright. I’ll have it ready within a week.”
“Thank you…”
“You don’t have to thank me,” Richard interrupted, his hand moving to Kristin. “She is my wife, and I’d do anything for the people she loves and cares about,” Richard added. Kristin smiled at him, and he gladly returned the smile.
INTO THE DEPTHS OF LOVE : CHAPTER 91 – 100
Natalie entered the hospital and saw Lewis standing near the window.
“So it’s true, you’re awake?” Natalie asked. She had received a call from the hospital saying Lewis was conscious.
Lewis turned to face her, his brows knitted in confusion.
“Why do you seem so indifferent to my awakening? Were you happy while I lay unconscious?” Lewis asked, pointing at the bed.
Natalie rolled her eyes.
“You can think whatever you want, Lewis. I don’t care.”
“Is there someone else?” Lewis asked.
“What do you mean?” Natalie replied.
“You don’t look at me the way you used to. Are you seeing someone else?”
Natalie thought of Luke and sighed. It felt wrong to be attracted to a married man, but she couldn’t stop herself from thinking about him.
“Are you seeing someone else?” Lewis pressed.
“Don’t accuse me of cheating, Lewis! Even if you’re irritating me now, I would never cheat on you. If I find out you’ve been unfaithful, I won’t hesitate to divorce you and take back the company that made you rich.”
“Are you threatening me?”
“Take it however you want,” Natalie said, and wheeled away from the ward.
Lewis clenched his fists and called Cecelia.
“You’re finally awake?” Cecelia asked when she answered the call.
“You once said you spoke to Kristin, right?”
“Yes.”
“Let’s meet up. I need you to lure Kristin into my trap,” he said, his voice dripping with malice.
