“She never held a knife up your throat to kill your own mate. You did it out of your own free will”

“That is something I’ll forever regret but it can’t change the fact that she Orchestrated it.

“Don’t let them take me drex. Please…” The voice of poco was heard and confusion was clearly seen on his face.

“One….
Two….” Counted Drakko sounding impatient.

“Three”

“You can have her” Shouted Drex to him making silence to envelope the place.

Weighing the options he would be at a greater loss to seeing how Drakko was willing to go.

“You promised to spare her life”

“I will spare her life but I can’t promise she won’t be punished” said Drakko before walking away only to hear the pleas of poco as she held on to drex screaming for his help.

When he returned, he was informed about red being awake and honestly he couldn’t wait to see her.

So stepping in, he found her sitting on the bed with her hair sprawled all over the bed.

“You are awake”

“I thought I was dead” said Red turning her face to him.

“Never” he came to seat beside her.

“How are you feeling?”

“A little bit better”
She tried to stand only to be sat back down on the bed by him.
Staring at his face intently, she flinched a bit and he could feel it.

“What’s wrong?” He asked but she remained silent.

“You know, Felix said the poison injected into your system give you a lot pain including painful memories I guess” he said placing the duvet over her body.

“I did habe memories and they hurt a lot.
Most of them were times I spent at the slave unit. I also had a memory that happened long ago.
When I was much younger, right after my father was taken away to an asylum.

A man with a powerful aura appeared in front of my aunts doorstep demanding for a girl.

He demanded for me and although I couldn’t see his face, I saw his eyes.

They were dark and much like yours.
It was you back then” she said staring at him and even if Drakko didn’t remember he couldn’t deny it because then, he aimlessly searched for his mate.

“I ran away and ended up at the slave unit” she said.

“I’m sorry about that”

“You seem fond of saying sorry these days and its weird” she said with a chuckle lighting up the mood.

“From the first night you came into the room even after knowing you would be killed, I knew you were brave.
You survived a night which so many can’t.

You actually gave me a tough time”
He said for Red to smile.
It was extremely shocking how those moments of survival turned to simply nothing but memories.

Drakko made sure she had enough rest and even when he didn’t know what to do with poco, he kept her locked up for a while.

Days went by with Red recovering just fine. Three days went and on the fourth day, he brought her out of the pack house.

“Where are we going?” she asked looking puzzled.

“You’ll know soon” he said and drove off. Their destination was to her house and stepping out the car, the person she found standing there made her body go numb entirely because standing there was her father and behind him was Cedric.
