READY TO BE PLAYED SEASON 2 : CHAPTER 1 – THE END
Episode 11
💧Bailey Hadid💧
The sound of the alarm clock ringing woke me up. I flipped open my eyelids and sat up on the bed while the annoying clock still blared on.
I grabbed my small box on the other side of me opening it and then I retrieved the pair of contacts putting them on my eyes.
Blue eyes, I love them. But I got brown eyes instead.
I smiled almost immediately remembering how last night was with Ryder. I haven’t had that much fantastic fun in like forever.
I mean, yesterday was great. It was just me and him. The two of us, just us, Ryder and I.
I was drifted out of my thoughts by Riley turning off her alarm clock begrudgingly.
“Good morning”. I greeted her cheerfully.
She scowled. “We are not friends so don’t talk to me”.
“Whatever. If its about the Alvin stuff then don’t worry, I got a new guy to focus on”.
“I’m pretty sure that you stole the guy from someone else”.
“Really now? Thats childish”.
“I’m being childish?”. She scoffed. “You are the one who’s trying to steal my boyfriend”.
“What? I stopped already, yeah, I was gonna do it but I didn’t”.
“You couldn’t anyways. Alvin can’t fall for some cheap whore like you”. She snapped at me.
I crossed my arms. “Excuse you but I’m not cheap like you are saying”.
“Well you make it seem like because you are the one chasing after the guys wanting them to notice you”.
“Hold it up back there, Riley. Don’t you try to call me cheap”.
She rolled her eyes. “You are lucky that you gave up on trying to make Alvin yours. It can never happen”.
“Really now? You think that Alvin can’t fall for me?”.
“I don’t think that. I know that he can never fall for you”.
I frowned getting upset. “I will prove you wrong”.
“You can’t, sweetheart. Alvin is all mine”.
She winked at me before flopping back on the bed. I frowned and stood up walking over to the bathroom.
I stepped in and went directly to the mirror staring at myself. She called me a cheap whore, I am not any of that.
I sigh remembering how Ryder described yesterday night. He had called me a bitchy cheerleader which makes me wonder if I changed that much.
I stare at my soft pastel fake blue eyes and my back length strawberry blonde hair.
Maybe I should just cut off being Isabella.
Or maybe not.
I love this new me, I mean, the attention and everything else is so flattering. Back in Australia, I was one of the most popular girls in college.
But I didn’t like associating with people, I always feared that they’ll go against me, I never trusted anyone. Ever, not since that incident.
I heaved a deep sigh and walked out of the bathroom bumping into Riley who pushed me out of the way going inside.
I frowned remembering all what she said, she thinks that I’m some cheap whore who can’t get her boyfriend, right?
Alvin, here I am. I’m just going to show her that she shouldn’t underestimate anyone.
I chuckled to myself going to my bed as I flopped on it contemplating on what to do.

Hours Later
The lecturer steps out of the hall and then I breathe out a sigh of relief standing up as well as everyone here too.
“You don’t like Algebra?”.
I turned to see Sean standing next to me wearing a plaid blue shirt which brought out his blue eyes making him look so cute.
“Hey”. I smiled at him. “Its you again”.
“Yeah. I was also surprised to see you in Algebra, found myself staring at you”.
I blushed slightly. “Oh. Was that meant to be a compliment?”.
“It was meant as one”.
“Thanks. And about that Algebra stuff, I totally hate it”.
“Obviously”. He replied as we walked out of the hall.
I glanced at him. “Wait, no what?”.
“No offense but you don’t seem like the kind of girl that would like anything Maths or worse, Algebra”.
“None taken”. I chuckled lightly. “So what kind of girl do you think I am?”.
“Well the kind of girl who would to party all day along not caring if they were others in the room with her”.
I laughed lightly. “Sorry to disappoint you but I don’t like parties”.
“Woah. First time, a gorgeous beauty like you isn’t into partying”.
I walked out of the hall besides him. “Well I just don’t like the fact that I’ll be in a room with people drinking and vomiting all over the place, especially the ones with sweaty bodies”.
“Thats extremely specific but Hey, not all beautiful girls like parties”.
“You know, you don’t have to keep calling me beautiful, right?”.
He shrugged. “I can’t help it. You are really gorgeous and look smart as well. My type of girl”.
“Oh”. My cheeks flushed red. “Thanks”.
“I think your boyfriend is pretty lucky”. He added.
“My boyfriend? I don’t have a boyfriend”.
He paused and looked at me. “You don’t?”.
“Yeah”.
“So that means you are not dating Seven at all?”.
“No. Where do you get that idea from?”.
“Which means I have a … “. He trails off. “I mean, I’ve got to go”.
I giggled to myself as he walked off away nervously. I shrugged and walked towards the other side of college.
I think Sean likes me, how cute. He’s cute. I smiled thinking of the fact that he might have a tiny little crush on me.
I hold on to my bag and start walking then stopped seeing Katie and Riley coming my way.
I made to ignore them, Riley mostly but Katie smiled at me waving so I had to go say hi.
I smiled at them. “Hey guys”.
“Sorry but we don’t speak to whore”. Riley retorted. “We speak to girls of higher class”.
“Riley!!”. Katie spoke up. “What the heck? She is not a whore, how can you say that to her?”.
“Katie. Whose side are you on?”.
Katie glanced at me. “I’m with Isabella. I don’t like the fact that you just called her that”.
I beamed brightly as Katie said that. I still got my bestie after all these years. She still stands up for me.
“You go to be kidding me”. Riley stormed off angrily.
I faced Katie. “You know. You didn’t have to do that”.
“I had to. No one is allowed to talk trash against my best friend only me”.
I chuckled lightly. “Yeah. Thanks. I missed hearing you say that”.
“I missed you and Bailey … ?”.
“Isabella”. I corrected her immediately.
“Oh right”. She tapped her forehead. “Don’t go near Alvin again, please. I don’t want anything bad to happen to you”.
“Don’t worry, Katie. I won’t cross paths with Alvin ever again”.
“I’m really serious here. You don’t wanna get on the bad side of Riley in this college”.
“Why?”. I asked her confusedly. “Could something bad happen?”.
“Really bad. She could flush your face in the toilet”.
“Wait, what?”.
She sighed softly. “Bestie. I know you don’t like Alvin but you need to stay away from him”.
“Katie, trust me. I won’t go near him, the others, yeah but not him”.
She breathed out a sigh of relief. “Thanks”.
“Yeah. Now go on and meet Riley before she comes back to bully me”.
Katie smiled giving me a small hug before walking off. I smiled as I turned back in the direction of my dorm.
Something about Katie’s warnings irks me off. Like what is Riley capable of? Its not like Alvin even likes me though.
I immediately bumped into someone and I had to step back saying ‘sorry’. I paused seeing Seven.
“Hey”.
I sighed. “Hey. What do you want?”.
“Look, Isabella. I’m sorry for confronting you about that Sean issue last week. I’m really sorry”.
“So? What do you want me to do?”.
“Just give me a chance and we’ll start all over again”. He pleaded.
“Seven, I don’t__”.
“Isabella … “. He held my hands. “Just one date. I won’t screw it up”.

“Just give me a chance and we’ll start all over again”. He pleaded.
“Seven, I don’t__”.
“Isabella … “. He held my hands. “Just one date. I won’t screw it up”.
Oh boy! As much as I would love to use this to my advantage. I can’t yet. I mean, I need to find out what happened to them.
I sighed softly. “Seven, maybe another time but not now”.
“Why?”.
“Look, you are cute but the two of us, we are just not compatible”.
I guess thats a safer to put it. A safer not to hurt his feelings, for now.
“What do you mean we are not?”. He scoff looking at me. “Like you said I’m cute and you are cute too, we are the perfect kind of couple”.
“Seven, how about we talk about this later on, like maybe another time?”. I told him walking out.
He drew me back. “Isabella, come on. Just one date, it won’t hurt that much to hang out with me”.
Oh Gosh!! He’s so persistent.
“Just one date”. I agreed reluctantly.
His lips curved into a smile. “Really? You’ll go out with me?”.
“Yeah but like you said, don’t screw it up”.
“I won’t”.
He winked at me and walked off making me burst into laughter as I headed off another direction.
Seven can be so funny. He thinks that he’s going to make me his girlfriend after this date.
But come to think of it, I can use this as an avenue to hurt his feelings. But something inside of me don’t wanna do that.
Maybe a drink will help me forget about all of this dumb thoughts coming to me.
I headed towards the smoothie lounge and sighted an empty table but stopped seeing Ryder all by himself on a separate table.
Maybe I should go say hi to him.
I took in a deep breath and walked towards him. I sat on one of the chairs and then he looked up frowning when he saw me.
I flashed him a smile. “Hey”.
“What are you doing here?”. He asked me coldly.
“I just, um, came to get a smoothie and um, then I saw you”.
Gosh!! Why am I stuttering in front of him?
“Why? We are not friends?”.
My smile vanished. “What?”.
“Look, Isabella. I’m not the kind of guy that you love wrapping around your fingers, just so you know”.
“What are you talking about? I just came to say hi”.
“And then flirt with me?”.
I let out a scoff. “Where’s all this coming from?”.
“I need you to stay away from my sister’s boyfriend”.
“Seriously? Thats what this is about, what else did Riley tell you about me?”.
“Riley didn’t need to tell me. You are the kind of girl who probably have fucked all the guys back in your former college, thats the kind of girl you look like”.
“Really? Thats the kind of girl I look like?”.
Tears stung my eyes as he said that. He looked back at his phone ignoring me.
“You know what? I was wrong about you”. I stood up immediately. “You judge people at first instant without knowing much about them”.
“I don’t even need to know about you”. He replied curtly.
“Well I saw the Bailey Hadid you were looking for yesterday”.
He looked at me. “What?”.
“And something tells me she’s not gonna want to talk to you ever again”.
I immediately walked out on him heading out of the lounge.
How dare he say that to me? How dare Riley talk to me that way.
My phone rang jolting me out from my sad thoughts.
I opened my sling bag and grabbed the phone glancing at the caller’s I.D. Owen. I answered the call immediately.
“Hi. Owen”.
“Hey, Sis. How’s Springfield? Better or still the same?”.
“I don’t really know”. I answered him very tiredly.
“Whats wrong? You don’t sound so good”.
“Well apparently, the guy I’ve come to fall in love with just insulted me without even feeling remorse”.
“Ouch!! Thats gonna hurt”.
“Well a little since he insulted Isabella not Bailey”.
“Sis, I think you should drop that act and come back to Australia. I miss you a lot”.
“You miss me? Isn’t Clarissa there?”. I ask teasing him. “Your hot girlfriend”.
“Bailey … “. He warned.
I giggled lightly. “Sorry”.
“Just come back to Australia. Forget about those guys and drop the Isabella part”.
“Speaking of that. Did you call Katie and tell her anything?”.
“I had to. Someone has got to look out for you”.
So thats how she got to know.
I gasped. “Owen, how could you? That was my secret, not yours”.
“Sorry but … Oops, gotta run. Manager is calling”.
“Okay, Bye__”.
He already disconnected the call before I tell him goodbye. I sighed and placed my phone in my bag looking around.
I sighted Tyler going to the basketball court. Hmm, I need to talk to him, to find out where Katie is because I need to talk to her.
I zipped close my bag and head towards where Tyler went to. I followed him and entered into the basketball court as well.
Hmm. It seems empty. He’s the only one here.
I walked past the bleachers and went down to where he was shooting hoops.
“Tyler”. I called him.
He glanced at me. “Bailey? What you doing here?”.
“Its actually Isabella”.
“Right”. He chuckled softly. “Sorry, I mean to say. What are you doing here, Isabella?”.
“Well have you seen Katie? I need to talk to her, its urgent”.
“No”. He shook his head. “But I saw her a couple of minutes ago. She was with Riley talking to some frat members”.
I arched my eyebrows. “Frat?”.
“Yeah. I think Riley wants to have a party or something. Its just like a kind of fraternity and sorority combined though”.
“Oh. I guess I’ll have to talk to Katie later since she’s busy with Riley”. I said walking off.
“You know I never suspected you to be Bailey of high school”.
I turn to him arching my eyebrows. “Why?”.
“Well for instant. Back in high school, you acted invisible, you didn’t talk to anyone but now you seem to love being the center of attraction”.
“Tyler. Do you think of me as a whore?”. I asked wanting to know.
He spanned his ball around. “No. Why?”.
“Well Ryder called me that just because his sister reported me to him, saying that I’m trying to steal Alvin away from her”. I said feeling annoyed.
“Expected. Riley shoved a sophomore’s face down the toilet just because Alvin was talking to her”.
“Is she really that insecure?”.
He shrugged. “Alvin is kind of not sincere to the relationship a little bit. He’s just like Seven”.
I nod in response remembering the first time I met Alvin, he was banging a girl in the restroom. How can I forget that day?
“Oh wow. Isabella, you are here”.
I turned to the direction of that voice to see Riley walking towards us and I scowled at her in response.
“Hey. You are not thinking of going for Tyler now, are you?”.
“Riley … “. Tyler warned her. “Stop it”.
“Anyways. I’m not here to bicker”. She continued.
I crossed my arms. “Then why are you even here? To taunt me?”.
“The exact opposite. I’m having a party, will you like to come?”.
I glanced at Tyler then at her. “You want to invite me?”.
“Yeah”.
“Oh”. I shrugged. “Sure. I can attend”.
She smiled rather sweetly and walked back up the bleachers moving out of the court.
“Don’t go to that party”. Tyler said all of a sudden.
I turned to him. “Why? She was being nice, that was odd but still”.
“Trust me, you don’t wanna know why”.
