RED AND THE ALPHA : CHAPTER 1 – 10

Immediately the door flew open all Red could think about was to burst out running through the door only to be stopped.

“That’s enough. No more running..
How long do you think you can escape from here?” He asked but his words held no impact on her.

“Time to make big money darling” said the man walking into the room and approaching the girl, he yanked her up by the chains not caring about the pain he caused her.

He was Jeff, the caretaker.
The man who runs the place ensuring things went according to the way he wanted it to go.

The horrid smile that implanted on his lips and eyes that gleamed with excitement made regrets crawl up the depths of her heart.

Yanking her by the chains, they walked out the room and into the corridor illuminated by the yellow glow from the lantern.

Now Red could hear the sobs, the prayers and the gnashing of teeth coming from the girls who laid almost naked in the cold.
Cages lined up to the exist and in them were girls of all ages and sizes.

“Shut it you cowards!”
The loud growl coming from Jeff along with the wooden stick he struck on to the metal cages did well to silence them all.

With this, Red who walked behind him could tell he was in a good mood as he hasn’t ordered anyone to be dragged out the cage and be beaten to a point of death serving as a lesson to others.

Walking out the corridors, she was walked in the direction of the room they would keep her allowing men to come in and do whatever they wanted to do with her or so she thought when she found out they were going the wrong way.

“Where are we going?” She asked but was ignored by him.

“We are going the wrong way” she uttered once again and this time, the man scoffed turning his head towards her.

“What’s wrong? Have you forgotten so easily darling?
Have you forgotten what today is?” He asked making a grin crawl up his face on seeing the realization that was quick to masked her face.
Today was her birthday.

The day she finally turned 18.
Her heart raced and her body panicked as she struggled to breath.
Quickly, her steps halted and her hands going to cease the chains away from his grasps.

“You dare fight with me!” He growled pulling even harder on the chains.

“Please don’t, I beg you” she pleaded with tears clouding her face as she knew what awaited her.

“Enough struggling, now move it” he yelled loudly as he yanked her forward in a rough manner.

Red winced, a hiss leaving her lips when they stepped onto the light.
A light she has been deprived of for so many days leaving darkness to be her only companion.

Now, more than ever she yearned to go back to that darkness.
Shortly after, a loud voice boomed in her ears.

“Sold!” Yelled a man looking up the stage where girls were aligned in a straight line and down below were men seated there with eyes fixed on them.

On realising they had brought her to the auctioning arena, panic was quick to Red’s entire being, tears threatening to spill down her face for the day she had been dreading was finally here.

“If they could pay so much just to see your pretty face and to feel your smooth skin, imagine how much they could pay to have you sold to them”

He mused greatly letting his hand weave into her hair and letting it flow off his fingers.
Now Red have heard stories about the auction.

Stories that Made cold sweat form against her skin.
