RED AND THE ALPHA : CHAPTER 31 – THE END
Tears unknowingly welled up In her eyes and not able to bear it any longer, she let it roll.
“Red” called her father and quickly she went ahead to hug him.
“I missed you so much” he said.
“I missed you even more. Welcome home dad” she said crying her eyes out.
“When did you come home?”
“Well this gentleman brought me home two days back”
Her father looked behind her to see the man standing there.
“He is kind of weird though” he whispered into Jer ears making her to laugh out loud.
“Invite him in lets have lunch together” he said and Red gestured him in.
Her father was a great cook so no doubt they loved his meals and Drakko found himself asking for more.
In the end when Drakko was about to leave when called out to him halting his movement with two single words.
“Thank you” she said making him turn to her and with a smile he retorted saying.
“It’s no big deal”
After Drakko left, she spent the entire day with her father till she finally slept beside him.
Her days went on with Drakko dropping in sometimes to check up on them.
Time seemed to pass by with Red noticing her father no longer spoke of the monsters.
It was almost as if he had forgotten about them and Red didn’t want to bring it up either afraid that his condition might get worse.
In no time, weeks passed but Drakko no longer showed up making Red feel a bit down.
She guessed that he was busy but when he didn’t answer her calls or neither called back she began to get worried.
It was almost like he had forgotten her and that she never existed making her mood to turn sour.
Her father noticed and was a bit worried.
Cedric sometimes dropped by to give them one or two things they would need and when she asked about Drakko, he would change the topic entirely before zooming off.
And so, one faithful day Drakko himself appeared before her. Well to her father specifically bringing forth ticket for two to Germany.
Her father.loved the idea but to her, it felt like he was trying to send her away.
Not able to take it anymore, she stood going to him when her father went upstairs to get a thing or two.
Drakko was quite surprised to see Red standing in front of him, her brows creased together as she asked him.
“Are you ignoring me?” She questioned him with furrowed brows but them he turned heading out the door.
Red followed suite running to stand in front of him.
“Answer me”
“Yes” he said without denying it.
“Why?”
“Leave Red it’s best for you”
“Not until you tell me what’s wrong” she insisted but he walked past her to the front door where he was about to close the door shut but she pushed herself out.
“Look Red I…” He hesitated.
“Just tell me then I’ll leave you I promise”
“Fine, yes I’m ignoring you”
“But why?”
“Because I don’t want to see you. I’m afraid to say things that I shouldn’t be. To plead to you to stay by my side when I know you don’t want to.
I’ve marked you Red do you know how hard it is for me not to hold you? Not to have you beneath me and to caress you?
You don’t want them but I do” he said taking a breath of relief to show he had been holding it for long.
“Look, you have your life now and I free you from being my slave or even…. My…” He couldn’t bring himself to say it as his wolf whimpered in pain within him.
